8 Helped by Red to making my escape

Marineford was in ruin as flare's attack shook the entire island. The gura-gura was the strongest paramecia and it's destructive capabilities were off the charts. The tremors caused all the marines to back up and retreat.

Sengoku: "How does he have 2 devil fruit powers? This makes him even more dangerous, especially since it's whitebeard's devil fruit. This is geting out of hand, he can't be allowed to escape. He's already killed an admiral which is punishable by death."

Sengoku jumped down and ran towards aokiji and kizaru who were stilling fighting my clones as he helped them to defeat them with a surprise attack. Even though they took out the clones, they were still damaged by the clones strength and abilities. One of the clones even gave sengoku a ryou and hassoken infused kick to the chin before he dispelled which damaged his chin and jaw. He saw flare slightly huffing as he was almost fully drained now so he decided to attack. His body started glowing golden as his body started to grow in size. Soon his entire body turned into a giant golden budda as he jumped towards flare.

Flare saw this and gathered up some more strength. He didn't use armament haki or ryou but he only used the gura-gura plus hassoken as his haki reserves were running low due to his heat level 3 and 4. Those form rapidly eat through his haki reserves so he doesn't like to use them for too long.

Sengoku: "Golden Shockwave!"

Flare countered with his own fist as they collided in a massive explosion that sent the earth flying as their collision even caused a tsumani to form. Soon their clash ended with both of them being blown away from each other but flare was sent further away than sengoku due to his slight fatigue. He quickly caught his footing as he came to a stop and looked to seeing the remaining 2 admirals beside sengoku.

Flare: "Well this ain't looking too good, I guess it time to make my escape but I need a good opening."

Flare was about to run when a monstrous conquerors haki swept through the battlefield. Everyone who was weak suddenly lost consciousness as even vice admirals besides garp were on their knees. Flare also felt this haki and looked behind him, he felt a smile craw on his face as he noticed the new comer. A tall man with red hair hanging down his face jumped from a ship that was approaching and landed close behind flare, he was wearing a long black jacket along with brown shorts. His eyes surveyed the battlefield as he walked slowly towards flare, as he arrived beside flare he began to speak.

Shanks: "This war has only brought losses on both sides and continuing to fight will only bring more deaths. If anyone wants to continue fighting then I will be your opponent."

Suddenly shanks' entire crew appeared behind us, smiling as the looked at the battlefield. Flare smiled as this was his ticket to leaving. He knew that shanks would arrive as he watched it in the anime but he also sensed him coming for a couple minutes since he could sense up to 10 km away from him.

Sengoku: "Red hair, what is your purpose for coming here?"

Shanks: "To stop this war, have a problem with that?"

Sengoku: "The one beside you is the only one we want now since ace and strawhat luffy escaped. He's the one responsible so it's him we're after so don't get involved."

Shanks: "Mhmm, I will fight for him since he helped ace and luffy. Are you willing to start a war with me?"

Sengoku: "Damn it! Just this one time red hair, I'll let you get away with it this one time. Marines....THIS WAS IS OVER!!!!"

Flare looked at shanks with a thankful look. He was strong, even with just one arm he could match kaido and even garp. If he had both hands then he would be on par with garp. According to astaroth, he and kaido were at (Peak of Beyond Yonko) and garp was at (Low pirate king) which was one sublevel above them but if he had the other hand then it would push him up a sublevel on garp's level.

Flare: "I owe you one shanks, my names Gol D. Flare, nice to meet you."

Shanks: "Gol D. Flare? You related to captain roger?"

Flare: "Yea, he was my uncle. That's one of the reasons why the marines want me so much along with freeing ace... oh and I killed that lava guy."

Beckman: "You killed akainu? HAAAAAAAA! That's hilarious. Fucking dog was finally put down this time."

Shanks: "HAHAHA! We should meet up sometime but for now you should leave. We will meet again in the future, I'd love to share some stories about my captain and your dad. And yes I met him a couple times, I never knew he had a son. Next time we'll talk more."

Flare: "Thanks again, I would love to take you up on that offer. See you later."

Flare jumped into the air as he entered his hybrid form and started flying away into the horizon. As he flew further the took out his ship from his inventory as he landed in it and de-transformed. As he did so he landed on his back as he started breathing heavily. He was exhausted as he had used up all of his haki and energy reserves. He was also hungry.... very, very hungry. He felt like he hasn't eaten for weeks even though he ate before he entered the war. He quickly bought some grilled streak with mashed potatoes and ate it in just a couple minutes. It barely made him feel less hungry so he just started buying all sorts of different foods including pancakes, fried and barbequed chicken, beef, noodles, pizza, and he even bought ice cream with whipped cream and sprinkles as dessert. After he was done eating he bought some juice to wash it down then he bought a bottle of green apple vodka. He took out a glass as he started pouring himself some vodka as he sat down in a chair.

Flare: "Oh that food hit the spot, Astaroth let me see anything that I got."

Suddenly flare felt a burning sensation in his body, spirt and mind. New powers flowed in his body as his mind and soul slowly got more powerful to accommodate the new powers. Soon he opened his eyes as he felt lighter than before, he could feel the water around the boat and he felt as if he could control it without much effort. He loved this feeling... the feeling of getting stronger.

Flare: "Astaroth, show me my stats."

Flare: "I'm decently powerful but I still need better mastery over haki, Gol D. Roger became the pirate king without a devil fruit and used only haki and swordsmanship. Once I master haki completely then I will stand above the world."

Flare began to think back and realized that he hadn't set any personal goals as yet. He wanted to do something big to introduce himself to the world which he had accomplished by saving ace but now he had his own goals to make. He sat there for about half of an hour before he suddenly smiled.

He stood up and started laughing as a terrifying pressure burst out of him, it caused the clear afternoon weather to suddenly become cloudy as thunder and lightning filled the sky. The waves began to get even bigger as this pressure even slightly started cracking the ship. He finally realized why his conquerors haki was so slow when compared to his other haki, he didn't have a dream or a goal to accomplish. To fully use conquerors haki, one must have a goal and strive towards that goal, giving it their all. They must have a will so strong that it causes others to tremble in their presence. The users should also be fearless of everything as fear affects one's willpower.

The reason he wanted to save ace was because that was the one thing that he thought shouldn't have happened. All the effort in the war just for him to die anyways, it was really sad to see luffy literally losing his mind after he died so he just wanted to correct oda's one mistake. He didn't have a goal at first due to just being asked some random questions then teleported away. He honestly thought the words above his head was either a hallucination or just the effects of the vodka he had the night before. He thought about everything he knew about the one piece world and thought about what he wanted to do.

Flare: "I don't want to be pirate king, honestly sounds boring but I would want to be a king. I just want to live as I want, without restrictions. Luffy can rule the seas, I just want a lady to keep me company.... maybe 2...who knows?"

Flare: "Astaroth can you point me in the direction of Amazon lily?"

Flare: "Good, at least I was on the right path, I should get there in couple hours. I realize that I need something to get me out of a tight spot, if shanks hadn't shown up then I might have been toast. Astaroth, is there any teleportation abilities in the store?"

Flare: "That's really expensive but it's worth it. My observation haki can sense about 15 km around me so with this I can also teleport anywhere within 15 km. I can also teleport to any island once I visit there once which means super speed travelling, Buy it!"
