2 Grandson

Garp and Sengoku arrived in Birka whilst wearing their uniforms.

"So where do we go? Do you still remember the place?" Garp asked while picking his nose.

"I'm not sure where the place is, since everything changed but I had a lot of memories here.. those were good times." Sengoku said while smiling tearfully at the same time pondering of the memories of the past.

"Let's ask around, maybe the locals can help us find her." Garp said while slowly walking to the town.

When they arrived, there was a huge commotion due to the arrival of an admiral and vice admiral.

An elder hurriedly approached them and greeted them politely.

"Greeting sirs! Welcome to Birka! Is there anything I can assist you with?" Said the old man with wings.

"Yes, we are looking for Delia. Is there a chance you know of her?" Sengoku asked with a hint of anticipation.

"Hmmmm right delia huh? Wait I'll try to remember." The old man pondered.

Suddenly the young man with them interjected.

"Elder, isn't that the old lady that lived in the other side of the hill? The young man said.

"Oh yeah! That's her! She lived right across that hill over there!" The elder said while pointing at the hill.

"Thank you very much! We'll be going there right now!" Sengoku said full of excitement.

"I'm sorry sir but you won't be seeing her there anymore. She died due to an illness a week ago, Leaving her grandchild in the orphanage nearby. Do you perhaps know her?" The young man interjected again.

"WHAT?! LAST WEEK?! Wha- whaa- what?" Sengoku asked full of grief and anger.

"Hey Sengoku! Calm down!" Garp says trying to console his friend.

"NO! I SHOULD'VE BEEN HERE SOONER! MAYBE I COULD'VE SAVED HER! DAMN! DAMNN!" Sengoku was so angry he was unleashing waves accross the Small island.

"SNAP OUT OF IT!" Garp yelled while punching Sengoku in the face.

Sengoku stared at him with a blank look.

"Wake up you damn bastard! I know you're sad but getting your grandson is more important right now! You gained and lost a lot in just a short time, are you planning to lose your grandchild too?" Garp asked with a hint of anger.

Sengoku snapped out of it and said " Ye- Yes m-my grandson! My- my grandson! Where is he?!" He hurriedly blurted.

"Can you guide us to the orphanage?" Garp asked the young man.

The young man witnessed the power of Sengoku's fury so he hurriedly took them to the town orphanage.

====================================

"Here we are sir!" The young man nervously told the two.

"We should've changed our uniforms before coming here. Those stares we were getting were really uncomfortable." Sengoku said with annoyance.

"Oh you really think it's the uniform? Are you sure it wasn't the waves you gave off that nearly crushed the island?" Garp said teasingly.

Sengoku just smiled in embarassment.

"Thanks kid, you may leave." Garp turned and said to the young man.

Sengoku and Garp went in the orphanage. There was a baby crying loudly while being carried by a young woman. The old caretaker beside her took notice of them.

"Hmmm a marine with an afro... You must be the Seku geezer Delia was telling me about" the old woman said with annoyance.

"Yes that would be me." Sengoku said with a slight smile.

"Alright take this little runt then! He's been crying all day and night since Delia died! No one seems to ever make him stop!" The old woman says while passing the baby to Sengoku.

Sengoku held his grandson and smiled noticing his silvery white hair just much like his grandmother.

The baby stopped crying when he held him. He was looking at him curiously , then the baby smiled brightly.

"Oh it seems the kid recognizes his grandpa!" Garp said with a cheeky grin.

"Hello little guy. I'm your grandpa!" Sengoku says with a happy expression.

After a while of doting and playing with his grandson Sengoku turned back to the old lady.

"I'll be taking my grandson. I know it was hard, but thank you for taking care of him." Sengoku said while bowing slightly.

"Oh that's good then, the kid finally stopped crying. It's kinda getting annoying, I don't know what happened to his parents since Delia never told me. I'm glad the little runt still has family to take care of him." The old lady said with a slight smile.

"I didn't even know I had a grandson nor a daughter for that matter. I just found out yesterday when I read Delia's letter. Alas I.... I.... I read it too late. I wasn't able to meet my beloved for the last time." Sengoku said while lifiting Renji near his face, with tears in his eyes he smiled weakly.

Renji seemed to sense the sadness his grandpa had so he tried to reach his face and giggled to cheer him up.

"HAHA! It seems the boy is trying to lighten things up! What a sensible brat!" Garp said with a cheeky grin.

"Thanks Renji." Sengoku said with a kind smile.

Renji giggled while reaching for his grandpa's hair. After a while the trio said goodbye to the orphanage and left Birka to return to Marineford.
