96 Reunion Of Two Soulmates

"What are you gonna do? Capture me? Wahahahahaha!!!! I've grown a lot since I left Loguetown! Want me to show you? " Ace asked as her hands were slowly being clad with a black coating, signifying that she was using

Armament Haki.

Suddenly, Ace chuckled and shook her head. She stopped using Armament Haki and the black coating disappeared.

"On second thought, I don't want to waste my time fighting you. I want to spend time with someone else. That's worth it, right Luffy?" Ace looked at Luffy who was munching on some rice at superhuman speeds.

Luffy grinned at her. "Hell yeah!" Luffy replied and continued eating. The customers were trembling in fear.

There were two big names in the restaurant. 'Fire Fist' Ace who is the daughter of Gol D Roger, and Mugiwara no Luffy, who is the son of Monkey D Dragon.

"Dine and dash?" Ace smirked at Luffy who smirked back. Luffy finished his glass of water and sighed, feeling satisfied from the hearty meal.

"Dine and dash." Luffy replied. Ace grinned and grabbed her naginata and her bag. She looked at Smoker who widened his eyes and prepared to fight.

Suddenly, Ace appeared in front of him with her left arm clad in black coating. She clotheslined the Marine.

*BAAM!!!*

Smoker spat out blood as he crashed onto the floor of the restaurant, breaking it.

Luffy and Ace laughed as they dashed out of Spice Bean together. Yoshimoto and his restaurant's customers could only watch in awe.

They ran around Nanohana, the port town they were in. The two then had a bunch of marines, Tashigi and Smoker chasing them.

Nami watched on in shock as she saw Luffy running from the Marines with another woman which was Ace. When she realized who that woman beside Luffy was, she almost fainted.

"Fire Fist Ace..... Heh, never thought we'd meet her here out of all places. I was expecting to meet her in the New World." Zoro whispered with a small smirk on his face.

Luffy looked at Nami who was smiling at him. Time seemed to stop around him as he looked at the outfit she was dressed in.

Nami was dressed in a dancer-like outfit.

This outfit consisted of a blue and purple halter top with a pink shroud and a long white skirt with the top part blue, she wore a long-sleeved white shirt with a brown skirt to match all of these with her normal high heels.

Luffy looked at the outfit Vivi was wearing. She is wearing a dancer outfit with a green and yellow top and long skirt and a light blue scarf to make it perfect.

Nojiko and Kaya were also wearing pretty revealing dancer outfits. He saw Usopp complimenting the hell out of her and Kaya blushing up a storm.

Luffy widened his eyes as they suddenly turned bright red. He had an intuitive feeling telling him what the Marines behind him were intending to do. It was like a pseudo-form of precognition.

Luffy immediately jumped away, trusting his intuition. It proved to be the right move as seconds later bullets flew past the place where he was originally at.

Ace grinned at what Luffy just did. Luffy ran beside her again. "You just used one of the techniques of Observation Haki, Luffy. I didn't know you can use Haki now. " Ace pointed out as she and Luffy used Soru to get fat away from the Marines chasing them.

" That was my first time using it actually. " Luffy revealed, surprising her.

Ace then stopped and turned around to face the horde of Marines who were respectively carrying muskets and sabers.

"You can use Haki right?" Luffy asked Ace who nodded back.

"I can use all Three. I'm pretty good at them actually. So good that I can do this. " Ace looked at the Marines who got on guard seeing her hard gaze.

Ace's eyes suddenly glowed bright red as there was a sudden overbearing pressure that washed over them.

The Marines dropped their weapons and started falling unconscious and foamed at the mouth.

Tashigi was knocked out while Smoker was kneeling on the ground while coughing violently. He became extremely light-headed as the seconds passed by.

Luffy wasn't affected by Ace's sudden blast of Conqueror's Haki. He felt it but he wasn't intimidated or anything, instead he was very impressed.

Smoker's will gave in and he fell unconscious, his cigars still in his mouth. Ace gave Luffy a thumbs up to which Luffy grinned and gave it back.

Luffy and Ace started running back to the Going Merry. "Hey Ace, can you give me some tips on how to use Armament Haki?" Luffy asked Ace as they ran past civilians and jumped over obstacles.

"Just let your Haki flow out of you like it's water—oh wait, that's for an advanced Armament Haki technique called Emission. " Ace grumbled, making Luffy laugh.

" It's like an inner flow thing. Let your spiritual energy flow towards your desired body part to harden it or emit your Haki from it. I learned it from someone from a country called Wano. " Ace explained. Luffy hummed, even though it was just some sentences, it helped Luffy a lot coming from an experienced Haki user.

"Thanks Ace, I'll be a pro in it soon! Just watch me!" Luffy grinned confidently at her. Ace smiled warmly.

She missed his joyful personality a lot. It's like he was born to make others smile and laugh. His rubber abilities contributed to his goofiness a lot too.

They arrived back at the Going Merry where Luffy's crew was loading up the supplies they bought in Nanohana.

All eyes were immediately on Ace. Ace grinned and waved at them. "Hey there, I'm Ace! Nice to meet you all! How good is Luffy at being a pirate captain?" Ace asked them. They all smiled at her. They then took turns and whispered into Ace's ear, smiling while doing so. Ace laughed.

"Wahahahahaha!!!! Did he now? Well, that's Luffy for you. Does he eat everything and leave you guys to starve?" Ace asked. Nojiko went up and whispered into Ace's ear. Ace had a shocked expression and glared at Luffy.

"Luffy! You shouldn't starve yourself just to let them eat more! Nojiko— That's your name right? Oh, okay. She will be sad, and you don't want to make girls sad do you? " Ace asked Luffy. Luffy shook his head repeatedly.

" Good. Nojiko wants you to eat as much as you like. No one is stopping you, it's very important to have a full stomach ir else you won't have energy to—Zzzzzzzz..... " Ace suddenly fell asleep mid sentence.

" AHHHH!!!! SHE'S DEAD!!!!!! " The Straw Hat Pirates except for Luffy screamed in horror. Luffy laughed.

" Shishishishishi!!!! Relax guys! Ace has narcolepsy. She's not dead, she's just sleeping." Luffy revealed to his crew, making them sigh in relief. Luffy carried Ace bridal style and they boarded the Going Merry.

Ace woke up and rubbed her eyes. She looked at Luffy and smiled at him. "What was I talking about? Ah, right. Eat Luffy. You're still growing." Ace advised, Luffy nodded, taking it to heart.

"So that tattoo on your back, you're really a part of the Whitebeard Pirates?" Usopp asked her. Ace nodded.

"It's my pride and joy. Whitebeard is the greatest pirate I've ever known aside from my father. I want to make him Pirate King, not you Luffy! " Ace grinned mischievously at Luffy.

" Meh, it's alright. I'll just fight him!" Luffy gave her a thumbs up, making Ace laugh.

"Wahahahahaha!!! That's expected! He's not going to be easy though! He was the rival of the Pirate King for a reason. Here! Take this!" Ace threw him something. Luffy looked at it and saw that it was just an ordinary piece of paper.

But Luffy knew better than that. 'Gramps gave it to me before. It's a Vivre Card. ' Luffy thought.

A Vivre Card is a piece of paper made from a person's fingernail clipping. At first glance, it is indistinguishable from ordinary paper.

However, it is completely waterproof and fireproof, though it can be torn. The pieces can then be given to a friend whom one would be separated from.

The torn pieces will point to and move towards each other no matter where they are in the world, allowing one to always be able to tell which direction the other person is in.

However, it does not tell the distance or about any obstacles that might be in the way. True to the name 'paper of life', the life force of the owner, the person whose fingernail the Vivre Card was made from, is reflected on the paper.

If the life force of the owner is weakening, the card will begin to burn away. It will grow back to its original size if the person recovers, but will disintegrate completely if they die.

"Always keep that with you. That paper will let us meet again." Ace advised and grinned at Luffy's crew.

"Take care of him for me, alright?" Ace requested. The Straw Hat Pirates except for Luffy nodded back.

"I can't stay here for long, Luffy. I'm chasing a wanted criminal who's been calling himself Blackbeard lately. He was my subordinate and he committed the worst crime possible on a pirate ship, crew mate killing." Ace looked at Luffy seriously.

" I'm the commander, so I have to finish him off. If it wasn't for that, I wouldn't be back at Paradise. We will meet again! And also.... " Ace blushed before cupping Luffy's face.

" Chu~!"

They kissed, the crew looked on in shock. Nami clenched her fists in jealousy. Nojiko was having the same emotions as Nami was having too.

They didn't know what the feeling(jealousy) was, but it made them mad. They had the sudden urge to strangle Ace on the spot. In the end, Nojiko just pouted, she'll get her time with Luffy one day.

Ace released the kiss and smiled warmly at Luffy. She waved at him before jumping down onto her ship, which was a raft.

It is called Striker and it is a waterproof, one-man, yellow raft shaped like a half crescent. It has an engine in the back, two paddle-wheels on the sides, and a small sail in the back.

Everything is linked to the main seat in the middle of the raft. In the manga, it has a black sail, while it is white in the anime.

The Whitebeard Pirates' Jolly Roger is painted on its sail and flag. Striker is powered by Ace's Mera Mera no Mi powers from the front seat that is linked to the engines on the sides and back of the craft.

Luffy waved to Ace who waved back before starting to sail away. Luffy sighed and looked on as Ace started sailing away, wondering when they would meet again.

Luffy looked at Nami and took off his straw hat. He gave the hat and the Vivre Card to her.

"Nami, sew it tight in there."

"Behind the ribbon?"

"Yup! Thanks!"

"Fufufu.... You're welcome Luffy."
