*A few days before Lex's bounty*

* In Camenealia*

Cougar was running like a mad man, he pushed open the door to the King's Bedroom and knelt before the king visibly shaken.

"Your Majesty-your Majesty,sorry for barging in but the Marine hero, Vice-admiral Garp wants an audience with you,and he isn't Willing to leave.."

"Grahahaha,move out of the way young fellow your blocking the way"

Cougar turned around and his face paled,Garp was behind him and looked scary

"Vice admiral the King isn't well you shouldn't have come here we'll set up a meeting later,if you could follow me.."

"That's enough Cougar, let him come in.." The king got out of bed and stood up slowly,he was visibly in weak state

"Your majesty please lay down I'll get the Vice Admiral out of here and call the Doctor", Cougar was shaking seeing the King in pain.

"Cougar that's enough leave me and old man alone, and you take care of his men"ordered the King

Cougar reluctantly agreed and left closing the door as he left.

As soon as Cougar left the air was filled with a tension both of them meeting each other's eye, literal sparks flew out.

Then in the midst of it *Snore Snore* Grap fell asleep standing, seeing this the king was furious he took a nearby vase and thew it at Garp shattering him, making him bleed profusely. This made Garp wake up and looking around making sense of things

"You have the audacity to come in univited,to wake me up with your loud banter and then you fall asleep yourself, you moron".The king was furious right now.

"Grahaha looks like I fell asleep again, and by the way who are you calling old Charles, I've never been better,unlike you". Garp sat on a chair and opened his rice crackers.

Charles smiled and sat on the seat opposite to him,"So what does the Marine hero want with a king from some backward county?".

"Now, now can't I meet an old friend? You can use a good sparing partner, let's see if your just as good as you were before", Garp said cracking his knuckles.

"Sigh, you haven't changed at all Garp, so tell me are you coming just to talk about the good old days or is it official",Charles looked seriously at Garp.

Garp saw Charles demeanor change but the dense man just put his finger in his nose and started talking,"You know i have a grandson now".

Charles raised his eyebrow and relaxed,"Really? When did that happen, what's his name?.

Garp grinned and took out his wallet which contained a photographer of himself with a kid Luffy," See thats him, his name is Luffy, isn't he cute? He's a mischievous but that's what makes him a man his character..."

Charles felt a little awkward at the moment 'I didn't know Garp had this side of him, he's totally in love with his grandson'.

Charles just laughed awkwardly while Grap continued about Luffy but then suddenly he saw the photographer again and noticed something Luffy was wearing it was a straw hat nothing out of the ordinary for normal people but for Charles...

Charles interpreted"Garp that hat your grandson's wearing it looks very similar to.."

Garp sighed,"It's the same one" He then went onto tell him about Luffy's meeting with Shanks,his devil fruit and his dream to become the Pirate King..

*Hahahaha* Charles burst into laughter,"Garp man your family has it bad, A Marine hero and then A revolutionary and now a Pirate we could write a book about your family".

Garp sighed,"Well from what I've heard we have one thing in common 'Shanks'...

The room turned Silent..

Charles sighed,"Well I don't think my son will become a Pirate, from what I've observed he doesn't seem to be too interested in going after One Piece and he's already left Shank's crew".

Garp nodded,"Well that's why I was sent here, your Son seems to have extraordinary skills, he defeated a Captain in Lougetown and his antics with Shanks and his crew were also big, the world government can't hide his presence anymore so I was sent here to tell you this before you hear it from a paper".

Charles closed his eyes and remained quiet for a minute,"My son has chosen his own path and I'm not going to interfere with him or with the government so you don't need to worry about that".

But suddenly Charles's demeanor took a 180 degrees he stood up and removed his royal shirt and a scar was revealed, the scar ran diagonally from Charles's right shoulder to his left hip," Garp do not forget that I was only a young man when I saved you from Death at the hands of 'Rocks' in 'God Valley' and helped your World government defeat 'The Rocks Pirates', and I maybe Sick but i can always take one or two of you down with me,so tell those old fools that if they lay a hand on my country or its citizens then..."

Charles infused his hands with haki and smashed the wall, the outer wall of the castle crumbled to dust.

Charles continued,"But like i said with the matter of Lex i won't interfere so you don't need to worry about me coming after someone".

Garp got up and smiled"Grahahah ok King Charles, i will relay your message to the Fleet Admiral and the elders it was nice seeing you again, I'll come back soon".

Garp exited the room,left the castle and came back to the ship.

The King meanwhile looked into the distant sky and sighed,'Lex the way I am i can't protect you so take care son'.
