49 Headache

"Sigh~"

Shanks let out a dramatic sigh, taking a moment to gather himself. With a deep breath, he shook his head, attempting to shake off the lingering shock.

"Hey, Red-haired boy, when you swing by my ship, is it just for a headcount?" Whitebeard asked in his usual calm demeanor.

In response, Marco swiftly produced two large bowls, filling them to the brim. "Of course not!" Shanks replied, shaking his head. He grabbed a bowl, took a hearty gulp, and dove into questioning everything about the chaos at Marineford.

Whitebeard, being the open book he was, recounted the war story once more. "This this...," Shanks muttered, wide-eyed and dumbfounded.

As one of the Four Emperors, Shanks thought he had a handle on things, expecting, at most, a mildly surprising account of the intense battles. But Whitebeard's narrative left him utterly stunned.

Whitebeard had rushed to Impel Down, orchestrated a daring prison break, and united prisoners and Whitebeard Pirates for a full-frontal assault on Marineford. An assault, mind you!

Whitebeard's audacity and courage impressed Shanks beyond belief. "You're the only one pulling off such daring stunts and coming out on top in the whole wide world!" he exclaimed in awe.

Shanks knew the might of the Marines, and if it were anyone else, success would be a distant dream. Not even Kaido, Big Mom, or the Revolutionary Army could pull off such a feat. Even Shanks himself doubted his chances.

"Hahahaa~" Whitebeard chuckled, playing down his incredible achievements. "No big deal. Sengoku threw three Admirals at him to stop the old man, but they were no match!"

"Aokiji and Kizaru took a beating from one of the old man's punches!" Marco chimed in with pride. "And Akainu lost an arm and got tossed into the sea. We're not sure if he's fish food or not!"

Shanks, recovering from his initial shock, nearly spat out his drink at this revelation. Three Admirals, the pinnacle of the Marines, attacking Whitebeard together and failing miserably? It seemed like fiction, but the look on Marco's face confirmed it.

Wide-eyed, Shanks turned to Buggy for confirmation, silently asking, "Is this real?" Without a hint of doubt, Buggy nodded affirmatively.

"…" Shanks fell into a momentary silence, not because he questioned the truth but because he was too astounded to find words. Facing and defeating three Admirals single-handedly? He believed only Whitebeard could achieve such a feat, and now he was not just shocked but utterly amazed!

"Gurarara~"

Whitebeard chuckled heartily, dismissing the strength of the three Admirals. "Those boys might be strong, but they're still not enough," he remarked, taking a casual sip of his drink.

"Not enough?!" Shanks couldn't help but twitch at the corner of his mouth, thoroughly convinced by Whitebeard's nonchalant attitude. If even three Admirals weren't up to snuff, then who in the world could claim to be the strongest?

"Sighh~" Shanks took a deep breath, letting the shock settle. With Whitebeard confirmed safe and well-informed about the Marineford battle, there was no need for Shanks to linger any longer. He stood up, preparing to bid his farewell.

Observing Shanks rising, Whitebeard, as if suddenly remembering something, spoke up, "You must know Luffy, the straw hat. I suspect your lost arm is probably connected to him, am I correct?" He continued, "He's currently on my ship. Aren't you planning to meet him?"

"Luffy?" Shanks, now on the ship's bow, turned around with a hint of surprise on his face. After a brief moment, he shook his head. "Forget it, now is not the right time to meet."

"By the way, that kid Luffy can be quite impulsive. Since he's on your boat, please take care of him for me," Shanks requested.

"Sure," Whitebeard nodded, considering it a simple matter. Shanks had helped drive Kaido away from his territory, and Luffy played a crucial role in rescuing Ace, Whitebeard's younger brother.

"Then… farewell!" With that, Shanks leaped back to his ship, The Red Force.

As Shanks returned, the Red Hair Pirates gathered around him. "Captain, how is it?" they inquired.

"Whitebeard is indeed alive and back at his peak state!" Shanks declared solemnly.

"What?" The crew members were stunned. Shanks anticipated their reaction but chose to ignore it, proceeding to recount everything he had heard.

Benn Beckman and the others were utterly astonished. Bullet and the crew joining Whitebeard? Whitebeard fighting three Admirals alone? Sinking Marineford and escaping successfully?

"Captain, are you absolutely sure this is true?" Lucky Roo asked incredulously.

"Um!" Shanks nodded. The crew took a moment to process the information, then a collective sigh filled the air.

"Even though we don't have all the details, if this is true, the New World will definitely change dramatically!" Benn Beckman declared, his expression serious.

"Yes," Shanks agreed, gazing towards the endless sea. "I don't know if this change will bring good or bad outcomes or how Whitebeard will shape the course of history."

Whitebeard had returned to his peak, and with the news of the Marineford Summit War, he could potentially become the ruler of the entire world, shaping the course of history. The Red Hair Pirates contemplated the potential outcomes of this unprecedented turn of events.
