New Acquaintances

"Quiet down guys, this house has people living in it." the crew was shocked that this island still had people living in it. Alex and the group went up to the house as silently as possible to avoid alerting the people that might be living in the small house. As they got closer to the small house, the door suddenly opened and they immediately hid behind some bushes. While they were hiding, they heard a girl, who looked like she was the same age as them, speaking while holding a knife "Huh? I could have sworn I heard people who were walking towards us. Oh well, maybe I am just paranoid." the group was surprised because someone managed to notice them going towards the house. Alex was looking at the girl who just went out and was amazed at the girl's perception and he could tell that she does not know Haki as he did not feel that the girl was using Haki. 'She could already sense us without using Haki?! What more if she uses Haki? Maybe if she learns Haki she might surpass all of us in terms of range. I should recruit her because she has talents and because I don't want the people in this small house to suffer anymore.' said Alex in his mind as he did not realize he was still looking at the girl who was holding a knife and he got slapped in the head by a hand. He turned and he found that Robin was a bit pissed off and he thought that it was because he was distracted during the mission. 'Damn, this is not the time to think about possible recruits. Alright, let us see who are the people living in the house.' said Alex in his mind as he apologized to Robin and signaled the group to go towards the small house as the girl went inside already.

As they reached the house, they went around it and heard a conversation going on inside and they decided to listen to it. "Big sister Monet, when are mom and dad coming home? They said that they will be coming home in no time." said a girl who sounded like a child inside the house and they heard a familiar voice inside of the house as it replied, "I don't really know Sugar, but we have to stay strong for them alright?" then the child named Sugar replied, "Okay big sister Monet, I will stay strong and surprise them when they come back!" Alex and his group heard their conversation and they were saddened that these children were orphans and to make things worse, they were also living in the worst environment possible. "I feel bad for these girls, I was once like them so I know how it feels to be alone and the feeling that your death would come anytime and anywhere is truly a horrifying experience." said Robin as she remembered the days when she was on the run until she met Alex and it changed her life. 'You don't know how much you can change the life of one person, Alex.' thought Robin as she looked at Alex and the group and realized that each and every one of these people has lost their way in their lives and were in their darkest moments but it was Alex who pulled them from the darkness into the light giving them another purpose to live and to pursue their dreams.

Robin was pulled out of her thoughts as she heard Alex move and go inside of the house to talk to the siblings. She and the group immediately followed him and they were at the door when they heard Alex knock. They were surprised at his action because normally he would just push the door away and went inside. Robin and Franco smiled since they both know that their captain would never scare people who were trapped like these girls and would always talk it out with them and by some miracle he would always pull it off.

After he knocked, Alex saw that the little girl who was looking at him with a curious face as she said "Who might you be big brother?" and Alex had the urge to hug the little girl as he remembered her sister in Vanya Village. He was even more convinced to recruit them into the crew as he didn't want them to suffer any longer and there is also the fact that they have survived here for as long as they have, which means that they have the ability to fend for themselves. "I would like to talk to your sister. Do you think you can let us in?" said Alex with a smile and Sugar looked at him for a few moments with a serious expression and after that, she immediately let him in with a smile as she said "Alright big brother you can go in. You seem like a good person and I trust that you won't do anything bad to us." Alex and the group were surprised at what she said but they did not mind it as they went inside of the house to talk to her sister.

"Who was it Sugar?" asked the girl from before from the kitchen as she was currently cooking for her sister. "It was a group of people, don't worry about it big sister Monet, they are good people. I can see that they don't have ill intentions towards us and just want to talk, right big brother?" said Sugar as she looked at Alex. "Yes, little Sugar we just want to talk to your big sister." Alex said as he ruffled Sugar's head. "Alright, mind telling us your names first since you all know me from when you listened in on our conversation a while ago." the group again was shocked but Alex smiled and said as he introduced all of his crew members that are here "Pardon us for that, I am Alex and I am the captain of the Asura Pirates and these are my crew members we are incomplete because the others are on the ship." then put his hand out for a hand shake. Monet then shook his hand and said "Well, since you already know, I'll just repeat it my name is Monet and this is my little sister Sugar."
