Sengoku was lost in thought. He knew that those who could awaken Conqueror's Haki were destined to become some of the most powerful people in the world.

"I should tell Kong-san about this." Sengoku decided, planning to share the news of Brontes's abilities with Fleet-Admiral Kong.

Kong was taken aback when he heard Sengoku's report. After a brief pause, he asked, "Should we promote him to an Admiral?"

Sengoku considered this for a moment, then agreed: "We both know Garp will never take the position. Waiting for him to change his mind is a waste of time. Brontes is an excellent choice. His strength and contributions have met the requirements. Even though I haven't seen him fight, his control over the G-2 Base and his accomplishments in the West Blue for the past two years speak for themselves."

"I'll talk to the Five Elders." Kong said with a nod: "You should speak to him, see if he's ready for the responsibility."

Before talking to Brontes, Sengoku wanted to get Zed's opinion.

"Promote Brontes to Admiral?" Zed was surprised at first, but then he started to think it over.

"Yes, during his mission in the West Blue, he stood up to Sakazuki over the Buster Call Order. It was a small clash, but he showed his Conqueror's Haki." Sengoku said seriously.

"He has Conqueror's Haki?" Zed was so shocked he had to ask again.

"Yes, it's out in the open now. Many on the warship saw it. We don't know when he awakened it, but his strength is certainly at an Admiral's level." Sengoku confirmed.

Zed closed his eyes, thinking back on Brontes's growth from a new recruit to the Vice-Admiral he was now.

Brontes had joined the Elite Camp at eighteen and was now around twenty-eight. Zed had to admit, there weren't many like Brontes in the world.

Under his guidance, Brontes had steadily grown stronger, nearly reaching the rank of Admiral, which filled Zed with both a sense of loss and pride.

"I support his promotion. His strength is at an Admiral's level, and we need young people to take on big roles." Zed said.

"I understand." Sengoku replied.

After the call with Zed, Sengoku didn't immediately call Brontes. Instead, he called Garp, who was on vacation.

Garp had no objections; in fact, he was probably one of the strongest believers in Brontes's potential and sense of justice.

With Garp's blessing, Sengoku contacted his last friend, Vice-Admiral Tsuru, who was in the New World.

"I have no objections. He's a promising young man. We're not getting any younger; it's time for new leaders to take over." Tsuru said with a smile.

With the agreement of the Marine's top officers, Sengoku used the Den Den Mushi to reach out to Brontes, who was in the West Blue.

The World Government had just approved Kong's proposal, confirming Brontes's promotion to Admiral.

...

At the West Blue Marine Base, Brontes was sitting in his office, sorting through paperwork when his Den Den Mushi rang.

"Purprp!"

"Moshi moshi! This is Brontes!" He answered, his voice echoing slightly in the room filled with the sounds of busy work.

"It's me, Sengoku." Came the reply from the Den Den Mushi.

"What can I do for you, Sengoku-san?" Brontes inquired, setting his pen down.

"The situation in the West Blue is now under control. Marineford has decided it's time for you to come back." Sengoku informed him.

"I understand. I'll wrap up a few things here and then I'll return." Brontes responded, nodding to himself as if Sengoku could see him.

Sengoku was about to bring up another matter: "Regarding the Ohara incident..."

But before he could continue, Brontes cut in: "You don't need to explain, Sengoku-san. I'm aware of what the Buster Call means, and I understand that with such a large operation, the fewer people who know, the better. As for my disagreement with Sakazuki, there's no need for concern. I'll handle it."

Brontes didn't dwell on the destruction of Ohara; he saw it as a result of their own actions. The saying 'curiosity killed the cat' seemed fitting.

And as for Sakazuki, Brontes had no intention of apologizing for standing up to him. He had hoped his presence and friendship might have softened Sakazuki's harshness, but he had been mistaken.

"That's good to hear." Sengoku said, sounding relieved.

"Now, the main reason I called was to share some good news." Sengoku said, a hint of a smile in his voice.

"What news?" Brontes asked, his curiosity piqued.

"Brontes, you've been with the Marines for about ten years now, right?" Sengoku asked.

"Yes, it's been ten years since I joined the Elite Camp." Brontes nodded.

"Well, there's been a new appointment from Marineford. Brontes, you are being promoted to an Admiral." Sengoku announced through the Den Den Mushi.

The mood in Brontes's office changed instantly. He wasn't alone; several other marines were there, and they all knew he was on the line with Admiral Sengoku.

They should have excused themselves, but Brontes hadn't asked them to leave, and since Sengoku hadn't mentioned anything confidential, they simply continued with their tasks.

The words had barely left Sengoku's mouth when the atmosphere in Brontes's office shifted palpably.

The other Marines had overheard the conversation, and now they all turned to look at Brontes, their faces a mixture of shock and excitement.

"Admiral?!" The word rippled through the room, carrying with it a weight of respect and awe.

Brontes himself was taken aback. He had always known that he might one day become an Admiral, but he hadn't anticipated it happening so soon.

"Sengoku-san, are you sure you're not playing a joke on me?" He asked, half-expecting this to be some kind of prank.

"I'm not Garp. I don't joke about such important matters " Sengoku replied with a shake of his head.

"This decision was made after careful deliberation. The Five Elders have given their approval. You just need to come back to Marineford for the official appointment and ceremony."

"I understand. I'll make my way to Marineford as soon as I can." Brontes responded, his voice steady despite the surprise.

After ending the call, Brontes sat in silence, contemplating the sudden turn his career had taken.

At the age of twenty-eight, he was set to become the youngest Admiral in the history of the Marines, a record-breaking achievement.

...

A week later, Brontes had wrapped up his duties in the West Blue and returned to Marineford.

The news of his promotion had spread rapidly, causing a stir among the ranks. Some doubted the veracity of the rumors, but the widespread talk lent the news credibility.

...

In the New World, Sakazuki's reaction to the news was one of anger and resentment. "They want me to return?" He growled upon hearing the news.

"Yes, sir." His assistant confirmed, treading carefully.

"What does his becoming an Admiral have to do with me?!" Sakazuki snapped: "Tell them I'm on an important mission and can't return."

"Right away, sir!" The assistant hurried off to send the message back to Marineford.

Sakazuki was left staring out at the sea, his fists clenched, the memory of Brontes's punch still fresh in his mind.

...

Back at Marineford, the grand hall was filled with high-ranking marines, all there to witness the historic moment.

Brontes's promotion was more than just a ceremony; it was a statement. An Admiral was the embodiment of the Marines' might, a deterrent to the most formidable of pirates.

For over two decades, there had been an open seat among the Admirals, unofficially reserved for Garp, who had never accepted it. But that era was ending. Brontes was stepping into the role, becoming the third and youngest Admiral in the history of the Marine.

Sengoku placed the Admiral's coat on Brontes's shoulders and pinned a medal to his chest. Brontes wore numerous other medals, each a approve to his service and contribution to the Marine, only displayed on such significant occasions.

The hall erupted in applause as Brontes officially became an Admiral.

The respect for him was nearly universal; his strength and leadership were well-known. Even figures like Kuzan, who would typically call him "Commander" in other circumstances, recognized Brontes's authority and influence within the Marines.

...

The next day, the news of the new Admiral spread across the seas, carried by the swift wings of the News Coo. Pirates and Marines alike were abuzz with the announcement.

"Hey, man, come and read this!" One civilian called out to another, holding up the newspaper.

"The Marine have appointed a new Admiral?" His companion read aloud.

"Admiral 'Ragnarok,' formerly Vice-Admiral Brontes, has been promoted."

"Ragnarok, that's an unusual name, isn't it? Do you know what it means?" Another civilian chimed in, scratching his head.

"The paper says it comes from an ancient civilization, meaning the God of Thunder." Someone answered, having read the article more thoroughly.

"Damn, that's a powerful name!" A voice exclaimed from the crowd.

"The Marines' strength seems to be growing every day. With Admiral Ragnarok, they've reached new heights."

"Captain! We're about to enter the New World." A lookout shouted.

"What's there to fear? There's only three Admiral; it's not like we'll run into them." The captain replied with false bravado.

The appointment of a new Admiral always sent ripples through the pirate world, urging them to tread more carefully.

After two decades, the seat left vacant was now filled by the renowned Rumble-Rumble Fruit user, Brontes.

Within the Marine, Brontes's promotion was met with pride and admiration. His journey from a young boy rescued from a deserted island to an Admiral was a tale that inspired many.

"He's already an Admiral, that's very impressive. The kid from back then has grown up." An older Marine remarked with a nostalgic smile as he read the news.

"Sir, is it true that you brought Admiral Ragnarok into the Marines?" A young Marine asked, looking up to the seasoned marine.

"Yes, he was just a kid back then. We rescued him from a deserted island. Who would have thought that kid would rise to a higher rank than me?" Vice-Admiral Burgi replied, his smile reflecting a mix of pride and the bittersweet passage of time. Now nearly seventy, he was nearing retirement.

"Vice-Admiral Brontes has been promoted to Admiral, what great news!" Cheered the personnel at G-2 base.

"An Admiral? He sure is growing up fast." Vice-Admiral Dis commented with a warm smile.

"Admiral Ragnarok? Brontes didn't let us down." Another Vice-Admiral added.

"Hahaha! It's a day worth celebrating. Let's have a banquet today." Dis shouted, his laughter echoing through the base.

"Long Live the Captain!" Cheers filled the base, a chorus of celebration for the new Admiral.

...

Back at Marineford, the festivities were in full swing, with Brontes as the guest of honor. His residence was filled with prominent figures like Borsalino, Kuzan, and others who had known Brontes well.

"Congratulations, Brontes." One of his friends said, clapping him on the back with a hearty laugh.

"Thank you." Brontes replied with smile.

Admiral Ragnarok was his new alias, a name he had chosen himself. In this world, 'Ragnarok' was a term without meaning, but in another, it belonged to the God of Thunder. When it came time to choose an alias, Fleet-Admiral Kong had suggested 'Lightning Dragon,' but Brontes had opted for the cooler-sounding 'Ragnarok.' He even concocted a little story to explain its origin, which Kong had taken a liking to, ultimately agreeing to Brontes's preference.

"Kid, you're an Admiral now. Come see me later; I have some things to discuss with you." Garp whispered to Brontes as he passed by.
