2 Chapter 2

'Hm, why does hell feel so wet? And why does it feel like I'm lying on sand? Huh!?'

I opened my eyes and saw a blue sky.

'I didn't know hell had such a beautiful blue sky.'

I looked around and saw a sea and a forest.

'Wait, this can't be hell! Did I enter heaven!? But I killed my parents. There is no way that they would let someone like me in.'

I tried to stand up but I fell face-first on the sand.

'Huh!?'

I looked at my hands.

'Why are they so small!?'

I managed to stand up with difficulty. I looked at my body and it looked like I was 5 years old. and I'm wearing different clothes. I'm wearing black shorts, black shoes, and a white shirt that is now dirty.

'Does everyone get smaller in heaven? But there is no time to think about that. I need to find my little brother.'

I started shouting for my little brother.

"Little bro! Little bro, are you there! If you hear me, please respond!"

It was quiet. I could only hear the birds chirping.

"ARGH!"

I fell on my knees while clenching my head.

*HUF*

I punched the ground.

'Damn it! Why did I get sent into this world alone!'

A weird angelic voice told me that I have been sent to the One Piece world because my little brother wished for me to live the life I wanted.

I looked up at the sky with a determined look and a couple of tears falling.

"Don't worry little bro, this time I won't let myself be used by anyone. I will do things my way and reach the pinnacle so that no one can tell me what to do."

I stood up.

'The voice told me that If I go through the forest I should arrive in Foosha village. When I arrive there I will know for sure if the voice told the truth.'

I started walking through the forest.

'The air in this place seems way cleaner than back home. Or that might be because I lived close to a factory.'

After 10 minutes of walking, I finally made it out of the forest. I spotted the village and started walking for another 10 minutes. After arriving in the village I was amazed by how beautiful it looked. There were a couple of windmills in the village. I've never seen any windmills.

'This is definitely Foosha village. But what am I going to do now? I have no place to sleep or eat food. Maybe I should try my luck with the mountain bandits. They didn't seem like bad people and they did care for Luffy, Sabo, and Ace.''

I looked at the mountain where they have their hideout.

'I don't know where it is exactly and if I get lost in the dark, I will have a really bad time. If I go in the morning, I will have the best chance of succeeding. But where am I going to stay for the night? The only people I remember from this village are Makino and the Mayor."

I looked around and saw a house that had "Mayor" written on it.

'I guess I'll try my luck at the closest place.'

I arrived at his house and knocked on the door.

*KNOCK*

"Wait, I'm coming!"

After a little bit, the door opened and an old man with red and white striped trousers and a hat with a yellow shirt came out.

He looked down at me with a smile.

"Who might you be?"

'Oh yeah, I don't have a name. I might as well think of one since I will be needing it.'

"My name is Ken."

He smiled at me.

"It's nice to meet you, Ken. I am the mayor of this village, Woop Slap."

He held out his hand and after some hesitation, I shook his hand.

"So why have you come to me, Ken?"

'I can't tell him what really happened.'

I looked down and a couple of tears fell out of my eyes.

"There was a… big wave and… everyone..."

*SNICK*

I suddenly fell two arms around me.

'Huh!? What is this warm feeling?'

"I'm really sorry to hear that. But don't worry, you can stay here for as long as you want. Come in you must be hungry. I'll make you some food."

He pulled my arm before I could say anything. He told me to sit on the couch and went into the kitchen to make food.

I looked around and saw what I expected from an old guy's home. The house is small and cozy. There are a lot of medals and pictures from when he was young. It seems like he was a marine at one point.

10 minutes later he told me to come to the kitchen. I walked into the kitchen and was surprised. It is even bigger than the living room and there are so many cooking supplies.

"Wow, this kitchen looks impressive."

He had a proud look on his face.

"Well, I've put a lot of work into it. But let's eat first. Come and sit."

I sat on the chair and I was surprised by how delicious the food looked and smelled. I immediately started eating.

"Haha, you really were hungry. Eat as much as you want. There is enough."

'This is so good!'

*COUGH*

He quickly gave me a glass of water and I downed it.

"Don't eat so fast. It's not going to run away."

I had an embarrassed look.

I started to eat slowly. After I was done I stood up and bowed to him.

"Thank you for the food."

He smiled and patted my head.

"You're so polite. There is no need to thank me."

'There it is again! What is that warm feeling?'

"You must be tired. Follow me."

I followed him upstairs to a small room with a bed, desk, chair, wardrobe, and a window.

He tucked me into bed.

'Why is he being so kind to a stranger?'

He smiled at me.

"Goodnight."

He left the room and closed the door behind him.

'I've only been in this world for a little bit, but a stranger has already taken better care of me than my own parents.'

I stood up and looked out of the window.

'Maybe it will really be possible to live the life I dreamed of. A life of freedom where I can do whatever I want. I will never feel like I don't have the power to change my fate. But to accomplish that I need to become stronger. And I think that being around the Dadan family will help me quite a lot in that aspect.'

I went back to bed and slept for the first time in this new world. And for the first time, I was looking forward to tomorrow.
