Chapter 7: Foosha Village

Year 1511 (same year)

2 weeks later

"So this is Foosha village huh." Kai was now a 12 year old kid not too tall or too short at 4,7 ft with the same blonde hair as Sanji and blue eyes. He looked at the ships in the dock and noticed one pulling into it before blinking twice. No way! It was Shanks' ship!

What kind of lucky protagonist's perfect timing is this! This means that he can spend a full year with the Red Hair pirates learning! He started walking towards Party's Bar. What a weird name for a bar he thought as he walked in. He saw a little kid sitting alone in a booth and decided to walk up to him. It was Luffy! He was sitting two booths over from Ace and Sabo as they hadn't accepted him yet. He looked around the bar with a smile on his face. He got to meet so many of his favorite characters at once. Just when he was getting closer to Luffy to say hello Shanks walked into the bar. He saw Makino and his lips tugged into a smile as he walked up to the bar to order with a box in his hand.

At this moment Kai finally walked up to Luffy and said "Hello my name is Kai. What's yours?" At this moment he heard an unexpected answer.

"My name is Monkey D. Luffy…" Kai kept waiting for something that would never come. He facepalmed and thought of course he wouldn't say he's going to be the king of the pirates! He hasn't even met Shanks yet! Duh!

"Nice to meet you Luffy do you want some food?" Luffy's head tiled to the side like he was looking at an idiot. This made Kai's eyebrow twitch as he held in the 'I'm not an Idiot' he wanted to scream out.

"Do you have meat?" asked Luffy as he expression turned back to normal. "A bunch" Kai said as he took some out of his backpack and gave it to Luffy.

"You're the best! Let's be friends!" Kai smiled warmly and said "Sure!" before eating some of his own food. As Luffy kept grabbing piece after piece of meat, until at one point, unnoticed by everyone, he grabbed a strange fruit from a box by Shanks' side who was too busy talking to Makino to notice.

"Bleh! That's not meat! He screamed as he swallowed the fruit whole. Kai looked at Luffy's hand, then his mouth, then his hand, then his mouth, then his….

"WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" He started rolling all over the floor laughing and everyone looked at him weirdly. He couldn't speak as he was wheezing so hard.

Shanks finally snapped out of his daze to look at Kai who was pointing from the box by his side, too Luffy, back to the box again but still couldn't say it out loud. Shanks looked at the box beside him and realized it was empty, then he followed Kai's hand towards Luffy, before he looked back at the box, then at Luffy, then at the box, then at Luffy over and over until he finally put it together.

"No fucking way." He said, stunned. Then he looked at Luffy "DAHAHAHAHA!!" He started laughing at Luffy too! He started rolling on the floor with Kai and laughing until they both got up and looked at each other and said in unison ""Did he just say? 'That's not meat!' Wahahahaha/Dahahahaha!"" and started rolling off the floor again laughing!

Luffy was looking at the two confused as he didn't even know what a devil fruit was. When Kai and Shanks got back up Shanks failed to notice the man who had just entered the bar behind them, but Kai noticed with his fruit.

"I can't believe he ate the whole thing. Those things taste like shit!" Kai exclaimed as he was in disbelief. He saw the whole thing happen but was too shocked to stop it. Luffy ended up eating the fruit a year earlier than he should have. Kai then had an idea. He looked at Shanks and gave him an evil smirk which confused Shanks.

"I can't believe you would let a little kid eat a devil fruit!" he cried out, making sure it was loud enough for the man who just walked into the bar to hear. The man who just walked into the bar realized what had happened and laughed.

"Bwahahahaha! What kind of idiot pirate loses his treasure to a kid?" He said as he started walking towards Luffy. He got about halfway to Luffy still chuckling until he stopped in his tracks and started thinking for a few seconds. After a while he suddenly turned towards Shanks and screamed. "You brat! What did you just feed my grandson?!!" as he punched Shanks and Kai in the head and they flew across the bar.

"Why did you hit me too, old man!?" Kai yelled at the old man. Who looked back at him and said with a deadpan expression "I don't know."

Kai's eye twitched but before he could respond Shanks got up and said "Hey Garp! It's been a while! Dahaha!" as he looked over at the old man who was none other than the marine hero Garp. Garp was staring intently at Shanks for a while before a lightbulb appeared above his head.

"You're the brat from his crew! Where's your clown friend?" Garp asked. He was currently wearing his marine vice admiral uniform. Some of Shanks' crew started sweating and one of them whispered "Hey captain shouldn't we leave? He's a vice admiral." Hearing this Shanks just smirked.

"Bwahahaha! You're right brat you should run! I should put you in Impel Down! ...But I'm on vacation! Bwahahaha!" Then he turned to Luffy and started inspecting him and forgetting about the pirates he was supposed to catch. He started by holding up two fingers and asked Luffy how many he was holding up. Luffy said three and Garp nodded as if that was normal. Then he started testing out his reflexes by tapping his knee. Then he finally punch Luffy in the head and watched as a large bump grew on it.

"Nothings wrong with him." He said as he nodded sagely before walking away from Luffy and forgetting he was still holding his arm. Luffy's arm followed Garp all the way across the bar stretching while he was still sitting down. Garp still didn't notice this as he walked up to Ace and Sabo who were turning pale as they saw Luffy's arm stretch over 20 feet.

"A-a-ace y-your grandpa wouldn't do that to use too r-right?" Sabo asked Ace, who was still staring at his own grandpa, shocked. Currently, Ace and Sabo were both too scared of Garp to even notice the bumps on their heads growing after Garp hit them.

"Do what?" Garp asked with a confused look on his face as the rest of the bar was dead silent.

"Wahahaha/Dahahaha" both Kai and Shanks both couldn't hold back there laughter anymore as Garp turned back around seeing both Kai and Shanks beside each other on the floor laughing next to the booth Luffy was sitting in with his arm stretched over to Garp. Kai finally caught his breath and turned to Shanks.

"Is it always like this here?" He asked as Shanks wiped a tear from his eye. "I don't know, but the old man over there is the same as always. So it probably is." Everyone in the bar started shaking their heads furiously. There was no way it was always like this! This was the most peaceful bar on the island! Little did they know that this was going to change starting this year.
