Following his memory, Carnes entered a room.
Hmm, this used to be a room.
However, now the wooden house no longer exists.
"Boom!"
Carnes lifted the floor barehanded.
Underneath the floor, a moderate-sized space was revealed.
And within this space, there lay a long sword, a silver-hilted blade with a scabbard!
"Old buddy, we meet again~" Carnes muttered softly, filled with emotion, as he retrieved the silver longsword.
"Clang~" Accompanied by the sound of a blade being unsheathed, the sword emerged, and a glint of cold light sparkled from its edge.
The blade also bore green patterns.
"The sharpness still remains, Eclipse." Carnes chuckled and whispered as he gazed at the blade's edge.
Then he sheathed Eclipse and fastened it to his waist.
Eclipse was a unique sword he had custom-made by a skilled craftsman after gaining some reputation on the Grand Voyage, a sword that stood out from the rest!
Over the years, Eclipse had accompanied Carnes through countless battles, big and small.
Surveying the surroundings, the wooden house had been destroyed, and it was no longer inhabitable.
Carnes looked up at the sky; it wasn't early anymore.
"It's getting dusk. Should I spend the night at the tavern?" he murmured softly.
Suddenly, Carnes remembered that he had an unopened beginner's gift from the system.
This prompted him to summon the system panel and speak.
"System, open the beginner's gift!"
