3 Running From Marines

(Caleb's POV)

"Wake up, scumbag." A voice called

I opened my eyes to see the barrel of a gun. I looked past it to see a man pointing a rifle at me.

"What?" I managed as I tried to get up

"Don't move." He warned

I froze. Not wanting to get shot. I looked at him closely. He was wearing a white uniform and a white cap. He was a marine.

"Uhm." I said

"Oi!" He called out to someone, "Bring the cuffs! I got someone here!"

I watched as a couple other marines rushed over to I was at. I was so fucking confused. Last I remember was the girl telling me she was sending me to this world. How the hell did I end up here?

"Excuse me, what is going on?" I asked

"You bastard." He told me, "You were wrecking havoc around in the bar drunk as hell last night!"

Well, that's something.

"Yea I'm sorry." I said

I had to do something quick. I don't wanna get arrested by the marines. This won't be good for me.

The others reached us and they pulled me up.

"Man this guy is a big one!" One of them said

"Cuff him." The one holding the rifle said

Instinctively, I pushed one away and made a bolt for it.

"Hey!!" The one with the rifle shouted, "I'll shoot!"

"Fuck fuck fuck fuck." I said as I ran

What the hell was I doing? My body just moved on its own. I just pushed an officer while I was being detained!

I then heard the rifle fire a shot and felt the bullet whiz past me.

"Oh shit!" I said as I made a turn around a building

I had no idea where I was even at. What the hell am I gonna do?! First thing I do in this world is get in trouble with the marines. And for getting drunk last night? How does that make sense? I don't remember shit!

I kept running as I looked around. It looked like I was in a town of sorts. Some people were looking at me as I ran.

I then slowed to a stop and went to an alleyway as I leaned against the wall. I looked out to the street snd checked if I was being followed. I guess I outran them.

Wait. I did what?

"Did I outrun someone?" I said surprised, "I'm barely capable of doing that!"

How fast did I run and how far did I run? What the hell!? My body didn't feel tired at all! I wasn't the most athletic person in the world and all of the sudden I can outrun a bunch of marines in One Piece!

I then felt someone tap my shoulder.

I jumped, "Huh?!" I exclaimed

I looked to see a young woman looking up at me.

"Excuse me sir." She said, "Here."

She handed me a key.

"What's this?" I asked

"The key to your room?" She raised an eyebrow, "The girl with white hair told me to give it to you. She said your stuff is in there."

Girl with white hair? Does she mean the goddess? What in the hell..

I took the key, "Uhm." I said

"Do you wish for me to show you to it?" The woman asked

"Uh yea.." i nodded

She then started walking to the street as I followed.

A couple of minutes later, we arrived to an inn where she showed me to the room. She gave me a smile and walked away.

I looked at the door.

"What the…" i said before using the key and unlocking the door

I walked in, the room looked like anything special. I looked around and saw some clothes on top of the bed. There was an envelope on top of them.

I walked to it and grabbed the envelope, opening it and pulling out a letter.

I then started reading it:

'Caleb, this is Me, Your Goddess. I have sent you to a random island in The New World. No worries it isn't a crazy one. Just a boring one where some marines go and resupply. Anyways, make sure you get your stuff. I gave you a sword. I know i said you can choose your weapon but I changed my mind.

The Greatsword is named Ice. Yes. Like the one from Game of Thrones. This is your life now. (May have misspelled that at first but someone corrected me on my end, haha). From here on out, you shall be known as Starrk. I gave your body a little makeover too. Made you a bit more handsome, the rugid kind. My type of man.

Also, be sure not to lose Ice. Its a really high grade blade. Train with it and become strong. Don't forget that you have to make someone Pirate King. Take your pick on who. There are some that have a headstart and some that haven't started their journey.

Oh and by the way. I may or may have not spread a rumor of a man named Starrk who has the ability to see the future or something. I doubt Im-sama would overlook that~'

I crumpled the paper and threw it on the floor.

"Dammit!" I shouted

I then saw as the paper started to disappear. I merely blinked and stared down at the now empty floor.

She said she gave me a makeover? Let me go check.

I walked over to the full body mirror that was on the all. I widened my eyes to see myself.

I was tall and had muscles. My hair was a bit longer, reaching my neck and it was jet black. I had a scruffy beard and my eyes were also piercing black.

"Holy…" i said touching my face

I then noticed a greatsword leaning against the bed from the reflection of the mirror. I turned around and walk to it. I grabbed Ice and lifted it up, completely surprised that i could even do that.

"What.." i said before laying it down on the bed

This was completely surreal for me. I can't believe this was happening. The goddess said i have to make someone pirate king. Who? What?

Does that mean I have to become a pirate? That's just great! Last thing I need is to be sailing the seas and trying to have someone becoming Pirate King at the risk of my own life!

But if I don't, I won't go back home.

My stomach sunk. I wanted to go back home. To my family. To my friends.

I looked at the clothes on the bed.

I sighed, "No other choice…"

Around half an hour later, I walked out the inn wearing the clothes the goddess left me. It was some pants a shirt and a leather trench coat. I had Ice strapped my back as I clutched the strap.

I looked around to see if there was any trouble.

I then heard someone shout.

"There he is, Borsalino-san!!"

I turned to see a group of Marines walk up to me.

I widened my eyes to see a young Kizaru walk in the front of the group.

"K-Kizaru!!" I exclaimed under my breath

"Oh?" Kizaru said as he approached me, "Is this the one?"

"The one known as Starrk?"
