14 {11} Desertion

[Birka, Paradise Sea]

(Narrator's POV)

.

While our unworried black-haired youth was walking back lazily to his destination, in the centre of the sky island, a group 100 of unaware Birkans were discussing their plans.

"Tch. It looks like some men escaped with the women and children back to Siedlung." Fodder 1

[A/N: Seidlung is the main settlement where the non-racist Birkans are.]

"Those traitors!" Fodder 2 yelled.

"They deserve death!" Fodder 3 followed.

"Have they forgotten what the outsiders have done to us?!" Fodder 4 asked out in anger.

"Yama, what are we going to do about this? They even took the food." F1 turned to their leader, Yama.

Yama is a round-bodied obese man with a triple chin. He has long, wavy black hair, tanned skin with bags under his eyes and thick lips.

He wears a white toga with black vertical stripes, three on each side. Over his toga, he has an orange sash connected by strings and has red lining and dark orange vertical stripes on his toga. Yama wears gold bracelets on both his wrist and has wings on his back, like other Birkans.

"Even my twin brother Tama left," Yama spoke with sadness present in his voice.

"Tch. Gather all your weapons and prepare! When night falls, we raid Seidlung!" He quickly recovered and said to his followers.

"YEAH!"

"I'm going to enjoy the women!"

"Hey, I call dibs on Maria!"

"What?! No, she's mine!"

While the others were cheering, Yama called his second in command, Durga, into a hut.

Durga is a bald man with strange pendent organs on both sides of his head. He also has small and sharp horns on top of his head.

He wears a white robe with baggy white pants, a white toga bound around his waist, and a red collar with a golden ring at the front, giving him the appearance of a goat.

He wears brown sandals with shooters attached to the bottom.

"So, Yama, what are we going to do with Tama?" Durga asked.

*Sigh*

"I knew he was always soft. It's time I deal with him. I'm giving him an ultimatum - join us or die." Yama said in a grim tone.

"Damm. So it's finally come to that. Anyway, we should start discussing our plans."

"Yes, we should star-"

*Thud*

He was interrupted by the sound of something heavy falling to the ground.

"Did you hear that?" Yama asked.

"Yeah, I did. I think it came from the forest side. Let's go outside." Durga said before going outside, with Yama following closely.

When Yama got outside, he saw all of his followers facing the forest side.

*Thud*

*Crash*

"Hey, is it me, or are the sounds getting louder and closer?" F5 asked.

*Chirp*

*Hiss*

*Roar*

*Wolf*

They all heard the sounds of various animals and readied their weapons for combat.

"Shit. What the heck is happening?" Durga asked out loud.

Various animals began appearing from the forest, and as they got closer, the birkans raised their guns to shoot.

"HUH?!"

They were shocked as the animals ran past them.

"What could be causing them to run?" Yama asked while facing the direction the animals ran.

He got his answer when he turned back to the forest, a red sword slash cutting through trees and the ground.

"R-Run!" Yama yelled.

While Yama and some others were out of the attack range, others were not. He watched in horror as they got killed.

"HEL-AAGH!"

"NO-UGH!"

"MY LEG!"

After a few seconds, the slash finally passes through the floating cloud and into the sea.

With 20 minutes passing by, the group, or what remained of it, got together to discuss what happened.

"Durga, how many perished?" Yama asked in a grim tone.

"40," Durga responded with sadness present in his tone.

"Yama, we have to retaliate! We can't allow this attack to go unpunished." F6

"YEAH!!" The others yelled in agreement.

"I don't think it was the other group," Durga said out loud.

"Hmmm. Why do you say this?" Yama asked Durga.

"Well, the attack came from the Southside of the island, but Seidlung is on the Northside of the island."

"The only people living on the Southside are...THE OUTSIDERS!" Yama said with a now visible tick on his face and disgust in his voice.

"Oh, we are retaliating! BOYS, grab your weapons." "YEAH!"

The group grabbed all their weapons and was about to move out until another problem came up.

"Uh...what do we do about the bodies?" F1 asked.

"Hmmm." Yama mulled over it, then picked five people to bury the bodies.

"You five are to bury the bodies and remain here till we come back. Understood?" Yama asked them.

"Yes, sir!" They responded with a salute.

"Good. Now let's go kill some filth."

"YEAH!"

As the group led by Yama disappeared into the forest, one of the cleanup crew decided to speak.

"So you all saw that attack and how it killed most of us, right?" F1 asked.

"Yeah." The other four answered back.

"And you know no one has come back from trying to hunt any of the outsiders, right?" F1 asked again.

"...Yeah."

"I'm out," F1 said before running in the direction of Seidlung.

"Me too."

"Same here."

"I don't want to die."

"I wanted out five years ago."

They all ran in Seidlung's direction.
