21 Potential Crewmates

After making a plan on bringing down Don Papito, Alex and the gang decided to look for something to eat as they left the fighting arena. They decided to go to a restobar called 'Black Out' and when they got inside, they saw a twenty-three-year-old chef who was getting beaten by the owner. The owner was a big bellied man who was wearing a gold chain and had a cane. Once he saw them go inside the restaurant, he immediately stopped beating the chef as he asked them what their order was and Alex and his crew just ordered whatever their best seller was and the owner went into the kitchen and shouted at the chef to cook faster as there were customers.

Alex got curious about the restaurant and asked some customers why he was doing that to the chef and not getting reprimanded by the customers. The customers just told him that the real owner of the restobar was Don Papito and the fat guy was just one of his subordinates. The reason why they don't call him out is because they don't want to anger Don Papito as he is considered to be the ruler of Falgus Haven.

'It's Don Papito again. Well I've got to thank the guy since he brought me two potential crewmates that can help immensely.' Alex thought as he would plan to get rid of Don Papito and his subordinates to free Falgus Haven from their reign of terror.

"Captain are you thinking of getting rid of Don Papito?" as if he knew what Alex was thinking, Franco asked Alex about his plan of action.

"Yeah, this Don Papito guy should be taught a lesson. Let's stay here for a week or so, so that we could know more about him and destroy him little by little. But, before we do that I'm going to have a talk with our chef boy here and Fraulein and ask them to join our crew." said Alex as Robin and Franco were shocked because Alex wanted to recruit two people from this s***hole of a place.

"They look alone and seem to think that their lives are worth nothing and I want to change that. I want them to learn what it's like to have someone have your back and have a family they could rely on. Someone who really knows their worth." while it might look to some people as manipulating them when they're at their lowest, Alex does this without malice as he truly wants to give these people a home and a family that would support them in whatever they want and need. This is how Alex gains their respect and loyalty because even if the person is a slave, Alex would look past that and see the person for who they really are and see the good in them so that he could bring out their full potential and become better versions of themselves.

After Alex said this, Franco and Robin seemed to have seen the captain in a new light and have a newfound respect for their captain. To them even if Alex is a fight-loving goofball, he is a good person at heart and has a soft spot for people who seemed to have lost their way in life and stopped looking for their purpose in life. He wanted to be the light that would guide them in the darkest days of their lives and the one who will help them find their purpose.

While Franco and Robin were admiring their captain's speech, Alex quietly went in the kitchen and went to the chef and said "Yo Chef-san! My name is Alex what is yours?"

The chef, not wanting to talk to Alex, just said "F*** off."

Alex ignored it and continued "Your food tastes great Chef-san! How can you make it so tasty and delicious?"

The chef not having any of Alex's antics finally got tired and slammed the knife on the chopping board and looked angrily at Alex as he said "I don't know what you want, but you better get out of here or else that fat f*** might come back and snap. Trust me, you don't him to snap as he would tell on you to Don Papito. I have lived and worked here for ten years already and I don't have any purpose anymore except cook in this sorry excuse of a restaurant. Now beat it kid, I still have cook."

Alex heard this and knowing he would not get anything more out of the chef just secretly placed a note in the chef's back pocket and left the kitchen. The chef noticed this but said nothing as he continues to cook their food and would check it later.

When Alex came back to the table Franco asked, "How did it go?"

Alex said excitedly "I have to get him on the crew at all costs!" Robin asked him "Why is it supposed to be him? There are plenty of chefs in the East Blue."

"It's because he saw the note." Alex plainly said

"Explain to us why him seeing a note makes you excited about him being our chef." Franco said as he sometimes doesn't know what his captain thoughts are.

"I used a technique to put the note in his back pocket. Granted I didn't really hide it that much but to a normal person it would be a hundred percent not noticeable. BUT HE NOTICED IT! Isn't it amazing?! A chef who could notice my weakest concealment technique is not a normal chef. With enough training he can be a dependable member of our crew!" said Alex as he was determined to get this chef and Fraulein on his crew and no one, not even Don Papito, would stop him.
