167 Potential Allies and Rivals

"What do we do, captain? We don't have enough money to pay for your meals!" One of Bonney's subordinates revealed.

"Oh come on! The solution's fucking easy! We'll just dine and dash! " Bonney replied loudly, making her crew palm their own faces. Bonney doesn't know how to be subtle sometimes.

"Don't worry, I'll pay for the meal to save you the trouble of dining and dashing. "

Everyone including Bonney looked at Luffy who approached their table. Even Bonney stopped eating and took a good look at Luffy.

"Hey, I'm Monkey D. Luffy. And one day I'll be the Pirate King." Luffy declared with a grin on his face.

" You're Boogey, right? " Luffy asked her, angering Bonney because he got her name wrong.

" It's Bonney you moron! " She shouted aggressively, making Luffy laugh loudly.

"Hahahahaha!!! I'm sorry, Bonney!" Luffy apologized, making Bonney huff angrily and continue eating.

"Say Bonney, you wanna have an eating competition? "

That suggestion gathered Bonney's full attention towards Luffy again.

" Ha! I win!" Luffy declared happily with a mountain of plates surrounding him and Bonney. Bonney slammed the table angrily.

"Damnit! It's all because I accepted that glass of juice from you halfway!" Bonney shouted angrily. Luffy patted her back.

"It's alright, Bonney. I've had fun, did you?" Luffy asked her while cleaning his mouth with a napkin. Bonney sighed.

" Maybe I did, that doesn't make you and me friends though! We're pirates! We don't just go around and make friends with each other like it's a playdate or something!" Bonney reminded him. She then grinned at him.

" You said you're gonna be the Pirate King?! Ha! You'll get taken down by the World Government before you even try! I guess I'll have to take that empty spot and become the Pirate Queen instead of—What the fuck are you doing, dumbass?! " Bonney shouted at Luffy.

" I'm obviously cleaning your face." Luffy replied with a small smile on his face while he was wiping Bonney's face which was stained with sauce and bits of food with the same napkin he wiped his own mouth with.

"O-oi! Isn't this the napkin you used just now!?" Bonney asked him while she had a small blush on her face.

"Yeah? So what?" Luffy asked back with a smile on his face. Bonney gritted her teeth.

'Bastard has no shame at all! He knows what he's doing, giving me an indirect kiss!' Bonney shouted in her mind as Luffy finished cleaning her.

" Here's my Den Den Mushi number, Bonney. You ever need some help with something, I'm only one call away. " Luffy grinned at her before handing her a piece of paper that had his Den Den Mushi number in it into her hands.

Bonney looked at him with a shocked expression as Luffy got up and left. "Ridiculous! A pirate going around helping people?! Whoever heard of a thing like that!?" Bonney muttered angrily while clenching the small piece of paper tightly.

Luffy looked at Bege and tipped his straw hat at him while Bege did the same thing, expressing simple salutations towards each other. He grinned broadly at the captain of the Fire Tank Pirates before he walked back to his table and sat down with his crew.

They all then heard sounds of plates breaking. They all looked to see a waiter on the ground apologizing profusely to a subordinate pirate.

"Bastard! You got spaghetti all over my clothes!" The pirate shouted at the waiter for apologized even faster than before. A hand stopped the pirate from lashing out at the waiter.

"Stop it. That was the fate of your clothes." A man muttered while the waiter got up and ran away.

He is Basil 'Magician' Hawkins, a pirate from North Blue and the captain of the Hawkins Pirates. His bounty amounted to 249,000,000 Belly.

Hawkins is a tall man, with black triangle symbols on his eyebrows, red eyes, and golden hair that reaches down to his hips. He also has a black cross tattooed at the base of his throat that is at the front of his neck.

His attire includes a pure white coat with a ruffled neckline and sleeves. He also wears purple trousers tucked inside black boots with white laces on them and a dark ornament made of fur circling the lower part of his torso, with a lighter shade in the middle of it.

He also has a pink sash tied around his waist, with a piece of jewelry hanging from it. Hawkins also wears dark gloves similar to those worn by Blueno of CP9. He also wears an armor-like armlet that can be seen on his left arm around his left biceps, which also extends to cover his left shoulder.

On his right hip he carries a sword with an elaborate pommel that resembles a voodoo doll.

He ate the Wara Wara no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to create and manipulate straw at will, with the straw having damage-redirecting properties.

Hawkins hummed curiously as Luffy got out of his seat and approached him and his crew. Luffy stopped in front of his subordinate who had his clothes ruined.

"Here, dude. Get yourself some fresh clothes." Luffy grinned as he handed Hawkins' subordinates some Belly.

"Th-thank—

" No need. I'm just doing what's right. " Luffy replied with a kind smile. He looked at Hawkins and grinned at him.

" Hey, you look the kind of guy who does fortune telling with tarot cards. Do you do that?" Luffy asked him. Hawkins raised an eyebrow at him.

"How do you know? Can you see the future?" Hawkins asked him. Luffy laughed and shook his head.

" Not yet! But one day I might! " Luffy answered seriously while having a confident grin on his face. Hawkins didn't know whether he was serious or not.

"Can you do some fortune telling? I'll pay." Luffy asked while pointing at himself.

"No need. It'll only take a second." Hawkins replied and summoned thin straw threads out of nowhere. The thin straw threads kept his tarot cards at eye level.

He grabbed a card and looked at it. He blinked narrowed his eyes at it. "Mugiwara no Luffy, I see the brightness of joy upon your future. " He explained vaguely. Luffy yawned shamelessly.

" So boring! You're a fraud! See ya later!" Luffy waved at him before walking away. The emotionless Hawkins looked at Luffy while exhibiting visible shock on his face.

*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!!!!!*

They then heard a loud explosion coming from outside the restaurant. Luffy, Hawkins, Bonney, Bege and their respective crew rushed outside to see what was going on.

Luffy saw two people facing each other.

"If you want to fight! Let's wait until we get to the other side of the Red Line! Don't you know how strong we are? " The first man shouted while facing the other.

He is Scratchmen Apoo, also known as 'Roar of the Sea'. He is the captain of the On Air Pirates. He is a member of the Longarm Tribe and has a bounty of 198,000,000 Belly.

The person he was facing laughed crazily. "If that's so, stop staring at me you disgusting bastard. Fine, we'll stop here." The person muttered. He is Eustass 'Captain' Kid. He is a notorious pirate from South Blue and the captain of the Kid Pirates.

Kid has a bounty of 315,000,000 Belly, largely due to a high number of civilian casualties caused by him and his crew.

He ate the Jiki Jiki no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit which allows him to create magnetic forces and use them to control metal.

Kid is a tall, muscular man with light skin and bright red hair, resembling flames. His nose has a particular shape, being quite pointed and having little protrusions on both sides. He has dark reddish, purple-colored lips and fingernails, red/orange eyes and no eyebrows.

He dresses in an extravagant attire consisting of black and yellow lizard-print pants with a red fringe, motorcycle boots, and a blue sash under a green belt fastened by a large circular buckle with a four-leaf clover-like pattern in the middle.

He also has a slim bandolier, also with minuscule bolts that go diagonally over his right shoulder then ties to his waist, where he keeps a dagger with a Japanese-style hilt and what appears to be a flintlock gun. He also has gold bangles around both wrists.

He wears a pair of studded, square shaped goggles on his forehead, and a large fur captain's coat over his bare muscular torso. The dark brown coat is adorned with spikes on its shoulders lined in maroon. The collar of the coat is extremely flared and wide.

He typically wears this coat with his right arm in its sleeve and his left arm under the coat itself.

They both stared at each other but it was disrupted by someone shouting. "The monk's gone mad!!!"

The pirates all looked at two more pirates fighting each other. One is named Urouge, nicknamed the Mad Monk. He is a pirate hailing from a sky island, the captain of the Fallen Monk Pirates and had a bounty of 108,000,000 Belly.

Urouge is abundant in both height and width. His face somewhat resembles a smiling totem mask as he is nearly always seen grinning, even when he is unhappy.

Apart from his smile, he also has what appears to be a stitched-up scar vertically descending over, and falling short just above his left eye.

On his chin he has a prominent, jet-black, and scruffy beard that extends upwards to the sides of his jaw and then converges with his equally-dark side-burns.

He seems to sport the short and clean-cut sort of hairstyle generally sported by monks. He also has black tattoos going down his shoulders that somewhat resemble fire.

He dresses in similar robes to Divine Soldiers underneath the khaki robes he wears (which is also worn by the rest of his crew), which includes the white full-bodied garment with severed sleeves, that exposes tattoos patterned like flames on both biceps.

He wears a pair of gold earrings, black gloves and a rather large red bead necklace. He also has a pair of large wings growing out from the middle of his back.

Urouge's choice of weapon appears to be a large piece of a pillar with a hexagonal base which he uses as a makeshift mace to pummel opponents.

The other was 'Massacre Soldier' Killer. He is a pirate from the South Blue and a combatant of the Kid Pirates. He has a bounty amounting to 162,000,000 Belly.

Killer is a tall, muscular man. He has long wild blonde hair that reaches down to his thighs. He wears a plain, white and light-blue striped full-head helmet with many rows of holes in it, and what look like modern headphones on both sides.

He also wears a black shirt with white polka-dots and an open collar that shows his chest, with blue riding chaps over his pants. Additionally, Killer has a red sash around his waist.

He carries a pair of handguards which have very long detachable scythes connected to them. When not fighting, these scythes are placed in a large sheath tied to his right hip.

Urouge and Killer rushed towards each other while swinging their respective weapons at each other.

But someone jumped in and blocked their weapons before they could clash. Urouge and Killer looked at the person who interfered.

"Save it for the New World!" The person shouted. He is 'Red Flag' X. Drake (read as "Diez Drake") and he is the captain of the Drake Pirates by publicly defecting from his position as rear admiral and founding it. Now he has a bounty of 222,000,000 Belly.

Drake is a tall, lean, and muscular man who wears what appears to be a combination of a white-plumed cocked hat with his crew's Jolly Roger on the side and a domino mask over his eyes. Underneath this headgear, Drake's hair is reddish brown, with brush-like sideburns. On his broad chin he has an 'X'(not confirmed to be either a scar or tattoo) and on his chest and upper body he also has another large X. The X's as well as that in his name, represents the Roman Numeral X for 10, not the English letter.

When seen from above, his bicorne greatly resembles the head of a Pterodactyl.

He wears armor on his relatively thin legs and arms consisting of knee-high boots and gloves that go up past his elbows, respectively.

The openings to both the gloves and the boots are also secured by the armor, which is rounded for the gloves and a sharp maple leaf pattern for the boots at the front of his knees.

On the rest of his body, he wears leather pants and a leather shirt. A belt with a large ornately designed circular belt buckle secures Drake's pants as well as his sword and axe to his waist.

He also wears a black cape, which, from the inside, is crimson-colored, with a white fur lining around the neck.

Urouge grinned at Drake. "The former Rear Admiral, Drake. Haha. That was a narrow escape from death." Urouge commented as Drake started walking away.

Luffy was grinning broadly at them. "So these are the people trying to become the King/Queen of the Pirates and find the One Piece." Luffy commented.

" Mugiwara-ya. How many people did you kill? "

Luffy turned around to look at the person who asked him that question. The person is Trafalgar D. Water Law, more commonly known as just Trafalgar Law and by his epithet as the 'Surgeon of Death'. He is a pirate from North Blue and the captain and doctor of the Heart Pirates.

Law is a slim young man of a relatively tall height. He has faint shadows right under his yellow eyes and his face is usually seen with a smirk.

He has many tribal-style tattoos on his arms; on both of his hands are letters spelled as D E A T H tattooed in black on each of the backs of his fingers.

He also has a black cross on the back of both of his hands. On his chest, he has a tribal-style heart tattoo with his Jolly Roger on it. He has a simpler heart tattoo on his shoulders and his Jolly Roger tattooed on his back

He wears a northern-style fur hat, which is white and has a spotted pattern along the bottom and the bill. He has short dark hair, a majority of which is obscured by his hat, save for his sideburns and a small goatee.

He is seen wearing a yellow hoodie, with black sleeves and black hood. The hoodie has his Jolly Roger printed on the front of the chest area in dark ink, and he keeps the sleeves rolled up.

Law wears a northern-style fur hat that has a rim running all around it. It is white in color and has a black dot pattern along the rim and lower areas of the hat.

Law also sports a pair of jeans with odd dots on both the knee and ankle areas, similar to the ones on his hat, but darker in color. He sports a pair of dark, pointed shoes. He has a pair of small earrings on each ear.

Luffy smirked at Law.

"More than everyone's fingers and toes here."
