8 Chapter 8

[3 days later]

Garp arrived in front of the hideout with Luffy.

"Yo Ken, Ace, and Sabo!" said Luffy

The four of us hang out a lot at Makino's bar. But Luffy wasn't allowed to come into the mountain because it was too dangerous. There are some wild beasts here.

"Yo." x3

"What are you doing here Garp?" asked Dadan

He smiled at her.

"This is my grandson Luffy, and you'll be taking care of him for me."

She looked pissed.

"Are you crazy! I already have my hands full with these three brats!"

He glared at her, and she got scared stiff.

"Hey Dadan, just give up. You aren't going to win this fight." I said

"I don't care! I'll stand my ground!"

"How about I tell the marines about you?" said Garp

"Are you blackmailing me?"

He smirked.

She seemed to understand the situation.

"Well, have fun, Luffy. I will come back when I have time."

He left.

Dadan had a pissed look on her face.

"That damned Garp!"

She looked at Luffy.

"Ey brat, if you cause me trouble, I'll kill you!"

Luffy smiled at her and then looked at us.

"Who is this fat old lady?"

We all went inside and left the two of them alone outside. For the next hour, all we could hear were screams.

[1 month later]

Ace, Sabo, Luffy, and I are standing in front of 4 Sake cups.

"If we drink these cups of sake, we will become brothers." said Ace

"Wow, really?" asked Luffy

Ace nodded.

The three of them picked up the cups, but I didn't move.

"Hm, you okay Ken?" asked Sabo

I looked down.

"I… I don't think tha-"

I suddenly felt someone hugged me from behind.

"It's okay, big brother. You don't have to feel guilty. It would make me really happy if you had someone to call family, so please don't abandon them."

I looked behind me and saw nothing.

I smiled.

'Thank you, little bro.'

I grabbed the Sake cup and showed my biggest smile. They smiled back.

"Then from now on we are brothers!" said Ace

"Yeah!" x3

We drank the Sake.

I looked at Luffy.

"Ey puffy, how about you join my crew?"

"There is no way I'm going to be joining you! I'm going to become the King of the Pirates!"

"Hahaha, that is what I expected from you, but empty words won't get you anywhere."

He glared at me.

"I'll show you!"

He tried to punch me.

*BAM*

I punched him into a tree. But he didn't look hurt and came at me again.

[2 years later

Garp just came to pick me up for my training. I have told Sabo the truth, but Luffy thinks that I'm going to just train for five years, which is basically what I'm going to do.

Garp and I boarded the ship, and everyone came to wave me off.

"You better train hard or I'll beat you to a pulp when I see you next time!" screamed Ace

"I'll beat both of you when we meet again!" screamed Sabo

"Bring back a lot of MEAT!" screamed Luffy

"Don't come back!" screamed Dadan

"Please be careful!" screamed Woop Slap

"I'll treat you once you come back!" screamed Makino

'I'm going to miss these guys.'

I waved at them, and a couple of minutes later, the Island was already turning small.

'It's a good thing that I took care of the Bluejam pirates, or I would have been worried about Sabo. I also used some of Bluejam's blood to write a message on his father's bedroom wall.'

[If you come after Sabo, I'll kill you!]

Garp had taught me a little about infiltration.

'I'm sure that he is scared shitless.'

I started looking around when the island was completely gone. This is the first time I've been on a ship.

'This will be my first journey, and I'm directly going to Marine HQ. I really want to see the look on Garp's face once I receive my first bounty.'

"Ey Garp, how long till we get there?"

He was looking at the sea.

"One week."

'How am I going to kill time till then? Oh, I know.'

I went into the kitchen.

I had a smile on my face.

"Ey chef, can you teach me how to cook."

He looked at me suspiciously.

"Why?"

"Staying on this ship for a whole week is going to become boring. I thought I might as well learn something new."

"Alright, I can teach you a thing or two if you don't make a mess in my kitchen."

"Thank you."

[1 week later]

We arrived at Marine HQ. We went through the calm belt, but to bad, we didn't see any Sea Kings. Once we set foot on solid ground, everyone nearby bowed to Garp.

He suddenly grabbed my collar and put a key in my hand.

"Wait for me. I need to do something first."

"Wait, what!?"

*WOOSH*

He threw me into the air.

"AAAHHH!"

I was flying at the speed of light when I started falling down. I saw a house under me. I tried to grab onto a tree to slow my fall a little, but I missed and fell on the ground. I was lying in the courtyard.

"ARGH!"

'Damn him!'

I looked at my body. Even though it hurt, I didn't see any injuries. I managed to stand up. I looked at the house and saw a sign.

[Vice-Admiral Garp Residence]

'So this is his home, huh.'

I used the key he gave me to open the door. I went inside, and it looked like a typical one-story home. It wasn't decorated crazily or really messy. I sat on the couch and fell asleep.

[An unknown amount of time later]

*BAM*

"OUCH!"

I opened my eyes and found an angry Garp in front of me.

I looked at him, pissed.

"What was that for!?"

He glared at me.

"Who allowed you to sleep on my couch? Go outside and do 1.000 pushups."

"Huh?"

"NOW!"

I had a shocked look on my face.

"Yes, sir!"

I quickly went outside and started doing pushups.

"What are you doing! What are these pathetic pushups! Go lower!"

"Yes, sir!"

'What have I signed up for!'

*BAM*

He stomped on my back.

"Stay focused!"

[6 hours later]

I was lying in a pool of my own sweat. Every time I did a pushup or something else, he found something that was wrong.

'I thought that I always pushed myself beyond my limits, but this guy can even push the limits of a god.'

Garp looked at me, disapprovingly.

"Why are you on the ground? Get up right now!"

I turned pale.

"But aren't we done?"

He smirked at me.

"Those where only exercises to build up your body. Now I will teach you how to use your body."

"And how are you going to do that?"

He balled up his fist and gave it a kiss.

He smiled at me.

"If you don't dodge, you will be hit."

*BAM*

I managed to roll away, and he missed me by a hair. His fist hit the ground and made it crack.

'Is he trying to kill me!?'

I quickly got up and started to run away. But he caught up and tried to punch me. I was dodging his punches only by a hair.

*BAM*

He hit me straight in my face. I fell down on the ground, and my vision was blurry.

"Oh no, did I kill him!?" said Garp.

I lost my consciousness.
