7 Enkidu's Devil Fruit

Hearing her new name for the first time causes her eyes to sparkle "That's my name? Just for me?"

"Yep, Enkidu do you like it?" Pulling her along they step out of the sphere and into a dense forest filled with trees and shrubs.

"I lik-" Brrrgrrg. Before she can even finish her sentence a loud rumble from her stomach fills the forest.

"I'm sorry, I'm not hungry!" Breaking free from his grasp she waves her hands in desperation, urgently trying to prove that she is fine.

"Don't worry, you don't have to worry about food anymore." Waving his hand a small cloud of iron sand breaks from the sphere and hovers over his palm like a swarm of mosquitoes.

Moving his fingers slightly the cloud of sand forms into a jet black arrow. Moving his hand towards the south, the arrow begins to spin at rapid speeds.

"Hyrule's Arrow!" The arrow flies at incredible speed towards a tree. Just as it's about to penetrate the bark Gilgamesh flicks his hand up, causing the arrow to turn 90° in mid-flight.

Shooting straight up, the arrow pierces a large falcon perched on a branch. As the arrow pierces its body it breaks up into fine needle thin razor blades, cutting off all its feathers and skin.

"That's incredible!" Enkidu throws her hands into the air from amazement as the bird drops to the ground.

Shaking his head he can't help smiling at her innocence. "It's not that great, that bird is just weak. I doubt those thin blades will even do any damage to a normal marine soldier."

Drawing a circle with his finger the iron cloud catches the meat before it can hit the ground and floats it towards them.

"Marine?" Enkidu tilts her head in confusion to the new term.

"Bad people, I'll tell you about it later." Turning around he heads back into the sphear. "Come, we have a lot to do."

Seeing him disappear into the orb she hurries to follow him.

Sitting on the floor the door closes again. Placing the hawk onto the ground it slowly sinks.

"No food?" Looking at the bird sink into the floor she once again becomes confused as to what he's doing.

"I'm cleaning and cooking it somewhere else, but for now we need to do something about you." Waving his hand the orb flies towards the mountains to the south where he gets all his water over the years. "You're about to take your first and last bath."

"Bath?" Her brows wrinkle slightly at another new word "Whats a bath, can you eat it?"

"You'll see." Smiling slightly he closes his eyes to concentrate on dodging people's locations.

"Whats a handmaiden?" Crawling on her hands and knees she moves to sit next to Gilgamesh, as though she's afraid he might disappear.

"It means you do things for me, whatever I ask."

"Oh" nodding her head she looks around curiously "Why is your clothes covering half your body?"

"Because I never bothered to find anything better."

"Oh" Looking at the rags on her body and Gilgamesh's waist she sees almost no difference, causing her to smile. "What are the other things your wearing?" Sticking out her little finger she touches the rings around his wrist.

"They are for training to fight, with the increased weight my body will become stronger."

"Oh"

Silence fills the room for a few seconds.

"What's training?"

"Don't worry, I'll teach you later." Opening his eyes he rises to his feet "Where here."

Outside the door is a clear mountain stream with flowing water going downhill. Pushing his palm towards the ground causes a small crater to form inside the room. Drawing a line with his index and middle finger from the crater to the stream causes a small irrigation channel of iron sand to form.

Watching the crater fill with water Enkidu is once again amazed "How do you do this? Why can't I do it?"

"This is my ability, but you will be able to do something soon." Walking outside the sphere huge banana trees come into view along the stream.

Flicking his fingers a few times to send out iron sand blades, a few large banana leaves fall to the ground. Picking them up he walks back inside to see that the water is almost full.

Enkidu stands over the pool in silence looking at her reflection in the water. "Is this me?"

"No one else it could be." Squatting down next to the water he first cuts off the channel and sticks his index finger in the water.

His finger sparks and steam begins rising from the water. "Ok." Rising to his feet he looks at Enkidu while pointing towards the water "Take off that rag and get into the water."

Looking between the water and Gilgamesh for a moment she pulls the rag over her head and steps into the water without question. "Ehhh, It's warm."

"Make sure you don't drink the water and try to rub every part of your body and hair to clean the dirt." Turning his back he sits down with the banana leaves in front of him.

"The water is changing color!" Enkidu screams with excitement at all the new things.

"Good, just keep scrubbing." Picking up the banana leaves he lays them out to overlap and form a big sheat. His fingers begin to move in the air as iron sand wraps around the leaves, making clothes using the leaves for padding on the inside and outside. Inducing a strong magnetic bond he prevents the sand from falling out of place to finish it off.

Hearing splashes he turns around to see Enkidu splashing around in dirty brown water. "Ok, that's enough, get out."

Hearing his words she stops slapping the top of the water and climbs out.

Looking at her clean skin and silky hair he finally nods. Waving his hand the new clothes wrap around her body like a sports bra and panties.

"Did you make this for me?" Holding her hands up she looks at the banana leaf clothing in excitement.

"Don't be too happy yet." Flicking his wrist a few times her old dirty rags are thrown out the room, next a lid of iron sand covers the pool and drains the water outside, and lastly a table and chairs form out of iron sand.

"Sit." Sitting in a chair Gilgamesh points at the other while looking at Enkidu.

Rushing over she hurries to sit in the chair. As she sits a hole opens in the middle of the table and the deboned hawk meat appears.

"Eat it." Resting his elbow on the table and holding his face Gilgamesh smiles.

"All this is for me?" Her eyes go wide as she looks at all the meat.

Not saying a word he just nods his head.

Picking up a piece of meat she puts it into her mouth and begins to chew. After only three bites the tears begin to flow "It's so good."

Gilgamesh just smiles as he watches her eat the first meat dish in her entire life. He's not sure how she survived for the next three to four years till she meets the Doflamingo Pirates, but the simple fact she was able to survive on her own for all that time and even become one of the only three kids from over a hundred to pass Doflamingo's test shows her strong will to live.

Picking up the last piece of meat she stuffs it into her greasy mouth. Leaning back in her chair she closes her eyes with a smile and pats her bloated belly.

Waving his hand over the table causes another hole to appear, but this time instead of meat its a fruit.

"Enkidu"

"Ah! Thank you for the food." Coming back to reality she quickly becomes flustered.

Holding out his hand he stops her from talking. Taking a second he then points towards the fruit on the table "First off, you never have to thank me for anything I do for you. If I do something that means I wanted to do it and your thanks will tarnish my kindness. For example, after you finished eating instead of saying thank you, say it was delicious instead to show appreciation."

Enkidu nods furiously as if taking in gospel.

"You are a smart girl so I'm sure you will figure it out. Secondly, do you know what this is?"

"Fruit?" Tilting her head to the side she looks at the strange brown fruit on the table "I don't think I can eat anymore."

"Well, it's not really for eating as you only need to take a small bite. This is a Devil Fruit, by biting into it you will gain an ability." Making a pushing gesture towards Enkidu his lips part and his teeth show as the biggest smile in this life appears on his face "Go on, take a bite."

Looking at his excited face Enkidu is stunned for a moment, but remembering all the stuff Gilgamesh has been doing she grabs the fruit.

Staring at it for a few seconds she moves it closer to her mouth. Her small lips part and reveal her small baby teeth. As she bites into the fruit a thick juice runs down the sides of her mouth while she sits there petrified.

"Tasty?"

The fruit falls from her hand "Not at a-"

Before she can finish her sentence she collapses into a pile of mud.
