3 02. Golden Lottery

Ignoring this extremely stupid title, I began to read the description of my award, for which I had been plowing like hell for the past month. And I have to say, I'm not disappointed.

The name itself, in principle, speaks for itself, but in short, I got the opportunity to use the lottery, the prize of which could be anything from the worlds of the omniverse known to me - weapons, superpowers, various skills, unique items, powers of known characters, summoning loyal allies, and so on.

And the coolest thing is that winning in any case will be useful, and I will always get something good. There will be no consolation prizes, like an iron sword or a bottle of water, but there will always be a worthy prize, which in any case will find its use. At least according to the description of the lottery.

To use the wheel of fortune, I will need to buy a lottery ticket. The ticket itself will have to be bought for gold and only for gold. Moreover, the price of tickets will increase exponentially depending on how many times I used the lottery.

At the moment, I have three free tickets, which I received as a bonus for the first entry into the Golden Lottery (for short). To buy the next ticket, I will have to pay one kilogram of gold, the next one will cost two kilograms, then four kilograms, eight, sixteen, thirty-two, and so on, up to infinity, or until this world runs out of gold.

And I must say, it is hard to imagine a world that would be better suited for the conditions of the Golden Lottery than the world of One Peace. In this world, if you have great power, it is quite easy for you to get huge sums of money.

At least if you stand on the other side of the law. Still, it's unlikely that the Marines earn much, especially if you're not an Admiral or Commander-in-Chief.

What can we say, if the rewards for the heads of strong pirates amount to tens or even hundreds of millions of belly (local currency).

And I really hope that the Golden Lottery will give me the opportunity to get enough power to get that kind of money.

True, I still need to find out the rate of gold to belly in order to begin to roughly navigate, how much do I need to earn to buy a lottery ticket.

Before, I was glad that I ended up in this world, as I always dreamed of plunging into adventures on the Grand Line and exploring this world, but now, my delight knows no bounds, as I have a very good idea of what prospects open up for me thanks to prizes Golden Lottery.

Well, I won't lie, perhaps I would have been happier if I had ended up at Hogwarts during first year of Harry Potter, when it was possible to get my hands on the Philosopher's Stone without any problems, thanks to the power of which one could get an infinite supply gold.

But, what is, that is, it's a sin for me to complain, given that now I have the opportunity to get anything from the worlds of the omni-universe. And now, I know what I'm going to be when I get off the island.

Once I realized what world I found myself in, I knew that I would have to make a choice between the Marines, the Pirates, the Revolutionary Army or the Bounty Hunter.

The first are, in fact, the army of the World Government, law enforcement officers and defenders of innocent citizens who are oppressed by malicious pirates. The problem is that what I said earlier is complete heresy.

The Marines are a corrupt organization, most of whose members are greedy and immoral freaks who are much more interested in their own good than their real duty. Many Marines are far worse than the pirates they are supposed to be fighting. And this fact makes me sick.

Of course, I'm exaggerating a little, and among the Marines there are worthy people who really protect people and fight pirates for the sake of justice, but, unfortunately, such a minority.

And to be honest, I don't want to be in an organization, one of the Admirals, that is so immoral that it is ready to kill a thousand children for the sake of capturing one pirate.

It's clearly not worth the opportunity to get professional training at a Marine training center and the chance to learn Haki and Rokushiki. Plus, it will take too much time, which I'm not going to waste having the Golden Lottery.

In general, as you understand, I do not have a high opinion of the Marines, and I do not intend to join them. Moreover, they have little prospects, and I can hardly earn enough gold to buy lottery tickets, which I absolutely need to do if I do not want to die soon.

In addition, I have not yet taken into account the World Government itself, which is also that snake pit with its secrets, problems and politics. I haven't even mentioned the World Noble, the Five Elders, and Im-sama, whoever he is.

So f**k these Marines, I'd rather be a free man and not be just another soldier. I'm starting a new life, not to obey anyone. Moreover, who knows what they will do to me if they find out about the Golden Lottery. I have to be more careful with this.

The next option is much more attractive to me, after all, pirates are synonymous with freedom and adventure, exactly what I am now craving so much.

In addition, being a pirate, it is quite easy to get a lot of money, because you can just rob civilians and other pirates. Although, I would not do the first, since I still have a conscience.

But this option is also not suitable, since I do not want to be hunted by the World Government, at least not until I get a significant level of power. Still, when the whole world is looking for you, it is difficult to enjoy a leisurely adventure with complete freedom. Well, to be honest, I don't want to run away from the Marines all the time.

And do not forget that 95% of pirates are ordinary sea bandits, thugs and rapists who really need to be caught and executed for everything they have done. And, frankly, I don't want to belong to such a faction. Especially if ordinary people of this world will be afraid of me.

It is very rare when there are worthy pirates who just want adventure, like the same Straw Hats. Although, it would be more correct to call them Adventurers. And this, by the way, is also a working option.

I can find Luffy and join his team to join them on their journey to Laf Tale. But, in spite of my great love for this pirate crew, I don't want that either.

Firstly, because I don't know what year I'm currently in, and I may have to wait a very long time until Luffy travels, and secondly, because I will be limited by his story, and further events will for me predictable.

This is the adventure of Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hats, not mine. I'm the protagonist of my story and this is my adventure. I want to decide my own future path, and not follow the paved path of the canon.

I'm sure someday we'll meet the Straw Hat crew, but I'm not going to join their crew, I'll be on my own voyage.

Joining the revolutionary army will also be out of the question, since I don't know their real motives and I don't know anything about their leader, Monkey D. Dragon.

May be, they really just want to destroy the World Government in order to free the world from their domination, but I don't really believe in something like that. The rank and file members of the army most likely really came together for this and believe in this mission, but the army commanders are definitely hungry for something else.

I'm sure Dragon has some ulterior motive to raise an army to fight the government, and I don't think I'll like him.

It's entirely possible that he's just a power-hungry bastard who wants to take over the world and sit on the Empty Throne himself. Although, perhaps he is indeed a noble liberator who set out to free the world from the oppression of the World Noble. In any case, I don't know the truth and don't want to risk finding it out.

And, as I said, I'm not going to obey anyone or spend my life fighting the World Government. This is my second chance and I'm not going to waste it on this. Plus, again, there is the issue of money.

Most likely, most of what I can earn, I will have to donate to the needs of the Revolutionary Army in order to quickly bring the victory over the World Government.

Yeah, look for the fool. I have somewhere to spend all the money that I can get. On this, in fact, my survival depends.

And, after all this tirade, which for the most part was just an excuse for my choice, it is very clear that I am going to become a Bounty Hunter. Mostly a Pirate Hunter, of course.

It seems to me that this option fits all my criteria. A bounty hunter is essentially a freelance mercenary who can catch criminals and receive impressive rewards from the World Government for this.

Moreover, the stronger the pirate, the greater the reward, which is also, of course, a plus. And, do not forget that the hunting targets themselves can also be robbed and get even more prey.

The hunters work for the Marines, but they are not subordinate to them. They are not obliged to follow their orders, since, in fact, are civilians.

Although, here I also have to be careful, since the Marines are different, and they can simply announce a reward for me out of resentment, and I will not be able to continue to be a hunter. I need to prevent this from happening for as long as possible.

While Bounty Hunters are not considered criminals, law enforcement, like the Marines, treat them with disdain, but that's what the reputation is for. The more honestly I conduct business, the more confidence in me will be.

Plus, it's a great option for a loner and an introvert like me. Although I decided to start all over again, I still find it difficult to discard old habits. At the moment, I prefer a solo trip, without a team. And what will happen next, we'll see in the future.

In general, I decided that as soon as I left Sixis Island, I will become a Bounty Hunter and start making money from it to get gold, which I will spend on lottery tickets. I was also lucky that I ended up in the weakest of the seas and I think I can already now cope with the weakest pirates. Most importantly, don't die.

In addition to the next steps, I also need to decide on a long-term plan and a place where I definitely should go. There is no point in arguing that my main goal is to become stronger in order to survive in this dangerous world. And the fastest way to become stronger is to get as much gold as possible, with which I can buy tickets for which I will receive omniverse prizes.

Making money by hunting pirates is certainly good, but I know at least three places where I can find literally mountains of gold that will help me get a lot of tickets.

The first place is, of course, Skypiea. A island in the sky that has an entire city made of pure gold. To be honest, it seems to me that that gold will be enough for me to buy hundreds of tickets, which will make me almost invincible.

However, in order to get all this gold, I have to fight with a guy who has the power of Lightning Logia, despite the fact that now I'm just a weakling who thinks he knows who knows what, and doesn't even know how to use Haki.

The second location is the Holy Land of Mary Geoise, the home of the Celestial Dragons the local 'gods'. As far as I know, in this city, the usual paths are made of gold, which perfectly shows the level of wealth of these vile parasites.

Considering that the rest of the world pays a very impressive tribute to Tenryubito, I do not think that I would be mistaken if I assume that Mary Geoise, this is the place where the largest amount of money supply and treasures in the world is stored. And perhaps all the assets of the World Government. A very good target for me.

True, in order to get to this money, I will have to fight with three Admirals (if there are already three), the Admiral of the Marine Fleet, the Supreme Commander of the World Government, Five Elders and agents of Cypher Paul. This is definitely not my level, so I can only dream.

Well, the third place is Gran Tesoro, a huge ship with a metropolis built on it, which is called the largest entertainment city in the world. I hope Gildo Tesoro has already created it.

Most of the Gran Tesoro is made of gold, and this ship is supposed to hold 20% of the world's money in circulation, and has been recognized by the World Government as an independent nation.

And the owner of this place has a Devil Fruit power that allows him to control gold. I think this ship is just doing its best to get my attention. I'll definitely head there when I'm strong enough.

Well, for the moment, I think that I should aim for Skypiea, especially since it is the closest.

After leaving the island, I will begin my journey, hunting pirates along the way and earning lottery tickets. I will getting stronger, and hopefully by the time I arrive on Jaya, I will be able to defeat Enel. True, I may be lucky and he has not yet captured Skypiea, but I have little faith in this.

On the way to Jaya, I will be able to explore the East Blue, maybe even the other three seas, North Blue, South Blue and West Blue, then I will go to the Grand Line, where there are a few more places that I am interested in and where I'm , maybe, I can find treasures and gold.

That is my plan. Well, now that I have already decided everything for myself, it's time to use my three free tickets, which I hope will give me great prizes and the opportunity to leave this damned island.

Without any further delay, I activated the wheel of fortune and spent all my lottery tickets.

As soon as I did this, another holographic panel appeared in front of my face, which read:

[Welcome to Ultra Mega Super Cool Omniverse Gold Lottery!!!

Use of three bonus tickets
