5 Chapter 5 : Defeating The Priests

Fear and panic instantly gripped their hearts, casting a pall of silence over the entire scene. Shura, in particular, collapsed to the ground, covered in blood, as he took in the horrifying sight.

A gentle breeze rustled through the air, causing Gedatsu's massive form to tremble. Suddenly, a glint caught their attention: Genos's gun barrel emerging into view.

Click, click!

The black metal barrel gleamed menacingly in the sunlight, exuding an aura of death.

"Oh no," Gedatsu muttered under his breath as he stared at the gun barrel in dread. Instinctively, he hurled a shock shell from his hand.

The air vibrated as the shock shell unleashed a powerful shockwave. But Genos, seemingly unfazed, made no effort to dodge.

"Laser Ray Cannon," a dispassionate voice intoned. Before the shocked onlookers could react, a fiery red beam erupted from the gun barrel, radiating destruction.

The shockwave collided with the crimson laser, creating an ear-splitting explosion that echoed across Angel Island.

Smoke enveloped the area before swiftly dissipating, leaving Genos unscathed in the midst of the devastation.

Tick, tick!

"Sadley..." Gedatsu gasped in horror as they saw the blood-soaked figure next to Genos and the blood pooling on the ground. The sight of the bloody wound on Gedatsu's shoulder left them stunned and terrified.

"How is this possible?" Gedatsu's eyes widened, incredulous as he looked at Genos. The man hadn't moved an inch, taking the full force of the shockwave head-on. Instead of harm, all it had caused were sparks.

The laser had been too fast, and at such close range, Shura had no chance to dodge. His shoulder had been pierced instantly, and the searing pain left him feeling helpless. This man was a monster.

"Go to hell!" Suddenly, an enraged shout echoed from nearby. A powerful gust of wind swept through, and the Gedatsu watched in surprise as Shura, riding a three-zhang bird and wielding a spear, appeared behind Genos.

"Surprise Ball Bun? Ball Dragon..." Satori's eyes lit up as he saw Shura behind Genos. He saw an opportunity to defeat the monster before him.

Boom, boom, boom!

Explosions shook the ground, and smoke engulfed the trio. Noel observed with a smile.

"Shura, Gedatsu..." Ohm's eyes widened in horror as he gazed at the smoke. The Master had seen what had occurred and understood it fully. In an instant, Shura's spear had been rendered useless, and a black line circled Shura's neck.

Furthermore, Satori's gunpowder ball had fallen onto Genos, but the monster remained unscathed.

As the smoke cleared, Shura and Satori lay lifeless on the ground, their bodies trembling slightly. Blood stained the earth, and Shura had a scorched fist imprint on his abdomen.

It was a swift, deadly strike, and the two had been dispatched in the blink of an eye.

"Run..." Gedatsu and Ohm were not fools. They recognized the vast disparity in strength between themselves and the two Qinghai individuals. Relying on their current group to confront Noel and Genos was impossible. Even if they took a moment to regroup, Enel was likely the only one capable of facing the two.

They exchanged glances and then launched a dual attack on Noel, one from the left and one from the right. Having witnessed Genos's terrifying strength and monstrous resilience, they understood that Satori's attack had been futile. Their only hope was to focus their efforts on Noel.

Ohm wielded a large knife that transformed into a whip, while Gedatsu's fist generated a supersonic shockwave as he threw a punch, leaving aftershocks in its wake.

"Domain—Ejection," Noel said, smiling as he extended his hands. A wave of invisible force rippled outward from his palms, repelling the approaching fist and whip.

The shockwave of force radiated outwards from Noel, flattening the ground and sending debris flying. Gedatsu felt a powerful jolt and saw blood spurting from his mouth.

"Field—Ups and Downs."

The ground quaked as Noel spoke again. An overwhelming gravitational force bore down on both Gedatsu and Ohm.

Puff...

Blood sprayed from their mouths as they sank halfway into the ground.

"Let's go... it's time to find Enel," Noel declared, brushing off his clothes. He cast a nod towards Genos.

Genos nodded and took a step forward. Just then, lightning bolts descended from the sky.

Noel raised his head, a faint smile playing on his lips, as he watched the lightning strike. Enel's Thunder Fruit ability was indeed quite convenient...
