7 7. Siege Walls going down. Unexpected people interfering in top level fights.

│3rd Person POV│

[Marineford, War of the Best…]

"Jinbe, dive below the ice and use Buraikan (Vagabond Drill) to break the support structure of the Siege Walls. If you managed to do enough damage, the Siege Walls would likely fall back into the water."

"Alright, Ace. Thanks for the help! I am feeling like we are not the one who came to rescue you. Instead, you were the one who orchestrated this whole fiasco from behind the scenes. Hahaha!!"

After saying his piece Jinbe promptly ended the connection and turned toward Luffy.

However, he found that Luffy was missing from his side.

After looking around, he found him trying to climb over the walls using the guns slotted into the walls.

Knowing that he didn't have the time to convince Luffy about the futility of his efforts, Jinbe turned his gaze toward Ivankov and said, "Ivankov-san, I am going underwater to see if I could do something about the Siege Walls.

"In the meantime, I hope you can keep Luffy-kun safe."

"Huh?! Yeah, okay. You can leave Strawhat Boy to me. By the way, where did he go?" Ivankov replied in the affirmative only to find out that Luffy wasn't anywhere near him.

Jinbe sweatdropped for a second before pointing out Luffy's location.

Then, he coated his right leg with Armament Haki and used one of his techniques to break the Ice footing below him.

"Fishman Karate: Samegawara Mawashigeri! (Shark Tile Roundhouse Kick!)"

After creating a hole big enough to fit five of himself, Jinbe was just about to dive into the water when he noticed Namur from the corner of his eyes.

'Maybe he could help me in some way.' Such a thought sprung up in Jinbe's mind as he called out loudly, "Namur-san, can you lend me a hand for a moment?"

Namur was rushing along with the other Commanders towards the Siege Walls when he heard Jinbe's call.

He turned toward Jinbe and thought, 'Might as well. I don't think I would be of much help in taking down the Siege Walls by going with the others.'

While running in the direction of Jinbe, he looked over his shoulders and shouted, "Guys, I will be back in a minute."

"Come back soon, Namur!"

Some answered back immediately while some just waved their hands to indicate that it was fine.

"Please follow me." Jinbe said solemnly before jumping into the hole he made on the Ice footing.

Without any hesitation, Namur swiftly followed suit.

After swimming for a few seconds, they reached the area that Jinbe found was suitable for attacking.

He then turned toward Namur and said, "I am going to keep using a Fishman Karate move to try and break down the structures supporting the Siege Walls below the water.

"Can you make sure that no one disturbs me in the meantime?"

At first, Namur's eyes grew wide as he listened to Jinbe's plan. Then, he grew extremely excited thinking that the solution to the Siege Walls was right in front of him.

He enthusiastically nodded while saying, "You can place your trust in me, Jinbe. Even at the cost of my life, I won't let anything disturb you as long as you can take down the Siege Walls."

"Alright! I'm ready whenever you are." Jinbe replied in response.

Namur gave him a thumbs up before backing up slightly and started surveying their surroundings with extreme vigilance.

Jinbe closed his eyes and took some deep breaths to center himself.

Abruptly opening his eyes, he exclaimed strongly, "Fishman Karate Ogi: Buraikan!! (Secret Technique: Vagabond Drill!!)"

Whitebeard was just thinking of employing Oars Jr.'s help to take down the Siege Walls when he sensed intense vibrations from below the ice.

Once he investigated the situation with his Color of Observation, he smirked and locked eyes with Sengoku.

He just watched as Sengoku's face became red with anger once he also found out what the vibrations meant.

And there was nothing he could do to stop Jinbe.

All the three Admirals were Devil Fruit users. They couldn't go underwater and using long-range attacks would be futile.

Whitebeard would intercept their attacks, that was for sure. Even some Division Commanders like Marco, Jozu, etc. who were aware of the situation were ready for the Admirals to make a move.

In just a few minutes, the Siege Walls right in front of the execution platform started going down.

After seeing all his plans getting pulled apart by the enemy, Sengoku was trembling with rage. His rage further intensified once he noticed Ace smirking at him.

He wasted no time in issuing an order, "Proceed with Portgas D. Ace's execution!!"

The executioners that Ace knocked out previously were still out cold. So to compensate for them, two new executioners were brought to the platform.

Just after the Siege Walls went down, Luffy wasted no time in sprinting forward, coming face to face with the three Admirals.

This time, as there was no wreckage of ships due to Whitebeard successfully defending them from Akainu's attack, Luffy's hands were empty.

Even then, he didn't hesitate to attack them.

"Gomu Gomu no: Stamp Gatling!"

The Admirals didn't even bother to defend themselves facing Luffy's attacks. They just let their body elementalize to let his kicks pass through their body harmlessly.

After trying to attack them one more time, Luffy figured out that they must be similar to that Smokey guy. He immediately stopped trying to attack them.

"Gear Second!!"

Using Gear Second, he attempted to bypass them using his enhanced speed.

Though Kizaru easily sent him flying back near the frozen bay.

At this moment, the new pair of executioners also took their position beside, and upon getting Sengoku's order, they swung their blades toward Ace's neck.

Sengoku was also ready to take action at the first sign of any resistance from Ace.

However, he never expected the two executioners to get attacked by sand.

The Fleet Admiral immediately looked at the Sand Logia and said in disbelief, "You–!! I thought you would side with us because of your grudge against Whitebeard!!"

Everybody who saw the scene was as shocked as Sengoku.

With an impassive face, Crocodile replied, "I'll take care of the Old Man later. First, I want to wipe the smiles from your faces!!"

Suddenly, he sensed strings coated in black luster closing on his neck and he promptly separated his own head from his body before the strings could.

While he engaged in a battle with Doflamingo, Luffy was getting thrashed by Aokiji.

Fortunately, Marco came in time to save him.

At the same time, most of the Whitebeard pirates had already crossed the bay and reached the area in front of the execution platform.

With a quack bubble covering the blade of his Naginata, Whitebeard yelled, "Get down, my sons!!"

Immediately afterward, he swung the Naginata, sending a horizontal shockwave that sent most marines below the Vice Admiral rank.

"Alright men!! Destroy the Marines and save Ace."

Receiving Whitebeard's order, the crew members let out their own war cries before they started sprinting toward the execution platform.

Meanwhile, Whitebeard got ready to send another devastating attack. However, before he could complete his attack, Aokiji froze him completely, stopping his attack simultaneously.

After easily breaking out of the ice, Whitebeard stabbed Aokiji with his Naginata, which was coated with Armament Haki.

Although Aokiji already knew where Whitebeard was aiming with his Observation Haki. So, he dematerialized part of his chest to let the blade pass through without touching him.

Because of his old age and illness, Whitebeard was unable to use Emission, or else, the outcome would have been completely different than just a failed attack.

Suddenly, Jozu came running and barreled into Aokiji, sending him flying away from Whitebeard.

While eying Aokiji with an intense gaze, he said, "Go on, Pops! Leave him to me!"

"Yeah!"

On the other side, Luffy was attempting to bypass the various Rear Admirals and Vice Admirals who kept trying to stop him and reach the execution platform.

Even after getting beaten by numerous marines, he kept getting up, only to once again get sent flying toward Whitebeard by Kizaru.

"Ooohh…! Whitebeard, it looks like things aren't going too well for you! After all.. You are sending trash like that as your vanguard!!" Kizaru remarked lazily.

"There are you, Strawhat Boy! Over there, Jinbe!"

From behind Whitebeard, Ivankov came running with Jinbe on his toe.

After glancing at them, Whitebeard threw Luffy toward them while muttering about how he liked Luffy's character.

Meanwhile, Marco attempted to fly to the execution once the Admirals were not focused on him only to get punched back by Garp from midair.

The Marines cheered loudly once they saw Garp the Hero joining the fray.

Seeing that some of the crew were getting intimidated by this, Whitebeard promptly declared, "Don't get caught up in his name! He's just another old marine!"

Garp only let out a small chuckle in response.

"You're from the same age! Keep your eyes on the enemy in front of you!!"

Akainu and Whitebeard once began exchanging blows with the former trying his best to limit the damage the latter was doing to the island itself.

Suddenly, Whitebeard grabbed his chest and kneeled over. While coughing violently, he cursed his old and weak body.

Akainu didn't waste the golden opportunity as he promptly turned his right hand into magma while saying in a mocking tone, "Even you can't overcome old age, Whitebeard!!"

At the same time, Marco, while fighting against Kizaru, noticed Whitebeard's condition.

As he attempted to rush toward him, he showed his back to Kizaru and the Glint Glint Fruit user wasted no time in demonstrating why it was foolish to show your back to an enemy.

This also resulted in Jozu getting distracted from his fight against Aokiji. The Ice Admiral took the opportunity to try and freeze his opponent completely.

Akainu meanwhile drove his magma hand into Whitebeard's chest.

Astonishingly, none of the Admirals' attacks connected.

Right before Whitebeard, Jozu, and Marco were about to get hit with their attacks, a strange blue hue enveloped the surroundings.

Shifting their attention toward the area in front of the frozen bay, they saw that in addition to Whitebeard, Marco, and Jozu, another person was kneeling just behind them.

"Surgeon of Death, Trafalgar Law!"

A nearby Vice Admiral, Onigumo, who had been paying attention to the situation exclaimed in surprise.

At this moment, Marco came to his senses and immediately started checking on Whitebeard.

As the second in command of an Emperor of the Sea, he had sufficient knowledge about the so-called Super Rookies of the Worst Generation.

He easily figured out how exactly the three of them were teleported out of their previous position.

However, it was more important for him to check Whitebeard's condition now than express his gratitude to Law.

On the other hand, Jozu was not a doctor and he knew he couldn't do anything to make Whitebeard's condition better.

So, he focused on the young man kneeling over in exhaustion behind them, "You have my thanks, young man."

Huff~ Huff~ Huff~

Law was so exhausted that he turned over and lay down on the spot while breathing heavily.

Only after a few moments did he give a response to Jozu, "I don't need your thanks. I'm just completing my part of the deal. I hope you guys will complete yours when the time comes."

Jozu was confused upon hearing Law's words.

Before he could question Law about what he meant, he heard a childish word from Whitebeard's direction, "Old man, don't resist my power! I'm going to make you younger!"
