1 Prologue

(3rd Person View)

"Alright, Time to watch some anime and go to bed."

Inside an apartment, a young man sat in a couch facing a large screen smart tv. He was browsing through Crunchyroll in order to see which anime he should watch tonight.

"Last night, I did that Netflix binge all night. Good thing today I had my day off." He said as he scrolled down the Shonen section, "Peaky Blinders, man. Really good show. Hope Tommy gets his son back safely and they kill that bitch of a priest. That dude pisses me off."

He then took a glance at the clock on the wall. It was already 9:00pm

"Ah man, I think I will just hit the sack." he said, "Have to get up early tomorrow and take inventory at work. Hopefully Mr. Sato doesn't chew my ear out again for whatever reason."

The name of this young man is Caleb. He is of mixed decent, being half european and half hispanic. His biological mother died when he was 3 years old after having a 2 year battle with cancer. His father, heartbroken and tired of his old troubles with both sides of the family, decided to move on and remarry when he was 6 years old. He currently lives in Japan, where his father had moved with his 2nd wife who was Japanese and was the CEO of a designer brand and had lived in a house in Kyoto for 13 years. Wanting to be a bit independent, Caleb decided to move out at the age of 19 and go to Tokyo where he currently is studying and works part-time at a local supermarket, in order to make some money, despite him not needing to. He has his own apartment that his Stepmother insisted he stayed in while she paid for it. This is something he is very grateful for. The apartment is not something any ordinary person could easily afford, but his stepmother very much can afford it and more.

He currently has no girlfriend since his last one gave him a humiliating breakup due to the fact that he refused to stop watching anime, reading manga, or play video games; things that were very much essential to him growing up, to keep him from falling into deep depression. He also firmly refused to delete his Twice fan account on Twitter because apparently, she was jealous that his profile picture was that of Sana's, his favorite Twice member. Also, to add to that, she was infuriated to hear that he had actually gone to one of their concerts in Tokyo dome without her; and actually got to take a picture with both Sana and Mina. To his defense, she had gone to the united states with her parents to visit her family and he had constantly asked her if it was okay for him to attend the concert; she said it was okay, but she was lying, for some reason. He had even bought a second ticket for her and planned to take her but the trip to America was last minute, so he took his StepMother instead. It was quite the toxic relationship he was in for 3 years that even his two best friend growing up had countlessly told him to end it, but even he was not sure why he never did. When she did in fact left him, Caleb did not even feel a hint of remorse for those actions that he took that angered her, he was quite relieved even. When it happened, his friends took him to South Korea to attend a gaming event as celebration, they even surprised him with a Dreamcatcher fan-meet where they took pictures with the girl-group and got albums signed. They then got drunk one night and went to see movies together in the middle of the night. It was a very fun and memorable week for them.

Unfortunately, he had to depart from his best friends, since one of them had to go to Canada to take care of his Aunt who was sick and the other had a new job in Osaka and was very busy most of the time. They do in fact log on to Apex Legends once in a while and have the best of times as they mess around and get utterly destroyed.

So right now, as eventful as his life may have been, he is at the moment comfortable with it.

"Well, time to sleep." he said as he turned the TV off and walked towards his room, turning the living room lights off.

As he walked to his room, he felt the apartment shake a little. He immediately stopped and looked around. It was a quick and sudden light tremor that he felt, but something that did bother him.

"What the..." he said as reached for the doorknob of the door to his room

As he grabbed it, he felt the doorknob was extremely hot and he instinctively jerked his hand away.

"YO WHAT THE HELL?" he yelled out in pain

Then, the door started shaking violently as it started glowing white. Suddenly, it shot right open and a blinding light shone right on Caleb's face.

Caleb covered his eyes as an immense pressure pressed him against a wall.

"Aaaargghhhh" he grunted as the light continued to shine on him

There was a heat to this light, a heat not so dangerous but hot enough to keep Caleb from uncovering his face with his arms.

Then, in an instant, the light disappeared and so did the pressure. Caleb collapsed to his knees as he was sweated profusely. Was it because of the heat? Was it because he was scared of the sudden circumstances? Both, actually.

He heard footsteps approach him from his room. He looked up to see a young woman with white hair and blue eyes. She was for some reason wearing a maid outfit.

"HUh" he stammered, "W-Who are you?"

The woman then smiled as she reached to him and grabbed his face with her hand.

"I am your Goddess." she said

And with that, they both disappeared.
