2 Ch 2 : Kamui Kamui no Mi

When Rain realized what ability he had just gotten from the devil fruit, he couldn't help but be very enthusiastic.

The information about the ability had been transferred to his mind, and now was the time to try it.

Rain shifted his gaze toward one of the small stones near him as he raised his hand forward:

"Kamui!!!!"

*Swoosh!*

All of a sudden, a spiraling void appeared and sucked the small stone to another dimension.

"Nice, it is easier to use than I thought!"

Seeing that his first attempt was successful, Rain felt elated.

The ability he got from the devil fruit was the Kamui ability from Naruto, one that made him able to transfer himself or another object near him to another dimension.

The fruit itself was named kamui-kamui-no-mi, one that had never appeared in One Piece world before. But since it was from the system, anything is possible, Rain thought.

Rain then proceeded to try Kamui on the bigger stone.

He wanted to test the current limit of his Kamui, and for that, he needed to do it step by step.

Rain was now lying motionless in the ground.

The trial of his Kamui-Kamui-no-mi was successful, but just after the last attempt of transferring himself to Kamui Dimension like Obito's signature move. Rain suddenly felt all his stamina had been emptied.

Yup, because there was no chakra here, the consumption of Kamui-Kamui-no-Mi was redirected to physical fitness instead.

And based on Rain's current physique, he was only able to partially transport his body to another world.

"*Sigh*, I'm still far from being a true powerhouse.."

Nonetheless, getting Kamui-Kamui-no-Mi had greatly relieved Rain's heart.

One Piece world was one of the most dangerous worlds out there, and with Kamui-Kamui-No-Mi, Rain now had a hope to protect himself.

Rain then waited for the night to come before he would try and walk to the nearest city.

The afternoon in the Alabasta's desert was just way too hot, and Rain would only dehydrate himself if he was trying to cross it without any water on his hand.

Fast forward, a few hours had passed, and now the sun had set.

The scorching desert had now been replaced by the cold wind, and for Rain, who was in a T-shirt and short pants, it was freezing cold here.

However, it was a lot better than the scorching hot in the afternoon.

Rain stood up, and step by step, he began to cross the desert.

He didn't know where was the nearest town, nor the system had given him any direction. Therefore, he could only believe his instinct and hoped that it would not be that far until he reached the next town.

Along the way, a lot of thought crossed Rain's mind.

Since he had crossed into the One Piece world, then say that in his world, their whole future is already written and drawn?

The thought that all his life has been controlled by others shuddered Rain's mind.

He was a modern world man who believed that his own fate was controlled only by himself.

So when he thought that all his life would just be Oda's plaything, a rejection began to appear on his mind.

Slowly, shackles that bound Rain to this world slowly loosened, and all of a sudden, the system notification that should have been gone away appeared once again.

[ DING!!! It was signified that the host had begun to walk the road to defy the will of the world. A special reward will be issued after the host finds your first companion!]

This sudden appearance of notification startled Rain. Still, he decided to put it on the back of his head for now.

Since it needed him to find a companion, the reward was pretty much useless for the current him. And even if he could find any random companion, Rain didn't want to do it.

He didn't want to recruit any cannon fodder as a companion just because of the reward, and because of that,, this matter could only be postponed first.

After walking for a bit, Rain finally saw a small town.

Rain observed the surroundings and saw a few people moving cargoes here and there.

It was a coastal port town set in hills. Like the rest of Arabasta, this town also has an arid desert climate, but it has some grass and dead trees in it. The buildings are all rectangular with small windows, and many have tall towers attached to them.

Just in one look, it was clear that this town was not Alubarna, Nanohana or Rainbase, three big cities in Alabasta.

However, Rain somehow got the feeling that this town was not an unfamiliar one.

Rain continued walking across the town while trying his best to remember where he saw this town in his memories.

But maybe because he was too focused on trying to remember, Rain failed to notice that a person was walking right in his direction.

*Bump!!*

"Ouch, please look where you are walking!"

"Ahh.. sorry.."

The bump happened, and the other party was rebuking Rain. But maybe because she saw the strange clothing that Rain wore, she immediately changed her focus.
