I looked at the castle from my window.
'A martial arts technique that gives you power in exchange for your health. Why would anyone even waste their time with this?'
I laid down on my bed.
'But what if I can unlock its secrets? I would become way stronger. Or I could fail and get sick. It could also be fake. This is giving me a headache.'
I walked down to the cell.
"Goodmorning, Vlad. Have you had a nice sleep?"
"Yeah, this cold hard cell without a bed and my hands in cuffs make for a wonderful sleep."
"Hahaha, at least you have some sarcasm left. But I didn't come here to joke with you. Give me the technique, and I'll bring you to your enemies."
"How can I trust you?"
"You can't. And it's not like you have much choice. You're my prisoner now."
He glared at me.
"Don't worry. I'm a man of my word. Give me the technique, and I'll drop you at their doorstep. You can immediately start your revenge."
That immediately caught his attention.
"Holy Land Mary Geoise is the place all your enemies are. It's next to Sabaody Archipelago, where we are heading. So what do you say? A ticket to their front door if you give it to me right now."
He stared at me for quite a while.
"Take me to the deck, and I'll get it."
"Sure, but you better be careful with what you'll do. We fucked your dad up without going at him with full power, so don't get any ideas."
"Don't worry, I'm not stupid."
I opened his cell.
"Let's go then."
We walked up to the deck. Everyone looked at us with interest. He looked at the castle, and he put two of his fingers in his mouth.
He suddenly let out a really high pitched whistle that I could just barely hear.
A couple of minutes later.
Everyone put up their guard.
The wolf stopped in front of the ship and put down a box that he had in his mouth. He walked back.
I looked at Vlad.
"Go and open it."
"It's not like it's a trap. But whatever."
He jumped down and opened the box. Inside of the box lies a new looking notebook.
"Didn't you say that it's 900 years old?"
"We just kept rewriting it every now and then to make sure it didn't get lost in history."
He jumped back up and gave the notebook to me. I opened it up and saw that it was written in the ancient language.
"To be honest, another reason why no one else tried it ever again is because they couldn't read it."
"Couldn't you have said that earlier?"
"Are you going back on your word?"
"Don't think that you've tricked me. I have a beautiful Archaeologist on board who can read the ancient language."
"Tsk. Just don't go back on your promise."
I gave the notebook to Robin.
"Check if this is a martial arts technique."
She quickly looked through it.
"I can definitely tell that this is a martial arts technique, and it looks it has a couple of strong moves."
"Alright, that's good. Translate that for me and write it in another notebook."
"Since you were honest, I will fulfill my promise. Let's move everyone. I don't want to stay at this place a second longer."
"Yes, Captain!" x15
"No, You can't come. It will be too dangerous." said Vlad
"You don't need to protect me anymore. Go, you're free."
"Why do you have to be so stubborn!?"
The wolf suddenly looked at me.
"Captain, can we get the cute puppy onboard?" asked Perona
"It will definitely be helpful to scare off a lot of enemies." said Perona
"And it's cute." said Robin
"No, he can't come! It's too dangerous!" said Vlad
"Sigh. You guys give me a headache after another."
I looked at the wolf.
"I don't understand what you're saying, but I can understand what you're eyes are saying. You can get on as long as you behave yourself."
The wolf immediately jumped onto the ship and started licking my face.
"Ey, stop it! Ey, ey!"
He kept going.
"Hahaha, it seems like he really likes you, Ken." said Ace
'At least he isn't trying to bit my head off.'
Vlad jumped back onto the ship.
"Why did you let him get on!"
I glared at him. He and the wolf backed off.
"Be careful who you scream against. This is my ship, and I'll let whoever I want on it. You should be happy that you still have someone who cares about you. Just accept his help and shut up."
He didn't know what to say.
"Captain, we're ready to go." said Laffitte
"Alright, move to the back of the island. Vlad, show Laffitte where the exit is."
He glared at me and then walked to Laffitte.
The ships started finally moving, and a little bit later, we arrived at the back of the castle. The ships stopped at the back. I was about to ask where the exit is when a water vortex suddenly appeared.
"What the hell is this, Vlad!?"
"The only way to exit this place is via this route. There is no other exit."
"Tsk, you could have said that earlier! Dorry, steer your ship behind mine! The rest get inside right now!"
Dorry took the helm of the big ship, and I took the helm of mine. The rest all went inside the ship. I started steering the ship in a circle following the current of the vortex. Dorry followed behind me.
'I hope that this will make the journey out of here a little easier.'
We reached the deepest part of the vortex, and we got pulled inside. Instead of what happened to us when we first got to this place through the vortex, this time, it pulled us inside an underwater tunnel made out of water. The current took us through the tunnel really fast.
'I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!'
We got shot out of the tunnel and what greeted us was a blue sky and no land in sight.
We fell onto the water.
'That went way better than I expected.'
Everyone walked back out of the ships.
"Damn, that tunnel was so cool!" said Deuce
"Yeah, I thought that we would get fucked like last time." said Robert
"It sure was awesome. Laffitte, take over the helm and lead us to Sabaody Archipelago."
