20 Chapter 20

We were getting ready to sail out, and Crocus and Laboon came to send us off. I threw a bag to Crocus.

"That's the 20 million we owe you."

"It was only 10 million." said Crocus

"The extra 10 million is for rent."

"Sigh, I just hope you won't forget the other part of the deal."

"Don't worry about it. I'm a man of my word."

I looked at Laboon.

"It was fun hanging out, Laboon. I will come back again when I'm the Pirate King."

*Happy whale noises*

"Doctor Crocus! Thank you for everything! I won't forget your lessons!" screamed Deuce

"Tsk, just go away already. Your such a nuisance."

"What!? Don't talk like that, sir."

"Hahaha, it was fun hanging out with you two, but we will have to go now. Goodbye."

Our ship started sailing away.

Crocus waved at us, and Laboon was jumping around.

After a little bit, we couldn't see them anymore.

"Damn, I'm going to miss them." said Deuce

"Hey, Deuce. You've been really close with Crocus. Don't tell me you two were doing some funny business behind our backs?" said Sabo

"What! Do you want me to kill you!"

"Hahaha, I think you're right, Sabo." said Ace

"I'll kill you both today!"

(An: Nothing like that happened between the two of them.)

They started fighting.

"Laffitte, is the log pose working?"

"Yes, sir. It's pointing to one direction."

"Good, I'll leave it to you to get us there."

"Leave it to me, sir."

'I wonder what route we'll get. If I get the same as Luffy, that'll make things much easier. But even if that isn't the case, I need to get to Alabasta to pick Robin up.'

*WOOSH*

Suddenly a cannonball came flying at our ship, but Laffitte deflected it. I looked at where the cannonball came from and saw a pirate ship.

'I don't recognize that flag.'

A guy with an eye patch and two wooden legs came forward.

"You guys are pretty good for rookie pirates, but this is the Gra-"

*SLASH*

I cut their ship in half.

"WHAT!" screamed the eye patch guy

"To think someone as weak as you dares to talk big in this sea. How pathetic."

We let them fight for their lives and went onwards with our journey.

"I hope we won't meet more of such guys." said Deuce

"Captain!" screamed Laffitte

"Huh, what is it?"

He pointed at the clear blue sky.

"There is a massive storm incoming. I've never seen one this big."

"What are you talking about? The sky is as blue as it can be." said Ace

"Listen to Laffitte. The Grand Line is known for its quick weather changes. Ace, Sabo, take down the sails! Laffitte, take control of the helm!"

They nodded and got to work.

"And, Deuce."

"Yes?"

"Grab on for dear life!"

"Yes, sir!"

I suddenly felt a cold breeze against my face. I looked up at the sky, and it immediately turned black, and it started raining.

"Captain, at 3 o clock!" screamed Deuce

I looked and saw a massive wave incoming.

"EVERYONE HOLD ON!"

*BOOM*

We got swallowed into the wave.

I kept holding onto the ship till we got spewed out of the wave.

"Sigh. That was rough. Is everyone okay?"

"Yes, captain." said Laffitte

"Barely." said Deuce

"I'll survive." said Sabo

"What about you, Ace?"

*SILENCE*

"Hm, Ace?"

I looked around, and he was nowhere to be seen.

'Don't tell me!'

I closed my eyes.

'Found him!'

I immediately jumped into the water and started to swim down at max speed.

*WOOSH*

I was speeding through the water.

I saw Ace slowly sinking to the seafloor, and I saw a Sea King speeding towards him.

'Damn, I need to get there faster!'

I used Haki on my legs, making me much faster.

*WOOSH*

I appeared next to Ace and grabbed him.

*WOOSH*

I started moving towards the surface again, but the Sea King didn't want to let us go. I appeared on the surface and used one last Geppo to get me on the ship.

"Ace, Ken!" screamed Sabo

Suddenly the Sea King appeared out of the water.

*ROAR*

"Sabo, secure our dinner."

He smirked.

"Right away."

I put Ace on the floor.

*SLAP*

I gave him a hard slap on his cheek, immediately waking him up. He sat up and started to spew water out of his mouth.

"Urgh, where am I and who are you?" asked Ace

*SLAP*

"Ken!" screamed Ace

"Welcome back."

*BOOM*

The Sea King fell down dead. Sabo and Deuce started to skin it and taking out all the meat.

Ace slowly stood up.

"Damn, I thought that I was a goner."

"You need to be more careful next time."

Sabo and Deuce were done getting all the meat.

"Laffitte, get us back on course."

"Yes, captain."

"Deuce, Sabo, pull the sail down."

They nodded.

'This sea is way more dangerous than it looked in the manga. I need to be more alert and look out for Ace.'

"Captain!" screamed Laffitte

"What now!"

"Another storm is coming!"

"You've got to be kidding me!"

[1 week later]

Finally, after a week of battling the sea, we finally saw land.

"Guys, get ready to dock the ship."

"Yes, sir." x4

After a couple of minutes, we finally reached land. I looked around the port and saw a couple of pirate ships.

'This must be an island where pirates come regularly.'

"Laffitte, go and gather some information."

"What kind of information?"

"Just whatever you think will be helpful."

He bowed and disappeared.

I looked at the rest.

"One of you stay here and protect the ship. You can decide under yourselves who that will be."

I jumped off the ship and onto the island. Everyone immediately locked their eyes onto me.

'I'm this famous already? I wonder how they'll look at me when I have a 1 billion berry bounty.'

I kept walking through the town until I found what I was looking for. A shop that is selling log poses.

I walked into the shop and saw an old man sitting in a chair and reading a book.

"Hello, sir."

He looked at me.

"What can I help you with, young man?"

"Do you have any eternal log poses."

He pointed at a shelf.

"That is all I have."

There was about 11 eternal log poses on the shelf. I went closer and started looking through them. I took 5 of them.

"How much?"

"50.000 berries."

I paid him the money and left the shop.

'Now, I won't need to worry about not being able to complete my plans.'

I started searching for the next shop I wanted to visit when a pirate group stopped me.

"So you're that super rookie, Ken." said I presume their captain

"Look, that is Purplebeard. He has a 52 million berry bounty." said a random guy

"But isn't that Ken with a 350 million berry bounty. Does Purplebeard have a death wish?" said another random guy

"Hahaha, I may have a lower bounty, but this guy must have been lucky. There is no way you could get such a high bounty in one of the four Blues. But if I kill you, I'm sure that my bounty will become higher."

He pointed his gun at me.

"Now, start begging for your life."

"If you're stupid enough to think that someone can get a bounty above 100 million with luck, you'll die before you know what happened."

"How dare you threaten me!"

*BAM*

He shot at me two times.

*WOOSH*

I appeared in front of him.

*THUD*

He fell down with a hole in his head.

"CAPTAIN!" screamed his crew

I glared at them, and they immediately ran away, and they left their captain's body behind.

I walked away and kept looking for the store. After walking for a little bit, I finally found a Den Den Mushi shop. I walked inside and found a young clerk cleaning the shop.

"Welcome to our shop. What ca- it's you!"

He looked like he just saw a ghost.

"Calm down. I'm just here to buy a couple of things. I won't hurt you."

He calmed down a little, but he still looked wary of me.

"What can I help you with, sir?"

"I pointed at a couple of different Den Den Mushi."

"Right away, sir."

He packed everything up for me.

"Have a nice day, sir."

"Are you an idiot or something?"

He immediately froze.

"I'm sorry, sir!"

"I still need to pay."

"Huh?"

"This isn't how you run a business. You can't give stuff away for free. How much is it?"

"But…"

I glared at him.

"350.000 berries, sir."

I took out 35 10.000 berry notes and gave them to him.

He smiled at me.

"Thank you, sir! Have a nice day!"

I nodded and walked out of the shop.

'I've bought everything I needed. I should get back to the ship.'

[I have a plan that involves beating up a certain guy who really likes sand. What do you guys think? And I'm not beating him up just for the sake of beating him up. It will be really rewarding for Ken.]
