10 Sparring partner!

"I will take the steak with potatoes, the XXL cheeseburger with fries and the pasta with meatballs. Also a bottle of your best red wine."

"Steak, Cheeseburger, Pasta and grape juice x3. Got it!"

"Oi! We ordered wine!!" x2

I was currently sitting in party's bar in Foosha Village together with Ace and Sabo. The lovely Makino took our orders while the two idiots next to me don't seem to understand that they aren't supposed to shout at her.

Lately an everlasting boredom plagued my mind and I couldn't get rid of it no matter what. I tried bulli*cough* playing with my brother, tortu*cough* training Sabo and many more things but nothing helped. Ace is just too weak for the current me, no offense, Sabo can't keep up why my training regime and things like hunting have become way to easy. Training has become unnecessary, since I don't have any new techniques to learn, and no matter how much I train, as long as I stay in east blue, I won't be able to raise my power and proficiency beyond what I would reach naturally on my birthday.

So I decided to take Sabo and Ace and come to this bar hoping to find something like a party or perhaps little Luffy but sadly even here everything is quiet. Except the usual drunken murmur of the villagers that is. I don't even know why I expected it to be different, after all this isn't a show on tv anymore.

'Luffy is currently god knows where, so maybe that's why it is so quiet? No I am certain that is the reason it is so peaceful here'

A little while later our food was delivered and disappeared from this world within 5 minutes. Thankfully good food can raise my mood. After staying a little while longer and watching Sabo and Ace argue for a bit, I stood up and got ready to leave after paying the bill.

How do I have money? Well big softie wouldn't give us any if asked without reason. Let's just say I was raised by bandits and the Goa Kingdom is full of rich and disgusting shitstains so take a wild guess. I don't think it's necessary for me to mention the rest but among the things I tried to counter my boredom with, was robbing nobles of the Goa Kingdom. Honestly that wasn't so hard either. Put on a mask, choose a target, do the deed, run towards the city center, take a turn and run into an alley and magically disappear ;)

As I was walking out of the bar I suddenly felt a huge presence nearing this village from the sea side. It wasn't my grandpa since his presence feels different, furthermore this one is foreign to me but it was extremely strong and moreover it wasn't the only strong presence I could sense!

'This can only be him!'

I thought to myself. Instantly running to the harbour I wait for them to dock. Soon enough Ace and Sabo arrived as well, just before their ship was close enough for the people around us to notice the pirate flag.

They reacted as I expected, running away while screaming and shouting about a pirate attack to warn the village and just before 'his' ship docked the men of the village gathered with whatever makeshift weapon they could find in their hands and tried to look… intimidating?

'Let's ignore them for now.' After deciding that in my heart I turn my sight back on the ship, more precisely the people on the ship… no the people who just left the ship.

'Honestly how could Luffy not be here today of all days?' That thought passed through my mind for a moment.

Leading the pirates was him, Redhair Shanks! The man who will be acknowledged as an emperor of the seas in the next seven year and the man, chosen by me to be my sparring partner during his stay. It may be a spontaneous decision but I feel like he is just what I needed to test out my current level.

"These people are pirates? Should we stay and help if they act aggressively?"

'Sabo you are goodhearted and all but if they really wanted to attack you and Ace wouldn't be much of a help' I thought and judging by his silence so far Ace seems to have sensed their strength as well. Or at least that they are stronger then us.

The Mayor and Shanks talked for a bit, before the villagers made way and led him to the bar where Makino is. Following them I walked into the bar and looked for shanks and after spotting him directly approached him. Having his attention on me I said the first thing that came to my mind.

"Care to have a sparring match with me?"

For some reason the bar went silent just when I started talking, so practically everyone heard what I said.

"AHHHAHAHAHA!"

That was mostly the reaction of his crewmates that followed although there were some exceptions like Ben, Yasopp and other core members.

Shanks just kept staring at me for a while and got the same stare as a reply. He should have vaguely felt my current strength so there should be a 50/50 chance he will agree but he also might just laugh and invite to drink and party with them instead. I wouldn't reject the offer but I'd still rather fight with him once. Should I have invited him first and then asked for a spar? Maybe if I…

"How about this? After the sparring match we return here and the loser pays the winners drinks!"
