Nailed It

"Hey." Luffy greeted the still tied up Zoro while approaching him. Zoro looked at him.

"You again. If this is about me joining your crew, my answer is still no. " Zoro replied to his greeting.

" My name's Monkey D Luffy. Call me Luffy. I'll untie you if you join my crew right now. " Luffy offered. Zoro growled

" As if ya bastard! I got my own plans and it doesn't involve me becoming a pirate! " He replied angrily.

" Your plans won't take off if you stay here and get executed by Helmeppo in three days. " Luffy replied seriously. Zoro widened his eyes.

"What?"

"Yeah. He babbled about it while walking around the town. I gave him a good punch to the solar plexus. He's probably in the infirmary now, getting cared for by the doctors and nurses. " Luffy grinned while raising his right fist.

"And sorry Zoro, but I've made up my mind. You're joining my crew and that's final." Luffy turned around and walked away.

" This guy's so confident about everything. " Zoro whispered. Luffy looked back at him.

" I'm gonna go find your swords now. You better think about it while Koby over here unties you." Luffy pointed at Koby who climbed over the wall and ran towards the pole where Zoro was tied up.

"See ya soon!" Luffy shouted before walking away.

"Hey! Come back!!" Zoro shouted but Luffy ignored him. He sighed and watched as he walked towards the fortress.

"He's going straight to the fortress. That's either one dumb pirate or a very powerful one. "

" Huh. There's voices up there. " Luffy muttered while looking at the tall fortress in front of him. He stretched out his arm and grabbed the edge of the fortress's roof.

"Gomu Gomu no...." Luffy smirked.

"ROCKET!!!"

He retracted them, projecting himself high into the air at high speeds. He looked at a giant statue of someone that was being heaved up.

"Looks ugly. I'mma destroy it." Luffy smirked. He stretched his arms out to the statue that was made out of stone. His rubbery arms wrapped around the statue's stretched out arms.

"Gomu Gomu no....." He closed his feet together and grinned. He slingshot himself with his stretched arms and flew towards the statue.

"STAMP!!!!"

*BOOOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!*

Luffy used the bottom of his feet to stomp the statue. He shattered it into pieces and landed on the ground with a grin in his face.

He ignored the shocked looks of the Marines and looked at a notably tall, muscular man with tanned skin, blonde hair, a well-defined face, and a steel jaw etched with the word Möwe (German for 'seagull').

His right hand has been replaced with a huge steel axe, the handle of which is not only bolted through the bones of his forearm, but sticks out where his elbow should be.

Like most Marine officers, he wears a large, ornate overcoat. However, this coat notably lacks the usual 'Justice' insignia, and is completely sleeveless.

It is also worn conventionally, instead of being draped over the shoulders like a cape. His trousers bear a striped pattern.

This was 'Axe-Hand' Morgan. He is a Marine captain and the father of Helmeppo.

Luffy grinned at him and looked back at the statue which was a statue of Morgan himself. He then looked back at the captain and gave him the peace sign before running away.

"Catch him!!!" Morgan shouted his orders to his Marine subordinates. Luffy ran into the fortress through a door that was on the roof that he and the marines were on.

He ran into what seemed to be someone's private room and grinned as he saw three katanas lying against the wall.

Luffy grabbed them and started fighting the Marines that were getting in his way while he was heading towards the exit.

"What?! King Of The Pirates!? Does he even know what that means?" Zoro asked Koby who was untying him. Koby nodded.

"I was shocked when he first told me too. But he'll succeed or die trying, that's how he is!" Koby replied with a confident smile.

*BOOM!!!*

Koby gasped as a bullet suddenly shot through his shoulder. He then fell to the ground while his glasses fell off and laid beside him.

Zoro looked at where the bullet came from and stared at Captain Morgan with a stoic face expression.

Koby touched the wound on his shoulder and looked at his hand which was full of his blood.

"Aaaa!!! I've been shot!!! Bleeding!! I'm bleeding!! I'm gonna die!! " Koby panicked while looking at his hand. Zoro looked at him.

"Are you alright kid? Run for your life, they're almost here." Zoro advised him calmly. Koby shook his head.

"No! I've got to set you free as soon as possible! It's the mission Luffy-san gave me and I'm going to complete it!" Koby declared. He looked at Zoro while getting up slowly.

" I will not force you to become a pirate, however he's my savior! Luffy-san is very strong! As long as you join forces, you all will definitely be able to defeat Captain Morgan!!" He added.

Suddenly a line of marines pointed their muskets at them. Captain Morgan stood behind them.

"How interesting, the three of you are planning to cause political upheaval. Roronoa Zoro, I've heard of your name a long time ago, but do not underestimate me. Before my great strength, you're just garbage! " He declared.

"Ready!!! " Morgan shouted and the soldiers aimed their muskets at Koby and Zoro. Zoro gritted his teeth while looking at them with wide eyes.

'I can't die here! I still have things I need to settle!!! I made a promise!!! I cannot die here!!!' Zoro thought.

"FIRE!!!!*

*BAAANG!!!!*

After Morgan's order, the Marines all fired bullets at Zoro and Koby. Suddenly, Luffy appeared in front of them and took the bullets for them.

"It's no use!!!" Luffy declared. The bullets quickly bounced off him and flew back towards the Marines who all dove down to the ground to dodge them.

Zoro looked at him with a baffled expression. "What kind of human are you?!" He asked him. Luffy looked back at him and grinned.

" Hehe, I am the one who will become the Pirate King!!" Luffy declared before standing in front of him and holding up three swords.

" So which one is your treasured katana?"

"All three of them belong to me because I use the Three Sword Style. " Zoro replied.

" Resisting the navy here with me will make you an outlaw! Or do you wanna die here? " Luffy asked while looking at the line of marines. Zoro grinned at him.

"Are you the offspring of the devil? Forget it, rather than to die here, why don't I just accede to your request.... and become a Pirate!!! "

Luffy grinned at Zoro's declaration. He held his three swords in one hand and unsheathed his cutlass. In one swift motion, he cut off the ropes that were tying Zoro up.

"Welcome to the crew Zoro. Get ready, cause there's gonna be one hell of an adventure waiting for us. "
