Meeting the Future Warlord

Nearby the Yotsuba Island, the Thunder Phoenix sailed away with her full speed. I stared at the hostile marines who were ironically saved by our actions.

Currently, my entire crew was gasping for air due to the actions of a certain someone....

"Gasp... Gasp... What was that Zoro? Cross had made a literal lightning projection to guide you , and yet you still kept getting lost... How the hell did you even become a pirate hunter?!"

Nami's face was flushed from anger at Zoro's antics, and Noelle also watched with a slight frown. I was just sitting, wondering how people with directional-sense like Zoro could exist. We almost all had to literally hold his hands to guide him back to our ship.

"I still found my way back, right?... Well, I'm just going to go train now."

Zoro just glazed his eyes at everyone's complaints and started training by swinging his sword. I didn't know how to react at either his ignorance of the problem or the diligence he trained with. Like this, we set sail for Orange Island where Buggy Pirates were located at.

'Hmm, will heating up the air particles around the boat cause the wind to pick up and move us faster,' I narrowed my eyes at the electromagnetic waves in the air.

Kari...! Rumbling sounds of thunder surrounded the ships as Cross heated the electromagnetic waves in the air. As a result, the winds picked up and the Thunder Phoenix moved at a visibly faster pace.

"Stop it Cross!" Before I could rejoice at my achievement, a unison of complaints sounded from the trio.

Soon we arrived at the Orange town, undetected by the Buggy Pirates so far. We were sitting in the middle of an abandoned residential house, discussing the strategy to deal with Buggy the Clown.

"So, this concludes my super special plan in stealing Buggy's treasure... Kuhum.. Kuhum, so whaddya guys think?"

Nami's chin elevated with excessive pride. She thought her plan was flawless and the most convenient way to steal the treasure from Buggy Pirates.

Zoro snorted and then said… "I say we charge and cut this guy completely."

"Whatt… that's Buggy the clown… we can't do that… like Cross said, you can't even cut him since he can divide in sections."

"I'll cut him till he's off the face of Earth then", Zoro retorted.

Clap… I cut off their conversation before they argued any further. While I thought that Zoro's plan was the more sensible one due to our superior firepower, I didn't mind having a little fun first.

"Hum… Okay guys I have a plan that may just allow us to do both"

A slim blue-haired man with a clown-like appearance and a big red nose sat on a large seat.

"Captain, we've finally obtained the map to the grand line." One of Buggy fleet's pirate reported.

"Bwahaha… finally… get ready to sail tomorrow… Oh, and we should destroy the entire village tonight." Buggy said, his laugh just like an evil maniac's; his excessive clown makeup made it even more terrifying.

"Huff... Huff... Captainn Buggy!"

Another pirate ran up towards Buggy.

"What!?!"

"There're 4 people at the door; they really want to meet you." Beads of sweat were rolling down the pirate's face

'Hmmm, Who would want to meet me here', Buggy thought.

"Okay!! Bring them in here!"

Soon after, 3 people walked in to the main tent set up for Buggy. Nami secretly stuck her tongue out at me, excited about getting Buggy's treasure.

"Ahhh, look at those 3 swords! That has to be pirate-hunter Zoro"

"It-t can't be, he was captured by Lieutenant Morgan… and who are the others?."

Buggy turned his attention to Zoro and said, "So you must be here for my head… I also want to kill you to make my name famous throughout the East-Blue."

Zoro heard this and places his hands on his sheaths. I stopped him from doing so before the situation became more tense.

"Pirate-Hunter Zoro has now become a pirate under me. We're not here to cause trouble, but because we really respect you."

"Wh-what do you mean you respect me." Buggy asked, his voice stuttering a bit.

"I'm sure you've already heard of the infamous name of Roronoa Zoro. Right besides him is one of East Blue's finest navigator, Nami. That one there's the amazing sniper, Noelle. And then there's me, a man made of lightning."

ZAP… I turned my hand into lightning, resulting in everyone around me to tremble.

"Ahhh, that man is a devil"

"He must have eaten a fruit, just like our Captain Buggy. We're doomed if we fight him and Zoro."

Buggy's face also become a little paler, feeling wronged because he couldn't remember provoking a Logia-type user like me.

"We're here because we all all know that Buggy-sama will be the future king of the pirates." I said, my voice having a tinge of reverence.

Belch… Buggy spat out his food when he heard this. 'When did I become so great?' he scratched his head.

"Buggy! We already know that you were a fearsome pirate under Gol D. Roger. I, Cross, and the rest of my crew think that you're the only man strong enough to be our captain."

Silence… time seemed to stop for a few seconds in Orange town. Everyone was shocked by my words, including Nami, Noelle and Zoro. They couldn't believe that Buggy was once the part of the legendary Roger pirates.

"I-I didn't know our captain was part of the main crew of the former king of the pirates.

"I knew I had followed the right captain. We're all following the future king of the pirates."

All the Buggy Pirates soon had moist eyes and now looked at their captain in another light. Buggy didn't know how to respond for a good while. He had never been flatter this much before, and he just decided to go with the flow.

He thrust his big nose in the air, higher than ever before, and said, "Bwahahahahaha!!… you guys caught me. You're very amusing Cross. I have decided to let all of you join our crew."

The 4 of us smiled slyly as the first part of the plan was perfectly executed.
