17 Reverse Mountain

(Sorry guys for the slow updates, I have been busy lately with my internship so I don't find a lot of time to write chapters)

The battlefield was silence for a moment, and everybody was looking at me in shock, then suddenly the pirates started bursting with energy and their moral was boosted by my victory. On the oppose the marine's moral got dropped heavily from their Commodore defeat and death.

"YEAHH!!"

"THAT'S WHAT YOU GET YOU MARINE DOGS!!!"

Even though my victory had huge effect on the battlefield the battle was still far from finished. After the slight celebration the marines and engaged again and the battle continued where it left.

My battle with Asahori depleted my stamina to the bottom but I still had some energy to fight.

"You Bastard killed Commodore Asahori, we'll make you pay!" The lower ranking marines surrounded the area with their weapons aimed at me.

"I would like to see you try" I said confidently.

When the marines saw the murder of their superior, they got angry and came charging at me in high numbers, but thanks to my logia fruit their attacks were useless and didn't hurt me at all, and I proceeded to use the Rankyaku to target them all in one attack.

After a few minutes they were all lying dead on the ground.

I started observing the ongoing battles from a distance.

"Looks like everyone is busy with their own fight" I looked around for a bit before I my eyes landed on Calvin who was fighting a marine captain.

"This should be interesting" I moved closer to him.

he had two bullet wounds and some cuts and bruises around his body as for his opponent he wasn't in a better state.

Calvin was using Soru to close the distance between them and Shigan to attack.

"*CLANG *-*CLANG *-*CLANG *" his opponent defended using his sword and proceeded to back away.

"One Sword Style!...Whirlwind Cut!" The marine captain sent a projectile sword attack that was followed by wind gush in a spiral shape.

Calvin used Tekkai to harden his right arm and redirected the attack which proceeded to fly to another direction and hit a group of marines and pirates that were fighting.

"*BOOM!*" After that he immediately charged at the Captain using Soru and grabbed his head and proceeded to headbutt him but before their head touched he used Tekkai.

"ARRGGHH!!!!" The captain screamed in pain and looked shaken and dizzy, he then started bleeding from his head. Calvin took the opportunity and started throwing a barrage of attacks on him until he couldn't stand on his feet anymore and collapsed on the ground drowning in his blood.

"Nice one!" I said then approached him.

"Ashen! You're here" He looked tired, but he was still able to stand "Quiet the show you put up out there!" he complemented my fight.

"Good fight, you also became much stronger that before"

"Well not as much as you. Anyway, it looks like the battle is still going on" he looked around the battlefield for a bit "What should we do?" he asked me.

"We could take the opportunity and escape" I thought about it for a bit "But it's kind of pathetic to escape and leave these guys behind"

"Well, I still have some energy to fight" he said to me, then we started supporting the other pirates in the fight.

(Third Person Pov),

Seth Williams was pushing back Captain Suzuki using his fast thrust attacks while Suzuki was defending using his sword by either deflecting the attacks or avoiding them.

After Seth finished his attack, he fired a bullet at Suzuki using his pistol which the later tried to dodge but still got hit in the upper shoulder.

"Damn it!" Suzuki was barely able to stand, and the bullet wounds made it worse, same with Seth they were both tired from the continuous fight and the loss of blood caused by injuries.

After a few more minutes of clashing, they were both at their limits without having a clear winner, until Suzuki got distracted when he saw Ashen beating and killing his men just after he killed his superior.

"ASHEEEEN!! YOU FUCKER!!" He screamed his lungs out.

"What are you looking at?" Seth took the chance to deliver a fatal attack.

"Shit!!" Suzuki realized his mistake, but it was too late to avoid it and Seth managed to stab him directly in the heart.

Suzuki fell dead in his place right away.

"Damn it, what a pathetic way to win" Seth was disappointed at his victory as he wouldn't have managed to kill his opponent if it wasn't for the distraction.

Somewhere on the battlefield,

Aela was struggling in her fight as she was outnumbered and surrounded by enemies until Ashen interfered when he saw her.

"HIGAN!" He used fire bullets to clean the weaker soldiers then he flew using Geppo and sent down multiple Rankyaku attacks which managed to destroy the marine's formation and created chaos that Aela took advantage of.

She quickly started cutting her way through them until she reached Captain Merumi and engaged with him again.

Aela was efficient at using her Katana and her attacks carried a strong weight and perfect technique supported by good footwork that made her a formidable opponent for someone like Merumi.

They both fought on equal terms at first but as the fight dragged on Merumi started losing his touch and his techniques weren't as perfect as they were at the start, but on the oppose it Aela stayed consistent on the entire fight due to her strong foundation she kept fighting at the same level even after getting tired and injured.

(First Person Pov),

While she was fighting, I was making sure to prevent anyone from interfering, and after a while she finally managed to overpower him and won the fight it was at that moment when we saw marine reinforcements coming.

"They are really determined to arrest us here" I was looking at the ships coming in the direction of the island, I quickly let everyone know "MARINE REINFORCEMENTS!!" When they heard me everyone turned back to look.

"It's reinforcement! We 're saved!" The marine moral got boosted when they saw their allies coming for their rescue.

"We just need to hold them off a little longer!!" a marine shouted.

"Alright party is over!" I said then the pirates started retreating.

"Let's leave this before they arrive!" Aela ordered her crew to retreat.

"Okay!"

"Itsu, gather everyone, we're leaving" Seth also ordered his crew members and started retreating.

"Don't let them escape!" The marines started fighting even more fiercely to buy time until the reinforcement arrive.

It's been a while after my fight against Asahori and I managed to recover some of my stamina "Not so fast!" I started gathering fire inside my mouth then I breathed it out into a huge, conical blast toward the marines.

"*EXPLOSION*" The marines got blasted by my attack and left us an opportunity to retreat.

I flew to Calvin's position using Geppo and we went to find Ken together.

"Ken!" when we arrived, we saw him engaging with some marines in a gun fight while taking cover behind a building he was also being supported by the girl from before. The girl had a flawless aim and managed to headshot the marines every time.

'She also had a great aim when I fought against her before' With our help we managed to quickly get rid of them.

"Captain! Thank you for helping I thought I was a goner" he sighed I relief and thanks me, the girl just stood back there without saying a word.

"This is not the time let's go back to the ship quickly!" I said to him in hurry, and he nodded in understanding.

"What about her?" he asked me, I would've liked to recruit her as our sniper, but this wasn't the right time, and I don't think she would even accept.

"Just leave her let's go!" I said then we left without delay.

"WAIT!!" The girl called me, we I turned around I saw her running after us.

"WAIT!...Can you take me with you?" She asked me.

"Why do you want to go with us?" I questioned her motives.

"Just until your next stop…I really can't escape and survive by my own" she said. She looked desperate.

I thought about it for a second 'I don't mind her sailing with us for a while, I might manage to convince her to join us' I made up my mind then gave her an answer.

"Alright we'll drop you off on the next island" I said to her, then her face instantly glowed up.

"Thank you!" She thanked me in relief, and we proceeded to retreat toward the port.

The town was in chaos, they were people fighting everywhere and dead bodies all over the place.

"Hey! Demon of The Sea!" When we arrived at the port near our ship, I heard someone calling me. When I turned back, I saw Aela and her crew.

"Thank for helping back there, I owe you one" She said then proceeded to board her ship on the opposite side "But next time we meet, we will be enemies!" she stated.

Seth and his crew also managed to arrive at the port, but they were followed by marines.

"This Idiot!" I quickly jumped on the sky and turned my fist into flames and lunched a dense column of fire at them.

"FIRE FIST!" The attack was enough to take care of them.

"Don't expect me to thank you for this, Demon of The Sea" he said to me in aggressive tone then proceeded to board his ship along with his crew.

"Here They are, don't let escape!" the marines started flowing the porting one after the other.

"SET SAIL!" I gave order and Ken immediately started steering the ship away. The marines started shooting us with their guns.

"What's your name?" I asked the girl. She was standing near Ken.

"I'm Diana" she replied. I approached her and handed her a rifle.

"Since you are on this ship, you're considered part of this crew" She took the rifle "You could help us by taking out those marines" She checked the weapon for a second then replied.

"Easy" she stated then immediately turned back to the port and started aiming the rifle using both of her hands.

She took a deep breath then started shooting.

"*GUNSHOT*…" She managed to headshot someone on the first try.

"*GUNSHOT*…" She also killed the second one with ease.

"*GUNSHOT*…"

"*GUNSHOT*…"

"*GUNSHOT*…"

'Holly shit, I didn't think she's that good, how the hell did we never hear about someone like her in the anime before?' I thought in my head.

After we got further from the port, she stopped shooting.

"Your shooting skills are impressive!" I praised her.

"Well, I trained with fire weapons since I was a kid" she told me then she put the weapon away and sat on the deck's surface.

"How did you get a hold on guns at that age?" she looked at me for a second then answered my question.

"My father was a marine soldier and he used to teach me how to fight" I was surprised since she was just killing marines a moment ago.

"I know what you are thinking, but I have my reasons I don't really want to talk about it specially with stranger" She stated.

"You don't have to say anything if you don't want to" I said to her.

"Captain! The marine ships changed their course, and they started following us!" Ken informed me. They were two other ships sailing near us, they belonged to Seth and Aela.

"Are they also going there?"

"What do you mean?" Calvin asked me.

"Reverse mountain"

"What is that?" he asked me with a curious face.

"It's the way to enter the Grand Line" I said with a smile.

"Finally, I'm excited to see it for myself!" Calvin looked fired up and excited.

"I'm sure we'll have fun"

"We are in their range of fire!" Ken informed while steering the ship away from them.

"*CANNON SHOT*…*CANNON SHOT*" The marines started shooting us with their canons.

"Just steer the ship, I'll take care of the cannon balls" I said to ken then I used Geppo to fly out of the ship and then I shot my flames toward the cannon balls flying our direction which caused them to explode in mid sky.

As for Seth and Aela their ships took some damage, but it wasn't serious.

"*BOOOM*-*BOOOM*-*BOOOM*" I kept protecting the ship until we finally reached reverse mountain.

"WOW!!" Aela and everyone on the ship including me looked surprised at the sight. We couldn't believe that the water could flow upward, it was a beautiful view.

"Alright take us up there!" when I said that everyone turned their head to me with a weird face.

"You can't be serious…" Ken said to me nervously.

"Don't let me repeat myself!" I gave him a serious look.

"O-Okay" we sailed directly to it, and the other ships were also sailing behind us. I went to the back of the ship and shouted at the direction of Seth and Aela.

"DON'T DIE BEFORE YOU MAKE IT TO THE GRAND LINE" I said to them mockingly.

"SHUT UP YOU BASTARD! DON'T GET COCKY!" Seth replied.

"YOU BETTER WACH YOUR BACK! OR I'LL SURPASS YOU IN NO TIME!" Aela stated.

When the ship started sailing upward, I shot my flames from the back of the sip to create shockwave to push us upward.

"AAAHHHHHH!!" x2. Ken and Diana were screaming in fear while Calvin was calmly holding the ships mast.

Once we reached the top of the mountain, we got swept by the current, but Ken managed to get us in the right track and then we went down this time.

"AAAAHHHHH!!!-*BOOOOOM!!!*…" We finally managed to safely land on the sea again.

"HAHAHAHA, What a fun experience!" I laughed in excitement.

"It was fun" Calvin said calmly while he pulled his wet hair back.

"Phew!…You guys are crazy!" Diana said while lying on the ground.

"…Captain, tell me we don't have to do that again!" Ken was catching his breath while leaning his back on the ship's mast.

"You guys are no fun" I said to them.

"*BOOOOM!!*… *BOOOOM!!*" After a few minutes two more ships landed.

"Looks Like They also made it"
