When we far away enough away, Robert made his move.

"Shadow Transfer!"

The entire island suddenly disappeared.

"Damn, you're awesome, Robert. But how will this stop them?" asked Deuce

He smirked.

"The sky."

We looked to the sky and suddenly saw the entire island falling down onto the marine warships.

All the warships got destroyed, and huge waves appeared that sent us away from Enies Lobby. We started riding the waves out of there.

"We should be fine now."

"Damn, Robert, since when did you become so strong?" asked Deuce

"What do you mean? I've always been strong!"

"No, you're still weak!" said Ace

"What was that!? Do you want me to beat your ass!"

They started fighting.

I smiled.

My Den Den Mushi suddenly went off. I went to my room and picked it up.

"Yo. Did you like the show?"

It's 2 pm, and the sun is shining bright in the sky. I was sitting on the upper deck, reading a book, when suddenly everything turned dark.

I looked up and saw that the sun was gone.

'Shit, I completely forgot about the Thriller Bark Arc!'

Everyone ran to the upper deck.

"What is going on with the sky!?" asked Ace

"I don't know. This could be an enemy attack, so keep your guard up."

'I do know what's going on, but I need to be careful with the information I tell them. I could accidentally tell them something about future events, which will make things troublesome.'

They nodded.

We kept sailing when we suddenly heard something in the mist.

"W… w… what is that!?" asked Zala

"Yohohohoo. Yohohohoooo. Yohohooo."

A ship suddenly came out of the mist.

"It's a ghost ship!" screamed Deuce

"Don't tell me that there's a ghost on board!" screamed Ace

The ship started going past us, and we saw a skeleton on there looking at us with a broken teacup in his hands while he is singing.

"AAAHHH! A SKELETON GHOST!" x13

Everyone ran away and went to hide, even the giants. Only Robin didn't seem afraid, but she also went to hide.

I looked at Brook, and I could clearly see the sadness in his eyes.

"Sigh. May I come on board your ship?"

His skeleton face immediately brightened up.

"Of course."

"Wait, Ken, where are you going?" asked Sabo

"Shut up and stay here, you idiots."

I jumped onto the ship and looked around.

'It looks even more depressing in real life.'

"I'm sorry for the mess. It's been so many years since I've had any guests."

"It's fine."

I looked him up and down.

"You look really cool."

"So, what's your name? Mine is Ken."

"My name is Brook. It's nice to meet."

I suddenly felt him becoming sad.

I could feel him becoming happy again.

We jumped onto my ship and went to the kitchen. Everyone was still hiding.

"Take a seat."

He sat down, and I started making us tea.

After I was done, I poured us some tea and sat opposite him.

He drank the tea.

"Wow, this is so good! I haven't had such good tea in years."

I smiled.

"I'm glad you like it. You can have as much as you want."

The door suddenly opened, and Robin walked in.

"Are you not scared anymore?"

"I just hid because I thought that there was danger."

She sat beside me and poured herself some tea.

"Don't take them hiding personally. Talking skeletons aren't common."

"So, what are you doing here alone."

He immediately turned sad again.

'I shouldn't have said that. I'm such an idiot.'

"You don't need to tell us. I'm sorry for asking."

"No, it's okay. You guys seem like nice people, so I will tell you."

He started telling us about his past and everything that happened till now.

We could hear people crying behind the door. Robin used her Devil Fruit to suddenly open the door. Deuce, Robert, Ace, and Sabo fell into the kitchen. We could see the rest of the crew, including the giants, also listening in.

Everyone except for Van Augur was crying.

"We're so sorry for the way we acted." said Ace while crying.

"We shouldn't have acted like that." said Deuce

"Please forgive us." said Sabo

I could feel Brook becoming really happy, and he also started crying.

I smiled.

'It's good to see him happy. I couldn't imagine what I would do if what happened to him happened to me. He is a strong guy.'

I stood up.

"Ey brook."

Everyone became quiet.

"Yes?"

"Join our crew."

"Alright, then."

'Just as easy as I thought it would be.

"Alright, let's have a party for our new crewmate!"

"Am I also invited?"

I looked behind me and saw Laffitte.

"Did everything go according to plan?"

He nodded.

"Good, you're invited then."

"Thank you, Captain."

[12 hours later]

Everyone has passed out drunk, except for Brook and me.

He was sitting on the railing, looking at his ship. I sat next to him.

"Are you okay?"

He looked at me with a deadpan look.

"I'm dead."

"Hahaha, you sure look like it."

I put my fist on the place his heart should be.

"But you being able to laugh and cry means that you still have a heart. And that is the most important thing you need to be alive, but most importantly, human."

He smiled.

"You're amazing, Captain. You can immediately lift up someone's spirit when they needed it the most."

"Well, that is what it takes to be a Captain. If you don't love your crew and they don't love you, you'll never make it to the end together."

I looked at his ship.

"Don't worry about them. I'll make sure to find a perfect place to bury them. And I'll also get your shadow back."

"I appreciate you helping with my friends, but I will get my shadow back myself."

I could see the determination beaming from him.

I smiled.

"If you lose, I'll have to punish you."

"Yohohohoo, don't worry Captain, I won't lose!"
