12 Chapter 12

[So a lot of you have been asking if the mc will get a devil fruit and the answer is no. And about the love interest. I seriously have no idea. I don't want to do Robin, Nami, or Boa Hancock. I want someone around his age. He is 17 years old right now. Three years older than Luffy.]

[Next day]

I woke up with a big headache.

'That was a bad idea.'

I stood up and kicked the other awake.

"Argh, what was that for?" asked Sabo

"We need to leave before the marines find us. We did take care of one of their ships, after all."

They all stood up while holding their head.

"So where are we going?" asked Deuce

I took out the map and pointed at an island.

"We are going to Conomi Island."

Deuce looked confused.

"I know that island. There is nothing to do there."

"There is this pirate called Arlong. He is tyrannizing the island."

"But aren't we pirates? That is a job for the marines." said Deuce

I smirked.

"We aren't the type of pirates who hurt innocent people. When we have the chance, we will help them. But that isn't the main reason I want to go there. I've heard that he has a lot of money."

Everyone seemed to understand.

"So you don't even care about the people." said Ace

I acted shocked.

"Of course I care about them."

'I guess there is some truth in his words. I don't really care that much about strangers. If I didn't know these guys from the series, I'd probably not even care about them. Even though I know Nami from the series, I found her kinda annoying sometimes.'

"But let's stop wasting time. Deuce, pull up the anchor. Sabo, free the sails. Ace, you're the helmsman."

They nodded and went to do their jobs. I took out the map and compass.

'It was smart of me not to only focus on getting stronger, but also visiting the library and learning a couple of useful things.'

A little bit later, we were sailing on the sea.

[1 day later]

I was sitting on the bow when Deuce came to me.

"Yo." said Deuce

I turned around.

"Sup. Is there something you want to talk about?"

He looked to be hesitating.

"Why are you trusting me so easily? You said that you had a soft spot for people with parent issues, but that can't be all. You don't look like an idiot."

I smiled at him.

"It's a gut feeling."

He looked surprised.

"Are you really trusting me on a gut feeling?"

'Maybe he really is an idiot.' said Deuce under his breath

*BAM*

I punched him on his head, making him fall on the ground.

"ARGH!"

I smirked at him.

"Have more respect for your captain. "

I reached out my hand.

"I may trust my gut, but that doesn't make me an idiot."

He took my hand, and I helped him up his feet.

"I'm sorry, captain. It's just hard for me to trust people."

I put my hand on his shoulder and smiled at him.

"Anyone who joins my crew becomes a part of my family. I'll do anything for my family as long as they do the same for me. Just remember that."

"Yes, captain."

"Just call me Ken."

He smiled at me.

"Ken it is."

I smiled back.

"Now get your ass back to work. I told you that you're the lookout."

"Right away."

He quickly ran to the top of the mast. I sat back on the Bow and looked at the big and beautiful ocean.

'Looking at the map, it should take us three more days before we reach Cocoyasi Village. I'm not planning to become a righteous hero. The only reason I'm going to Cocoyasi Village is because Arlong has a lot of money. Even Though most of that money is the villagers, they should be thankful that I got rid of Arlong.'

"Sigh."

'I wonder how this will affect the timeline. But it's not like it really matters if the timeline changes or not. I was never trying to keep it intact. Sabo didn't join Dragon, and Ace didn't join Whitemustache.'

[3 days later]

We arrived at the Conomi Islands. We anchored our ship and jumped off. When we were about to go into the island, we got stopped by two fish-man.

They are staring us down.

"Who are you!" said fish 1

"Do you even know where you are!" said fish 2

*BAM*

They fell down with a hole in their head. I put my gun back, and the three behind me looked shocked.

"Why did you just shoot them like that!?" asked Ace

"Yeah, we can't just kill innocent people!" said Sabo

"Hahaha! Innocent? These guys? How funny. They are part of the Arlong Pirates. They have been killing and extorting the people of this island. Does that sound innocent to you?"

"I didn't know that they were fish-man! Fish-man are ten times stronger than normal humans. Why haven't you told us!?" said Deuce

I scratched my nose.

"I forgot."

They looked at me angrily.

I smirked at them.

"If you guys are scared, just wait for me here. I'll be back soon."

*WOOSH*

They ran past me.

"We'll see who is scared!" screamed Deuce

I smiled.

'These guys. Why not, I'll let them take care of it, but I won't stand around and do nothing.'

<Soru>

I disappeared.

[Ace P.O.V.]

I was running at the front. I looked back at them.

"Why are you guys so slow?"

They glared at me.

"I'll show you!" screamed Deuce

"I'll defeat all of them before you guys!" screamed Sabo

"Hahaha, you guys have no chance!"

I used my devil fruit on my feet to propel myself forward. My speed increased drastically.

'Now, let's see where that Arlong is.'

I used my flames to propel myself into the air, but it was tough to keep going straight. Even though I have been training really hard these last four days, it's still hard to use it.

After flying a little bit, I saw a big building that says, Arlong Park.

'Alright, that must be it.'

I started flying towards it. I looked down.

'Huh!? How can they keep up with me!?'

A little bit later, the 3 of us arrived in front of the Arlong Park.

"Where is Ken?" asked Sabo

"He is probably lost or something. Let's just take them out before he gets here." said Deuce

I smirked.

"Don't worry; I'll be done swiftly."

I enveloped my hand in flames and hit the gate.

*BOOM*

The door flew away, and a couple of fish-man got hit by my flames.

The 3 of us walked in.

"Who are you three brats, and how dare you attack my people!" said who I presume is Arlong.

I pointed at him.

"Arlong, I will take care of you today."

"Huh! I'm the one who is going to take care of him!" said Deuce

*WOOSH*

Sabo didn't say anything and directly went for Arlong. He took out the pipe from his back and tried to hit him, but he got blocked by an octopus fish-man with six swords. Deuce also tried to go after Arlong but got stopped by water bullets flying at him. It was an ugly blue fish-man with blond hair.

Sabo and Deuce started fighting the two fish-man while I was dealing with the lackeys who kept going after me. But all their attacks kept going through me, so I was easily able to defeat all of them.

Suddenly someone appeared in front of me. And tried to punch me, but it went through me. I grabbed his hand and used my devil fruit to burn him to a crisp.

"KUROBI!" screamed Arlong.

He was grinding his teeth and glaring at me. I looked at Sabo and Deuce and saw that they were in a stalemate.

*WOOSH*

Arlong suddenly appeared in front of me with a black baton.

*BAM*

I suddenly got sent flying into the water.

'Impossible! I can't be hit!'

All my strength was leaving my body. I could see Arlong coming after me at an impossible speed. His eyes are red, and the killing intent he is leaking is terrifying.

*BAM*

He kept hitting me over and over. I was about to lose consciousness.

"DIE!"

He was about to hit me again when I suddenly appeared back on the ground. I looked at the one who got me out.

"KEN!"

He threw me on the ground.

"Just because you ate a logia, it doesn't mean that you're invincible. There are plenty of people out there that can kill you."

I looked down in shame.

"I'm sorry."

"It isn't the time to feel sorry, go and help the others."

"But what about Arlong?"

He smirked.

"Don't worry about the weak fish."

Suddenly Arlong appeared out of the water.
