Chapter 2: My Childhood Friend

The only way I can track the event of the world is through this sea-gull called News Coo.

It sells newspapers and what was written inside is the event that happened and what was happening to the world.

More specifically, news about the World of Pirates, Marines and the Revolutionaries and small details all around the world, are covered in this newspaper.

Sooner or later, my beings will become part of this news. I can't wait but at the same time, worried. I don't understand this excitement and upset I am feeling right now.

Anyhow, in accordance to the news I'm reading, I reckon I'm in a world far from the main timeline. Maybe less than 3 to 5 years or so?

I don't know the exact year, actually, but because the current Admirals are still the element trio; light, ice and lava namely Kizaru, Aokiji and Akainu successively, it's safe to assume that my guess is somehow correct.

And right now, I want to venture the sea, enter the grand line and start my own adventure.

But because I lack firepower, experience, and my ship is still under construction. I have to slow things down for a bit. I am excited but I want to grow first and foremost.

And that is what I'm about to do right now.

Because, I'm at the edge of Aegis Island, waiting...

"You've come, at last, I thought I'll be waiting for ages" is what I said after noticing the gaits whose walking towards my direction and is waving.

"Of course we've come! If its adventure with you, we're ready to charge forward!"

"Hehe, this is the first time you've summoned us. I too am excited to go there"

One of them points his finger at the red earthen border not far from our island. "Yes, We're going to train in that place and return stronger. Are you ready?" I followed up with smile.

I talk to them in advance so my guess is that they'll come for sure. After all, in this world. Who doesn't want adventure?

And just like me, these two young men along with Jiyah are hungry for adventure, wanting to become stronger, thus they believed that this is one step to achieve their future goal.

Just like everyone, these two has their own individual goal. I don't recall how but I'm sure they have their own.

Anyway, as we boarded on a small boat, I was surprised. No, not just me but also the other two young man. Because inside this cramped boat, We've become four person?

"Wait, Why four!?" it was the thin man that frantically stands up which momentarily tilt our boat to the side, wearing a backpack and above it rests is his beloved fishing rod. His name is Jirod.

"Hey, relax! You bastard! If it sink Sky couldn't swim!" the second one on the other hand, has mighty biceps and broad shoulder, befitting that of a veteran wrestler but contrary to his build has his gentle look, but this time he looks at Jirod in annoyance akin of punching the latter. This guy is none other than Jarvan. Thanks for reminding me that I might drown though, brother.

Anyway, before the fourth person open her lips, I already rebalance our boat, so it ends well as the boat departs.

"You three, you always leave me behind! Humpf!" With crossed arms, Jiyah puffed up her cheeks whose seating behind mine.

Out of us four, everyone can say that this three were handsome and beautiful in one glance, while I am their 'shadow' who has an intimidating sharp gaze and uncanny appearance.

It is one of the two reason why this three along with me were called, [Three Miracle of Aegis and the Shadow]. That was me, their shadow. Not that I care where this sobriquet came from as I am not the past Sikorsky they're talking about, anyway.

Nevertheless, the second reason is because this three is said to be the strongest and the most talented in our generation.

And the Acrobat, Jirah

The trio who to defeat the Sea King who happens to passed by a year ago and made a name for themselves by apprehending it, that was them.

This, is the sole reason why I didn't look for any talented individual in our island anymore but bring them all along, instead. It might be fate that the past me is befriended with them.

I'm sure that the future that this three will become the last bastion of hope of our island, if by chance or I happen to, of course unintentionally, pissed the world government off. Especially the scum Celestial Dragons. Thus to have two birds with one stone, I have to increase they're survivability at the very least while at the same time, increases my firepower.

Although in this world I fear no man, I am but a normal human who love what I currently have, that's why I am here to train my ability and become stronger than anyone, but at the same time, afraid that my only connection and affection in this world would get erased. And that is not what I wish for to happen.

"Don't worry, I didn't tell you two because as you can see, Jiyah has more complicated family background compare to any of us" I stopped that negative thoughts and explain the two that reprimands Jiyah.

Unlike the two who grew into a healthy, fine but lowkey family who is a fisherman and a soldier. Jiyah on the other hand is the only daughter of the Aegis Island's mayor and the future mayor following his track.

It is close to impossible how we've become a childhood friend because of our family standings but it'll thanks to my father who connects our family together.

Although he looks like that, father is quite friendly not because he's popular as the owner of Rotor Company and renowned mechanic but because he's just that, maybe his inherent ability as a person? Friendly and easy to talk to. I guess?

Anyway, return to the topic.

Because this trio is the strongest out there I can have, I feel relieved and is looking to see their strength in action.

It was then that before we know it, we've already arrived at the red mountain's foot.

For many, this red line is mystery. But for us who lived near here, this place brings adventure.

Not only us but people happens to "fro and to" in this area.

Whether it was goods, mineral or wood. This place is one part where Rotor Company takes their material for their later use.

"Owu, boss, you've come!" After arriving, one of the guard welcomed us four.

"Hello mister, we're going above"

"Yes Boss, Boss Apache informed us in advance"

Indeed, I informed my father that we'll visit this place today so the Rotor Company immediately guided us.

"Thank you" I nodded

This place is kind of a constructing area or a gold mine, while above is another area where woodlands and highlands are located. Trees grew from everywhere but the Rotor Company, ever since then, created a way to reached the top of the red line faster and more efficient than anyone or anything.

Using the Eve Wood that produced the bubble and the tree itself, adding with the mechanical knowledge of my ancestor, they've came up an idea of the elevator.

Using the close to indestructible Adam Wood comparable that to a metal, adding the technology created by the Rotor Company, they uses it as the foothold or a cart to blasts us off unto the top of the red line in no time.

Well of course, you should have to fasten your seat belt, lest something you don't want to happen will arise. For example, throwing up.

10,000 kilometers

It is the highest point where the land of Red Line are located and there, one can contact new civilization. Or so according to my memory.

Not everyone has the knowledge about it but Red Line is one of many ways how one can enter into the White Sea! Although vivid, I recall fragments of memory of former Sikorsky.

"This is the first time we're going into an adventure together!" Even with his cheek that is pressing downward, it didn't stop Jirod from talking with exhilarated face.

Though all of us happen to visit what's above the Red Line, it is but only in a memory of less than a 5 year old child.

And now? We've go there because of the call of adventure!

Just kidding, I go there to ready for the future sea adventure. Just that, I also wanted to increase the fighting capability of mine and my friend. Also, going solo is boring af.

Anyway, let's go! Red Line, here I come!
