Desolated Island

'How long has it been? weeks? maybe a months? Sigh this is crazy.' I muttered silently as i look at the vast ocean before me.

I'm Alex 38 year old, programmer or so that was before I was struck by lightning and died.

I remember floating in the darkness, void of anything, it was empty and desolated. That was the worst thing I've ever experience, I've always thought that once you died you'll die, disappear into nothingness.

How wrong I was as it was as contrary to my expectation, It was nightmare, cold, silent, lonely, it felt like I was imprisoned, chained, hopeless, helpless... pathetic, and that was when I saw a dot of light.

I grab it but i can't, frustrated i scream but i can't, no matter what i do it just didn't work, i cried but i can't, how pathetic am I... am not a believer but face with such a situation, i prayed to god or whoever and that's when something happen

The light exploded and the next thing i knew is waking up in an inhabited island.

My hands was also small, no not only my hands my feet to, no my whole body.

"Holy Cow!"

I've read enough manga and anime in my life to understand what's going on so, but still I was freaking shock.

One moment I died, Next I was trapped in that hellish place for who knows how long, Next I knew I was in this place!

"Reincarnation? Crossover! Shit!" I was excited of course, how can I not? others might freak out, panic, peed, or even suicide at the thought but I'm not I always dream of being isekai-ed... unfortunately it didn't seems simple as I initially thought.

1 day later, My enthusiasm faded away.

All my expectation were simply wash away as no matter what chant I scream, I cannot summon my magic. No matter how much I cultivate I cannot feel the Qi.

There's no mutant powers or some kind of bloodline, so my physique was no different than an average kid .

"... I'm fuck up!" Realising how the gravity of my situation was, I was terrified.

For days I wander around the forest to gather any food I could get to survive. Hunting animals was a wishful thinking as my physique was too weak for that, making an animal trap to catch some is possible but how can I, an average guy living comfortably in the modern world know about that?

Others might be like, 'there was an internet fool, you could learn everything there.' but let's be practical, how can I, a very busy man working my ass for 12 hours a day, have a time to learn such unnecessary skills, if I could get a meat by simply buying in the market?

Anyway, knowing that I cannot hunt animals, I can only play it safer. The island while uninhibited was very rich in natural resources. Naturally there were a bunch of trees and plants around, so searching fruits wasn't hard, the problem is to determine what's edible or not.

But oh well, its not that I have a choice, I can only hope that non of them was Poisonous.

I grab a purple fruit from the stash i collectied, observing a bit, it was palm sized big, perfect sphere, shinny texture, simply out of the world, like really I've never seen such a fruit in my life. But oh well. I took a bit and waited for a while.

"It sour." I commented as my faced twisted still, i persist as I'm very hungry.

...

"Sigh, this is really crazy." I mumbled as i recall those of memories. This world was very similar to my world.

I even thought that maybe I time travel if not for a strange fruit I found a day ago.

"Sigh, I'm still alone even after leaving that place... but well its still better." I shook my head as I turn around and start waking towards my makeshift shelter.

It was made of trunks and leaves, it sucks but it could do the work.

"Now what to do with this fruit?" I contemplated while looking at the fruit before me. It was a strange fruit, something that I haven't seen before, it was a black and white with strange patterns.

I have an idea but it was crazy, but then again reincarnation was also crazy so its not that impossible.

"Devil fruit huh? I guess I can only take a gamble." I mumbled and took a bit on it.
