56 Don Krieg

"Oh thank God I've met you today! Oh love, you can just laugh at me! " Sanji shouted as he approached Nami with hearts in her eyes.

'What's up with him? ' Luffy thought to himself while witnessing the scene.

The Straw Hat Pirates have boarded the Baratie and are now eating there. They teased Luffy a little bit, seeing him wearing an apron over his attire.

Everything was going well, Luffy was rapidly serving the customers the food that they ordered. Patty was nowhere to be found and the mess he had made was already cleaned up.

"He just treats them like they're the most precious thing in the world and feels like she needs to protect them from everything, even a strand of hair.

He treats men like shit though." Zeff grumbled while leaning against a chair. Luffy hummed.

"As long as you're with me, I can become a pirate or an evil being! Oh, but our poor destiny is so doomed! " Sanji continued while Nami was watching with an amused smile on her face. Zeff snorted.

"Is that because of me, Sanji?" Zeff asked him. Sanji became surprised and looked at Zeff.

"Old man!?"

"This is a good chance, Sanji. Just go and become a pirate. We don't want you anymore. " Zeff told her seriously. Sanji narrowed his eyes.

" Hey, crazy old bastard! I am the second chef of this restaurant. You said that the Baratie doesn't need me anymore, what do you mean by that?" Sanji asked him.

" You don't know what you're doing?" Zeff grumbled before looking back at him.

" You always fight with customers! And whenever you see women, you always give them special treatment! Your food tastes like my shit when I have diarrhea and you will drag this restaurant down to hell! Everyone in this restaurant doesn't like you and I think you know that." Zeff crossed his arms and looked into his black eyes.

"So you better get out of here become a pirate or whatever you wanna be. The best thing is you better get out of here as soon as possible! " Zeff declared. Sanji went up to him and grabbed his collar.

" You think I'm not angry with this, crazy bastard?! For whatever reason, you can't despise my food! Anyways, I still won't leave here even though you told me to!" Sanji argued.

Zeff suddenly grabbed his hand which was holding his collar and slammed her into the small round table where the Straw Hat Pirates were sitting.

"How dare you touch my collar!? Stupid little brat!" Zeff shouted angrily at Sanji who sat up and groaned. He glared at Zeff.

" I don't care how many times you tell me to lead, old man! I'll be a chef here forever!! Ya got a problem with that?! I will stay here until you die!" Sanji shouted at him. Zeff turned around and started walking away.

" I won't die for 100 years." Zeff replied. Sanji seethed.

" Watch your words.... " Sanji muttered angrily. Luffy approached him and held out his hand. Sanji grabbed it and was pulled up by him.

"Thanks..." He muttered while patting his suit. Luffy smiled at him.

"That's great ya know. You got permission from the owner. So you can become a pirate now, Sanji. " Luffy told her.

" Who wants to?! " Sanji glared at him. Luffy sighed.

" I've decided. I'll never leave the Baratie until you say yes to joining my crew. " Luffy whispered his decision to himself.

"Sorry for embarrassing you by the way. I never expected you to faint." Luffy apologized.

"Nah, it's fine. Anyways, your crew needs a new table."

" I am so sorry for the mess. As an apology, I've ordered you a fruit from Macedonia along with Gran Mane Wine. " Sanji apologized while pouring wine into Nami's and Kaya's wine glass. Nami smiled at Sanji while Kaya was happily eating the cut up fruit.

"You're very kind." She thanked him. Sanji held up a hand.

"That's okay ma'am." Sanji replied. Usopp wanted to say something to the gallant. He had enough of this unfair treatment. Luffy held him down.

"Don't do it Usopp. You don't want to fight with people like him, especially one who fights pirates every Tuesday." Luffy whispered to Usopp's ears.

Usopp gulped and nodded. Nami drank some wine and looked at Sanji who was standing by her side.

"By the way, Mr Chef. The food here is expensive for me and my friends. So could you.... "

Sanji smiled at her. " Don't worry, it's on the house." She muttered, Nami hugged her. Sanji suddenly had hearts in her eyes.

"I am so happy, thank you so much!"

"Aah..."

Zoro smirked as he was drinking some hot tea. "You're very tricky, Nami. " He commented as Sanji walked away while humming a happy tune.

Nami winked at Zoro. "You'd better be careful with me Zoro. Hihihi!!" She giggled. Suddenly, Sanji came back and dragged Luffy away by grabbing his hand.

" Oi! What's the big deal, Sanji! " Luffy shouted as he was being dragged away.

" When the customer comes in, you have to bring a hot towel to them, understand?"

" Hmph!" Luffy pouted.

One day later, Luffy doesn't need to work for the Baratie anymore, but he still stayed there because he was persistent about inviting Sanji to join his crew.

He and his crew except for Nami were dining in the restaurant talking with each other when suddenly, the customers started panicking.

"That's Don Krieg's Pirate ship!!" One of the customers shouted, gathering Luffy's and his crew's full attention. They looked outside of the window.

They saw an extremely worn out flagship approaching them. It is called the Dreadnaught Sabre.

The Dreadnaught Sabre was a very large galleon ship, almost triple the size of the ocean-going restaurant Baratie. It had the figurehead of a saber tooth tiger. The flagship was in a total wreck, to the point of being compared to a ghost ship.

Luffy looked at the Jolly Roger of the ship.

Krieg's flag is a standard Jolly Roger with two hourglasses to the sides, to show to their victims that their time is up. Krieg's skull is displayed with sideburns on its cheek bones.

"It looks like it's been through a natural disaster. It isn't the work of human beings that's for sure. " Sanji commented.

Suddenly, the front door to the Baratie opened. Luffy saw Gin supporting someone.

He was a large, muscular man, with purple-gray hair and distinct sideburns. His hair was clipped short, and a thick layer of gauze wrapped around his scalp. His attire features many fur-lined elements.

This was Don Krieg. He is the admiral of the Krieg Pirates and an infamous pirate of East Blue. Because of his underhanded methods and dominance over a fleet of 50 pirate ships, he is infamously known as Foul-Play Krieg and Pirate Fleet Admiral.

Krieg looked at the chefs who were looking at him with some fear and shock in their eyes.

"Excuse us!..... Could you give me some food and water?..... The money will not be a problem....." Krieg asked them. He then suddenly lost his footing and dropped to the ground.

" Captain Krieg! " Gin shouted in horror.

" Please give me some food..... " Krieg muttered weakly. Gin looked at them.

" Please help him or he'll die!" Gin pleaded to them. Patty, who had loads of bandages wrapped around him, wanted to say something. But he got kicked in the face by Sanji before he could.

" Get out of my way, Patty!" Sanji shouted as Patty was flying away. He handed Gin a plate full of food and a bottle.

"Give this food to him, Gin!"
