2 Chapter 1: Strange Building “Guild”

Year 1522.

Grand Line, Saboundy Island Archepelago, Mangrove Tree 13, Shakky's Rip of Bar.

*Ring*

"Congratulations— Ara, you still know where to come back" A woman who was currently cleaning the glass at the bar sink immediately stopped her work staring at an old man with a slightly disheveled appearance with long white hair who walked into the bar while smile with an apologetic smile.

"I think it will take more than 6 months to see you again" The woman continued her words while exhaling the smoke from the cigarette she had just smoked, "What now? Have you run out of money and have remembered to come back?"

"Hahaha…" The old man couldn't help but smile shyly and replied, "I'm back, Shakky"

The woman named Shakky has an appearance that looks quite easy with a black bob haircut.

"Now then, how long will you last before continuing your adventure, Ray-san?" Shakky asked with interest as she walked over to the old man whose name was called Ray-san who was currently taking a seat in the bar.

"I guess I'll stay for a while. It just so happens that in the past few days, nothing interesting has happened on this island." The old man named Ray replied calmly.

"If you want something interesting, why don't you continue your previous profession? That way, your life will not be calm like this and will always be something interesting because every time you will be hunted "

"Hahahaha..." Ray then laughed hearing Shakky's answer, "Don't talk about such things. I am old, there is no ship that can accommodate an old man like me" Ray then smiled and looked at Shakky, "Can you give me a drink? As usual"

"No free drinks" Shakky said flatly, "If you want a drink. At least in the near future, you should help me run the business. These few days, there are quite a number of visitors and it is quite troublesome to serve them alone."

"Deal"

Accepting the offer, Shakky immediately prepared the drink that the old man named "Ray" usually drank. Hearing his name alone, it was certain that Ray's name was not the old man's real name but only his nickname. Assuming that Shakky said the old man would be needed if he did something like he did before, surely the old man named Ray was a criminal.

While Shakky was preparing a drink for him, Rayleigh's gaze shifted to the right and was visible from 250 meters from the bar where he was currently. At that location there is a building that catches his attention.

The building is a small building with a sign hanging in front of the building that reads "Guild"

"Hey, Shakky" Ray called calmly without taking his eyes off the building that had the nameplate named Guild.

"Hmm?" Shakky immediately stopped the work she was doing and looked at Ray because of her call.

"When was the building that had a sign that said Guild built there?" Rayleigh asked in a tone full of interest.

"Building?" Shakky asked confusedly then her gaze immediately followed Rayleigh's, "Rarely do you get interested in anything other than gambling and drinking"

"Hahaha..." Ray just laughed hearing Shakky's answer.

"That building… Probably just built last night" Shakky replied.

"Possibility?" Ray asked again in a somewhat confused voice.

"Don't look at me with that look" Shakky said calmly while throwing away the cigarette she was currently smoking, "The building wasn't there yesterday and just this morning when I wanted to open the bar, I saw the building was already there"

"I see" Ray nodded and his gaze returned to the direction of the building.

"Is there something strange about that building?" Shakky asked confusedly, "Or, do you know the owner of that building?"

"No" Ray immediately shook his head, "I don't know him and it's the first time I've seen the building here." Ray paused and continued, "Just, for someone who dares to open a business in an area that doesn't have any laws. I guess, the person who is the owner of that business is strong enough to open a business in this place… Especially being able to build that building in such a fast time."

Shakky finally began to show interest in the building upon hearing Rayleigh's words.

"Hearing you say such things…" Shakky paused for a moment, "I think my interest in the building is growing… Judging by the appearance… The building probably has a restaurant business"

"Restaurant?" Ray muttered then his gaze looked at Shakky, "Have you had breakfast?"

"Breakfast?" Shakky raised her brow, "Do you want to go there to try the dishes there?"

"Hahahaha… Is it too obvious?" Ray smirked then continued, "Besides, are n't you interested in the business that the place is doing? Also, all of us can come there to say hello and get acquainted. Because the building is close to where we are. We'll start to be neighbors now."

"It's kind of weird to hear that sentence coming from someone who hasn't been anywhere for long periods of time," said Shakky.

"Hahaha…" Rayleigh just laughed at those words, "Well, what do you think? Want to join?"

"I guess it's fine to just say hello" Shakky sighed then looked at Ray, "Anyway, if you let you go there alone. I'm not sure how you're going to pay for food to eat when you don't have any money at all."

"Hahaha…" Ray couldn't help but laugh embarrassedly at the answer given by Shakky.

Shakky immediately walked out of her post then the two of them started walking out of the bar. Before continuing go to the building that says Guild. Shakky first rotated the notification board which previously had an "Open" sign to "Close" so that her customers would know that she was not where he was at this time.

The two of them walked leisurely and it didn't take long for the two of them to arrive in front of a building that had a "Guild" sign attached to the front of the building.

"This place…" Ray muttered under his breath while touching his chin, "Compared to a restaurant. Look at it up close. This building is almost like a bar"

"I think I'd lean more towards this building almost like a mix between a bar and a restaurant. Usually restaurants have enough windows that can show diners a view of the inside to grab their attention while looking at it up close. The building is hardly the same as a restaurant and is more of a bar type. However, regarding the size issue… I think it's more of a restaurant leaning."

"Isn't there also a bar that has a large size?" Ray asked calmly.

"There is but it's rare especially in an area like this place." Shakky said calmly, "Well, instead we have to think about finding the answer. We'd better go in to have a look inside, especially at the front entrance, it's also written that the business is currently open. Whatever is in it, we came just because we wanted to find out and say hello."

"Hm" Ray nodded and the two of them immediately walked towards the front while opening the entrance.

*Ring*

The bell above the door rang as soon as Ray pushed the door open. The two of them walked into the building and immediately saw the appearance of the inside of the building.

The inside of the building has a fairly large size of about 100 to 125 square meters. In the center of the building there is a dining table that can be used for 6 to 8 people, totaling 3 units. While on the left side of the inside of the building there is a dining table equipped with a sofa. These units can usually be found in bars where there are 3 such units as well as tables in the building.

Then right at the back of this building there are two doors, each of which is large, with the door on the right side of the back of this building having a nameplate installed on the top that reads "Entrance Door" while the door on the left side of the back this building has a nameplate mounted on the top that reads "Exit".

Then right on the right side of the building, a few meters from the entrance there is a staircase that leads to the second floor room then right near the stairs there is a door that leads to a room. Then beside the door there is a long table where there are various components as well as a young man sitting there casually reading a book.

The young man has the appearance of a teenager who is only 17 years old with messy black hair, white skin, and wears clothes that are quite casual.

The sound of the doorbell ringing when Ray opened the door immediately caught the young man's attention. The young man then immediately stopped his reading activities and immediately stood up from his seat where when his face was seen, the beautiful red eyes of the young man were clearly visible.

"The first guest" The young man's voice sounded excited to welcome the arrival of Shakky and Ray, especially when he heard the words that came out of his mouth that Shakky and Ray were the first guests in this place.

The sentence spoken by the young man immediately attracted the attention of Ray and Shakky. The two immediately turned their attention and looked at the young man who smiled at them both then said, "Welcome to the Adventurer's Guild"
