Pirates

Today was a calm morning in Foosha Village, the sun was shining, the birds were chirping, the villagers of the peaceful port town were going through their daily lives like usual.

Until someone shouted this.

"PIRATES!!!! PIRATES!!!!!! WE'RE GONNA DIE!!!!"

It was a middle aged man running around the village yelling this. Luffy who was eating his breakfast in Partys Bar narrowed his eyes, hearing the man's cries.

He quickly swallowed the food in his mouth and dashed outside of the bar. Luffy dashed towards the dock at full speed while putting his left hand on his cutlass' scabbard.

If this was true and the pirates were trying to pillage his home, he would gladly lay his life down defending it.

He arrived at the dock and looked at the giant ship in front of him. It appears to be a standard pirate ship with no noteworthy features.

Luffy looked at the Jolly Roger of the pirate ship. The Jolly Roger has a realistic looking skull with a pair of crossed sabres behind it. It has two red stripes with black outlines that cross diagonally across the skull's left eye socket.

Luffy widened his eyes a little, he knew who they were. They were the Red Hair Pirates, led by Red-Haired Shanks, an infamous pirate that was once a part of Gold Roger's crew as an apprentice. Luffy knew that Shanks was a part of the Roger Pirates because Garp knew it.

Luffy also knew that Shanks had a bounty that is worth up to a large amount of Belly. Belly is the world's main monetary unit. But he didn't know the specific amount because he hadn't memorized it.

Luffy heard people talking merrily from the pirate ship.

"What a lovely place, there's nothing." He heard a little girl say.

" Foosha Village is a remote area in the Goa Kingdom." Luffy heard a man reply. He looked up to see a little girl walking on the edge of the ship without showing any signs of falling.

She was a girl with long hair that is white on her left side and red on her right; the colors are perfectly separated at the middle of her scalp.

Her hair is arranged into two long ponytails with two circular braids at the end; these circular braids are also seen at the top of her head. Her left eye is shrouded by her white hair and her left eye is shown to be bright purple.

She wore an orange colored dress, with a ribbon around her neck. She also wore a long sleeved light green colored shirt underneath the dress. Additionally, she wears a set of light blue cone-shaped headphones with light-blue bands over her ears.

Luffy looked at her while she stared back down at him.

"What?" The girl whispered as she stared down at Luffy who was looking at her seriously.

"Are you guys pirates?" Luffy asked with a no nonsense tone. The girl smiled.

" Yes, we are. Do you have a problem with it?" She asked with narrowed eyes and a smirk on her face. She then sat down on the edge of the ship.

"If so, you can tell me. I'm Captain Shanks' daughter, Uta. " Uta introduced herself. Luffy narrowed his eyes and unsheathed his cutlass. He pointed it at her.

" I'm not here for you, Uta. I'm here to see Red Haired Shanks! " Luffy declared seriously. Uta tilted her head.

" Or what? Are you gonna fight us?" She asked. Luffy narrowed his eyes.

"Do you not see this cutlass I'm holding or something? Tell Shanks to come out here, I want to know if he wants to invade my home or not." Luffy replied.

" Stop it, Uta. We're not here to fight." Luffy saw someone else walking to the edge of the ship.

He has distinct red hair. His hairstyle was a straight, middle-parted one kept loosely down to nape length, with shorter (at eye level), curtained bangs in the front.

On his face resides a secondary trademark: a triple set of parallel, linear scars that pass vertically, at an angle over his left (untouched) eye.

He had a youthful face and a soft jawline tapering down to a small, pointy chin. He kept his facial hair in a neatly thin connection of beard and mustache stubble, forming the beginnings of a circle beard.

Clothes wise, he wore a straw hat on his head. He also wore a simple, white shirt half-buttoned up, exposing the middle of his chest and upper abs.

He was wearing a slightly loose, plain brown pair or pants with golden buttons down the outer leg sides, and with a red sash around his waist to keep his shirt tucked inside. His pants were cut below the knee, collected halfway up the shin.

Luffy widened his eyes a little. 'That is definitely Shanks. The red hair and the scar is proof.' He thought in his mind.

"I didn't know there was a tough sheriff in this village." Shanks commented and smiled down at Luffy.

"Are you Red Haired Shanks?" Luffy asked.

"What gave it away? Dahaha... Yes, I'm Shanks, the captain of this ship." Shanks grinned at him. Luffy pointed the cutlass at him.

" If you make trouble for us, I'll make you pay for it. " Luffy declared.

" Hmm! " Uta huffed and looked away. Shanks just smiled warmly at Luffy.

"So what are you guys doing here?" Luffy asked Shanks as they were sitting side by side on the barstool.

Currently, Shanks and his crew were settling down in Partys Bar and partying in it. No one dared to come in here, they feared that one small step would anger them.

"Oh nothing, just relaxing for a while before setting sail again." Shanks replied before saying thank you to Makino who handed him a mug of beer.

"Who's your vice captain? Every captain must have a vice captain right?" Luffy asked him with an excited tone. Shanks chuckled and pointed at a man who was playing cards with some people.

"He's Benn Beckman, my first mate." Shanks introduced him.

Benn is a tall man, standing at a height of 206cm. His hair was long, light brown (black in the anime) and pulled back in a ponytail. He is never seen without his rifle nearby or a cigarette in his mouth.

He now wears a black, v-neck shirt with three quarter sleeves along with loose pants with numerous pockets on them, tucked inside his buckled boots.

Like most of the other Red Hair Pirates, he wears a sash around his waist, to which he attaches his rifle in a pistol-like fashion. The only thing added to his attire is his spiral-patterned cloak.

Benn looked at Luffy and smirked at him. He made a finger pistol. "Bang." He fired it at him. Luffy grinned back at him. Benn chuckled and went back to playing cards.

"One thing about him is he is a playboy and loves women. I mean who doesn't, right guys?! " Shanks asked his crew who grinned back at him.

" Right!!!"

Shanks laughed and looked back at Luffy who was in awe. "What do you think, cool right?" Shanks asked. Luffy nodded.

" One day I'm gonna have a crew exactly like this! " Luffy looked at Shanks' crew. Shanks raised an eyebrow.

" Oh really now? You wanna be a pirate too? " He asked. Luffy grinned broadly and nodded.

"Yeah! But I don't wanna be just any normal pirate! I wanna be the Pirate King and find the One Piece!!!" Luffy declared. Everyone was surprised at his bold declaration. Shanks was surprised too. But then he started laughing at him.

"DAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!"
