1 Gangster Dave

Waking up with a yawn, the first thing Dave felt was hunger, a lot of hunger. 

"Feels like I haven't eaten in days, I really need to stop messing around with lola."

Ace rubbed his stomach, did he get all the nutrients sucked out of him or what? Lola that greedy little minx.

"Huh, why am I on a beach?"

Dave looked around weirdly, he got up and immediately felt his height was different. He was much shorter. 

"Oi, what is this, these are neither my clothes nor my body."

Dave grabbed his hair in shock, but somehow looking at his body seems to have turned on a switch in his brain.

Memories kept flashing in his mind, from childhood to adulthood of a boy named Ace. The memories continued until the night before, that's when Ace starved to death.

"I am in the world of one piece."

"Did I take over Ace's dead body? Isn't this dude supposed to die later so luffy can get his motivation?"

"Man to hell with that shit, I ain't dying for this. Luffy's Nika fruit can whisper motivation in his ear for all I care."

Dave, now Ace gave the world a finger and looked around.

According to these memories he was stuck on this island, he didn't have a boat and harsh sea surrounded the island. 

Escape was impossible.

"I know this place, in the light novels Ace escaped this island after eating his fire devil fruit."

"This remote island actually hides the fire logia in it."

Ace rubbed his chin with a large grin. He was a gangster in his previous life, a regular man without superpowers. 

Becoming fire in this life sounds sick, fire had a lot of potential. Yamamoto from bleach was a fire user and he was top tier in that world. 

"What's stopping me from copying Yamamoto huh? Nothing, I am gonna be goddam invincible."

Ace exclaimed loudly, shocking some massive birds nesting on a tall cliff.

Ace noticed the birds and remembered the story. One of these birds had swallowed a treasure chest.

That treasure chest had the fire logia in it. Because of this the devil fruit was hiding in this island for a very long time.

"I need to find which bird ate that treasure chest, and then kill him somehow."

Ace didn't mind killing, he used to kill rival gang all the time, killing a bird was not a problem. 

The problem was the birds could kill him. These weren't ordinary birds, it was a group of prehistoric birds.

"I am so bloody hungry, I need to find, kill, and eat that bird."

Ace checked his body, his body didn't have many clothes, but he had two weapons attached to his belt.

"A knife and a gun. You are so dead giant bird, I have a gun."

Ace laughed loudly, disturbing the birds again, he didn't care about that one bit and checked his revolver. 

"This is such an old model, how's the accuracy on this thing."

Ace wondered while playing around with his gun, he had used many kinds of guns in his previous life, but this type of ancient gun was a first.

"I wonder which one of them ate the treasure chest. Oi birds why don't you guys tell me the answer?"

Ace shouted carelessly but weirdly, the birds turned to look at him curiously. 

Ace was dumbfounded, then remembered that this was the world of one piece, animals could understand humans.

That's great, let's try something, Ace thought. 

"Which one of you ate a treasure chest? It's a big wooden box."

Ace gestured to the birds and they began making noise, they were talking to each other in bird language.

Finally one bird raised his wing. He seemed proud of himself for eating a wooden box.

"It's you!"

*BANG*

A loud gunshot rang and the group of birds screamed in terror, before all went silent.

*Thump*

*Thump*

*Thump*

Every single bird dropped down from the cliff, all of them were stiff, dead on the spot. Ace had killed the entire group in one shot!

But then, why was Ace's face so hard to look at.

"Bullshit! Why did the bullet hit the sand, what a shitty gun!"

Ace cursed, the bird flock twitched a little and opened their eyes a tiny bit. As if peeking secretly. 

Ace's face turned dark, he punched the biggest bird on it's head angrily. 

"Stop pretending to be dead because you feel bad for me!

"I don't have a trash aim, it's the gun, the gun you hear me!"

The birds trembled, they couldn't help but start laughing loudly, some of them were punching the ground with tears in their eyes.

Ace gritted his teeth and pointed at the flying shit heads.

"Piss off, this is all because you ate my treasure chest, give that back to me man."

"How would you feel if someone stole your nest and eggs huh?"

Ace poked the big bird on the chest, yes, Ace was emotionally blackmailing a bird.

And it worked, the bird group quickly stopped laughing, the bird Ace had just poked in the chest widened It's eyes.

He shook his head and looked at Ace with pity, patting Ace's shoulder with his wings made some consoling noises.

"Caw"

The bird said confidently before patting It's chest, a few other birds quickly hopped upto the treasure chest bird.

One of them held it's right wing, one held it's left wing, and one raised it's leg.

The treasure chest bird was now sweating, he was shaking his head like he was not ready to do this.

But the group holding him was smiling ear to ear, not caring about the treasure chest bird, they started to count down.

"Caw"

"Caw"

"Caw!"

*Bang*

The treasure chest bird was kicked in the stomach, it's face became green. He was going to vomit. 

*Gaaaah*

*Thump*

The bird vomited on the ground, holding his stomach and panting heavily.

But thankfully the treasure chest was out. Ace was looking at it with wonder.

"Shit, you really got it out."

Ace raised his leg and kicked the treasure chest hard.

*Snap*

The old lock shattered into pieces. Ace sat down and opened the treasure chest.

The birds made a circle around him and curiously looked inside.

An orange red fruit was sitting inside the box, Ace grabbed the fruit tightly. 

After showing it to the group surrounding him, Ace happily took a bite. His face instantly turned green, but he forcibly ate the entire thing. 

Not because he was hungry enough to eat shit, but because if he didn't eat, this group of bastards would laugh at him again.
