207 Instantly Knocking Zoro

Chapter 207: Instantly Knocking Zoro

"That marine is coming!"

Usopp, who was running at full speed, suddenly exclaimed. He saw Solo didn't stop to rest after defeating Hawkeye Mihawk and instead rushed towards them. It felt like they were back in the Florian Triangle.

Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, and the others quickly noticed this too. A sense of unease filled their hearts. While they had hoped that Mihawk would help them deal with the marine, the reality turned out to be the opposite. Even Mihawk, renowned as the world's greatest swordsman, couldn't match Solo's strength.

"If he catches up, we're in trouble," Sanji gasped.

The thought of Solo's terrifying power weighed heavily on them. No matter how many pirates tried to confront Solo, the difference in strength was too vast. No one could stop Solo.

"You guys go ahead," Zoro suddenly spoke up.

"Zoro?!" Nami and Chopper were taken aback by Zoro's decision. Judging by his stance, it seemed like he wanted to face Solo head-on. But even Mihawk couldn't defeat Solo, let alone Zoro. Charging in like this, Zoro...would be risking his life.

However, they didn't expect Luffy to say, "Go for it, Zoro."

Though Luffy knew in his heart that Solo was incredibly strong, he could only respect Zoro's resolve. He believed in Zoro, just as he believed in his other crewmates.

"Alright, leave it to me," Zoro nodded, adjusted his breathing, and moved towards Solo.

Chopper, Nami, and Usopp stood frozen, unable to comprehend what was happening.

"Don't worry," Sanji said, watching Zoro's back. He, too, chose to trust in his comrade.

"If it's Zoro, he'll be fine. Besides, Zoro has a chance to win," Sanji took a deep breath and voiced his thoughts.

"That marine is undoubtedly strong. But those who challenge him are also the strongest in these waters. At this point, he might not have much stamina left. Most importantly, Zoro's goal isn't to defeat him. He just needs to delay him for some time."

According to Sanji, as long as Zoro could buy them some time, he should be able to accomplish it. After all... Zoro's aim was to become the world's greatest swordsman. How could he fall here? He would never give up!

"Let's go! Let's save Ace!" Sanji shouted.

In times like these, their faith needed to be stronger than ever. Zoro's determination mustn't go to waste.

Meanwhile, Solo's speed was incredibly fast. Even if the pirates tried to stop him, they couldn't do anything. He moved through the battlefield of Marineford like an empty field, swiftly cutting down pirates. It was as if he was a sharp sickle harvesting a wheat field.

Seeing Solo's performance, many pirates trembled even more. They couldn't understand why the Marine Headquarters possessed such a terrifying swordsman. He was like a secret weapon—unbelievably powerful.

"No matter how many times I see it, I'm still amazed by that marine's swordsmanship," Zoro couldn't help but complain inwardly.

Apart from his own Wado Ichimonji, the rest of his weapons were ordinary swords he had taken from the Marines. It barely made up for his three-sword style. However, it was still far from enough. During their encounter in the Florian Triangle, Solo had even sliced through Zoro's Sandai Kitetsu and Yubashiri.

"Huh?"

Soon, Solo also noticed that Zoro had come to a halt. He stood there, staring at Solo with unwavering eyes, as if saying, "I will stop you."

Observing this, Solo gradually slowed down. Less than ten meters separated him from Zoro before he finally came to a stop.

"Sorry, Marine. This path won't work," Zoro said, raising the corner of his mouth. He gripped his sword with one hand and faced Solo directly.

Since the events in the Florian Triangle, Zoro hadn't relaxed for a moment. No... He had dedicated himself even more to honing his swordsmanship. Now he had grown stronger than before. Even if he still couldn't match Solo's power, he could at least delay him until Luffy rescued Ace.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

In an instant, Zoro swiftly drew his three swords from their sheaths. Two swords were held in his hands, while the third was clenched between his teeth. Three visible slashes shot straight toward Solo.

Even though Zoro knew he was outmatched, he resolutely chose to fight!

Bang!

Solo swiftly raised his black blade, Kuina, in front of his chest and deflected Zoro's slashes one by one. Despite Zoro's strength, his speed appeared surprisingly slow to Solo's eyes, resembling a slideshow.

However...

Solo had no interest in getting entangled with Zoro at the moment. His target was Luffy. If he could eliminate Luffy, no one would be able to get close to Ace.

"Instant Slash!"

Zoro wasn't given a second chance to attack. In an instant, Solo appeared behind Zoro, faster than anyone could perceive.

Zoro's eyes widened, his nerves on edge, but he couldn't see Solo's movements clearly.

"This guy, when… In the blink of an eye."

Gulp.

Zoro swallowed nervously, sensing an ominous foreboding.

In the next moment, before Zoro could react, dozens of slashes materialized out of thin air, tearing through his body. His sword shattered, disintegrating like petals, and his top was ripped apart, revealing his sturdy muscles. Cracks formed, oozing blood that splattered across the sky like a blooming butterfly.

Even with his resolve to die, Zoro failed to stop Solo. He couldn't even delay him. The difference in strength between them was incomparable.

Despair.

Solo's swordsmanship was so overwhelming that it instilled despair in those who witnessed it.

Even Zoro couldn't comprehend it.

Why... was there such an enormous gap between him and Solo?

What kind of swordsmanship monster was Solo?

As for Solo, he didn't even spare a glance for Zoro; he continued his pursuit of Luffy.
