122 Second stage

[Quest: Win against a yonko without any casualties from your crew (complete)]

"Install the updated synchronization rate."

Whole Cake Island was gone and in it's stead, a gaping hole was left in the ocean. Steam was still rising in a radius of many miles, as were tsunamis and storms of equally gigantic proportions. Those who did not flee in time, no longer walk, or rather sail, among the living, except for one man.

Portgas D. Jackson, who is responsible for this catastrophic scene was busy staring holes in the air, while using geppo to keep himself far enough above sea level to not get swept away by any sea monster, waves or monster waves.

After a short instance, during which his cheat synchronization was updated, and in turn his strength increased, a barrage of notifications popped up in front of him.

'Sink me! What is this?'

Equally surprised and confused, Jackson exclaimed in his head. As someone who was seriously fighting just a short while ago, he found it a bit hard to wrap his head around the messages that popped up. At least those that talked about stages and what not but after taking a bit of time and calming his mind, it didn't feel too difficult.

Playfully adapting a thinking pose while in midair and ignoring his wounds, Jackson thoroughly went through every message.

'I get that I've reached 100% and not being able to synchronize beyond that is perfectly understandable but what is a hidden piece and what are these stages? Why are only those terms not explained?'

As Jackson was mulling things over in his head, he decided to take a look at those mentioned quests while at it.

[Quest: Build a fleet of at least 100 ships]

[Quest: Raise an army of at least 5000 pirates]

[Quest: Raid Impel Down and take in at least one inmate from level 6, level 5 and level 4]

[Quest: Conquer at least one third of the new world and declare it your territory]

"Son of a biscuit eater! Who do you think is gonna manage all those people? All that territory? These are all pains in the ass… mentioning pains in the ass, maybe I should start looking for the others. Some seemed to have received quite a beating."

No sooner said than done, he went off in search of his crew members that hopefully weren't too close by when Jackson blew up the island.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Some time passed and naturally news of this incident would quickly make the round. It didn't take 2 whole days for the world to learn about what recently transpired on Whole Cake Island along with new bounties for everyone involved to appear.

Swarms of restlessly flying news gulls appeared everywhere and anywhere. No city and no islands were spared, not even ships on high sea could remain clueless about what recently transpired, no matter how much people wished they could.

"Oi, Oi, Oi! This must be a bad joke" A man in his 30s exclaimed in disbelieve.

"For real? Can the navy even stop this monster?" A young woman, the man's neighbor, had a similar reaction.

Because for normal folks this news article felt more like a horror story. Who were the yonkos? Pirates so powerful that not even Navy Headquarters could recklessly provoke them, despite being labeled as the world's strongest force on sea.

But according to what everyone just read, Portgas D. Jackson and his crew, together with Boa Hancock and her Kuja pirates not only won against Big Mom on her own territory, they annihilated her main base of operation, together with almost all her forces, while being outnumbered 1:100 at the very least. Not to mention that various sources claimed her being dead after this confrontation.

A legendary feat that led to Jackson being mentioned in one breath together with pirate king Gol D. Roger and the world's strongest man Edward Newgate. For weeks to come, Scallywags and old Seadogs alike would whisper his name with reverence, and every time they discussed who could rise to this era's peak, Portgas D. Jackson and his 10 loyal Scourges of the seas would be mentioned.

Needless to say, wherever is smoke, nearby should be fire and like a wildfire would, rumors spread alongside actual news. There were as many 'positive' rumors as there were 'negative' ones but long story short, all that sailors could talk about was this incident.

Somewhere in Whitebeard's territory.

"Gurarararara!"

Edward Newgate, also known as Whitebeard, Roger's rival, world's strongest man etc, was peacefully enjoying Morgan's latest masterpiece, of which he was sure could give Sengoku a stroke, if it didn't happen already.

"Someone so young already got this kind of battle power… Pops do you think he could beat you?"

Marco, 1st division commander, asked even though he wasn't really concerned about whether Jackson is a threat to them. Nobody really was. After all everybody knew that he is Ace's brother.

"Stinky brat, only I could ever win against myself."

Whitebeard answered with a wide grin before emptying his wine and going all 'gurarararara'. Behind his throne like seat, was Ace, quietly sitting on the ground while marveling at the new bounties his brother and his friends received.

"What an insanely high bounty. At this rate he'll surpass old man's head's worth before I surpass his!"

Funnily enough, Ace wasn't the only one marveling at their new bounties.

"What an insanely high bounty. I want one as well!"

"No, you don't"

In Dadan's den of mountain bandits, Luffy and the others, were admiring his brother's latest conquest and as usual Luffy said something for which Dadan rebuked him. Today, Makino came by, bringing along some alcohol and food for everyone to cheer to Jackson's safety, which they did. Meeting and drinking became a small habit of theirs whenever newspaper mentioned Ace, Jackson or Sabo.

But of course, not everyone rejoiced from reading about a family member in this context. Kuina's father, is someone like that. It's been around 7 years since he last saw his daughter face to face, while constantly worrying about her safety.

Though he knew that as long as Jackson and Sabo were there, no one could hurt his little girl, his mind was still plagued by useless worries like whether she eats and drinks enough, does she have enough money and strength, is she perhaps cold or sick and most importantly, is she happier after leaving.

The last one always sends a shiver of pain and regret through his heart since something told him it was his fault. Too bad there was no medicine for regret.

Navy HQ, Garp's office

Navy hero and Vice-Admiral Monkey D. Garp was peacefully sitting in his office and about to enjoy a bag of good rice crackers when suddenly-

*BOOOM!!!*

His door got broken down before-

"GARP!!! It's your family again! Beating Big Mom is one thing but how and why is Morgan spreading dangerous information faster than we can react, every time your family is involved?! Are you cursed or something?"

"Well to me, it sounds more like you are the cursed one here.

A sharp pain bit Sengoku in his neck area, followed by dizziness. Lucky for him, he was already familiar with these symptoms and knew that shouting at Garp usually helps. Fleet Admiral Sengoku's voice echoed through the whole base afterwards.

"Guess I won't get any of that good tea today…"

And Garp's only concern were his snacks.

(AN: Hey, this is the first new rewritten chap. Many of you wondered which character would be chosen for the next template but I decided against it. Instead of giving him even more abilities and what not and make him undefeatable across the universe I decided to go with enhancing to a certain degree what he already's got. Some might not like it, but I think this is for the best before he starts shooting fire fists or Kamehamehas and whatnow. Have a good evening, everybody!)
