Chapter 37: The King of the Celestial Dragons

The night sky in this world is very strange. Through astronomical observations, scholars have determined that there are as many as eight satellites orbiting this blue planet. However, when darkness falls, only the moon shines brightest among the stars.

Doflamingo walked out of the Bondola, and a gust of cold night wind blew his pink flamingo coat.

But he found that there was not even a Holy Land garrison standing guard nearby, which made him laugh in a low voice while looking at the huge stairs leading to the upper level in front of him.

"Although so many years have passed, there is really no change here, but can power really be as immortal as these stone steps?"

"Let's go, the Lords are waiting for you."

"Come on, the Lords are waiting for you." The white-clothed CP0 member who went to the North Blue especially to invite Doflamingo urged at this time, then he walked past the former and took a step forward on the way to the huge stairs.

A few months later, two hundred kings from the participating countries will also pass through here, and then gather in the Round Table Council Room in Pangaea Castle to discuss and decide on major issues affecting the entire world.

At this moment, there are only the two of them, one behind the other.

Climbing to the top of the huge stairs, you will arrive at the real Mary Geoise. This place is called the 'Holy Land'. Even the ground under your feet is clean and tidy, as if every particle of gravel has been washed.

Doflamingo looked up and looked into the distance. Although it was night, the unknown number of lights of different types already illuminated the entire Mary Geoise as if it were daytime. Even the rows of trees and the river were shining with a faint golden light.

This is truly magnificent and brightly lit!

Seeing this scene, his body was trembling faintly, because he was trying to suppress the anger and desire in his heart. He was supposed to live here, high up, doing whatever he wanted, overlooking all the humans below.

Although it was only a few years ago, it has to be said that Doflamingo's happiest childhood was actually in this place.

Here, the waiters bowed their heads before him, the slaves knelt before him, he could eat endless delicacies in different ways every day, he had infinite wealth so he didn't have to worry about money and he could kill anyone at any time, except his 'companions' of supreme power.

These all originally belonged to him!

Until that extremely stupid idiot used his ridiculous naivety to destroy everything and take away everything. His mother died because of him, and his brother also disappeared.

Although I personally shot that bastard at that time, what I lost is something I can no longer possess.

Doflamingo followed CP0 onto the 'escalator', letting the underground slaves get up for him late at night and push the heavy stone road desperately for him.

Doflamingo doesn't actually know all this, but given his character, even if he knew it, he would only enjoy it and have no other thoughts.

Because he should be high and mighty.

On the way, Doflamingo saw the large iron gate leading to the 'Domain of the Gods' from a distance. The Holy Land garrison at that place was still standing guard.

He knew that his former home was there.

He only gave it a cursory glance, and then his attention was focused on the huge castle that was getting closer and closer, Pangaea Castle that represented the center of power in the world!

"Hey, hey, I hope you won't let me down this time." Doflamingo pursed his lips subconsciously, feeling a little nervous.

He is only seventeen years old this year and is still very immature in terms of character, cunning, and strength. Even in terms of influence, he only has power over a small remote corner in the North Blue.

Not long after, Doflamingo arrived in front of Pangaea Castle, and the huge main gate made of steel slowly rose.

To be honest, everything became strange when he got here. After all, the last time he was here he was just a child. So, he could only be on guard and follow CP0 silently, while he kept his vigilance on the surrounding environment.

This city within a city has quite a large space inside, but for some reason, I still haven't seen a single soldier patrolling or standing guard, and it's very quiet.

Until he was brought to a cold, dark and empty hall, only the golden and red throne on the three-story majestic stone platform shone brightly in the direct moonlight.

Only there was no one upstairs.

"I'm not here to see the Five Elders, huh?" Doflamingo had just scanned the surroundings, and when he turned around to ask, he immediately found that the other party was gone!

[Boom!]

At this moment, the door behind him closed heavily, which stimulated his whole body. His fingers turned into claws, his body bent, and his whole body instantly entered a fighting state. Even the Haki he had just mastered was ready to be used.

Doflamingo now seriously suspects that this is a trap, a trap set by the Celestial Dragons for himself!

He was like a wild cat in a cage, looking around at every move with its teeth and claws, and there were thin threads faintly fluttering between his fingers.

The atmosphere became very tense and uncomfortable, as if the air had frozen at that moment, but time continued to pass slowly like water flowing in a river.

Until Doflamingo once again looked at the Empty Throne above his head.

"Um..."

But just a look like that left him in shock. He froze in place, as if he had been affected by a stun effect. The eyes under his sunglasses opened wide, and his pupils were fixed on the figure of the person who, unbeknownst to him, was sitting on the throne.

What scared him the most was not that. The key thing was that when his eyes met those of the person above, his spirit seemed to have received an invisible and substantial impact, and a strong sense of fear washed over him repeatedly.

He only felt that he was spinning wildly in a golden rippled world, and the surrounding air was vibrating and gradually becoming heavier.

Every muscle in his body was shaking with pain, and he was mentally terrified. Doflamingo couldn't resist for even two seconds. He knelt suddenly and could only support himself with his arms. He remained leaning on the cold floor, gritting his teeth and trying to lift his head.

But the invisible weight on his body caused his head, with protruding veins, to lean down and stare at the flawless gorgeous red carpet in front of him.

Who is this guy? The Five Elders? How could there be such a terrifying person who could make me fall to my knees with just one look?

"It's me who wants to see you, little Donquixote."

As soon as he finished speaking, Doflamingo felt that the pressure on his body had been relieved a lot.

But when he panted heavily and was ready to get up, the air around his body solidified like a mountain that did not allow him to move at all.

This forced him to remain in a kneeling position unless he was willing to lie flat on the ground.

"You, who are you?!"

Doflamingo struggled to spit out one word after another. The feeling of fear surrounding his heart really made him extremely painful.

As for the heavy pressure on his body, he also found that as long as there was no thought of getting up, the air was still ordinary air.

Such a magical method, he subconsciously thought it was some kind of devil fruit ability.

"I am your king."

Incomparably cold words came down from the Empty Throne and rippled through the Empty Hall.

"The King of the Celestial Dragons."
