85 Yes, from now on this is...

Finding himself unable to continue fighting due to the wounds he had suffered and unable to defeat his enemies, Capone Bege had no choice but to accept the dubious surrender.

As proof of good faith... and because Fred forced him to do it under threat of a poisoned sword pointed at his neck… in order to begin negotiations, all of Bege's subordinates left their boss's interior, handed over their weapons and swore... without knowing that that oath was very dangerous... not to attack again

And now, after decompress a table, two chairs and two glasses that Fred had stored in one of his pockets, filling the glasses with sand and turning that sand into orange juice... Fred and Bege were ready to discuss the terms of Bege's surrender in a civilized and diplomatic way

"Your Akuma No Mi is very strange," Said Bege, who couldn't take his eyes off the orange juice that used to be sand.

"And you say that? A humanoid castle?" Fred answered before taking the first sip

"Is this poisoned?" Capone Bege asked, pointing to the orange juice of strange origin. A quite logical doubt considering the background of the person who offered it to him.

"If I wanted you dead I wouldn't resort to poison" Fred responded before taking another sip and clarifying in a threatening manner "You deserve much more attention from me."

"I feel flattered by that comment" Answered Bege, who even so, for caution didn't take a sip despite feeling quite thirsty. Instead he made a proposal "Would you prefer to discuss this matter in my castle?

It is much more comfortable there"

"Yes... and you can also manipulate the environment to attack me from all places

No thanks, we're fine here" Fred responded in a mocking…and threatening manner. "One more nonsense and I will force you to drink the poisoned juice."

"I had to try..." Bege responded, trying to remain calm despite having completely run out of options. 'This kid knows my powers too well...

How is it possible? I have always tried to be discreet and not leave too many witnesses...

Do I have a mole on my team?'

Although he tried to maintain a calm attitude, this situation was becoming too embarrassing, uncomfortable and humiliating for Capone Bege. As the head of one of the five families that controlled much of the Underworld in West Blue, he was used to being feared and respected. So much so that he almost always used to impose his conditions in negotiations even with bigwigs of the same level.

But now in front of all his men he was being subdued by a teenager who treated him like a nobody and was about to impose his conditions on him with no intention of negotiating.

'If I leave here alive, I will make you pay this humiliation a hundred times over in the future.'

But no matter how humiliating that situation was. His first and practically only priority was to get out of there alive, regardless of the cost or humiliation to which he would have to be subjected.

"Bege, I'm going to make you an offer that you won't be able to refuse" Said Fred, imitating and paraphrasing Marlon Brando in one of his most emblematic interpretations... before interpreting himself again "Perona, give him the contract"

"This...

I am in my spirit form, I don't carry it with me" Answered Perona helpless

"You don't even have as an spirit projection to play a joke on him when he tried to catch it?" Fred asked his trainee secretary once again, but faced with her refusal he had no choice but to apologize to his business partner "She can spiritualize her clothes and accessories, but not some papers in her pocket...

Akuma No My logic...

Anyway, here is the real contract"

Bege swallowed his anger at almost being subjected to another childish tease, but not only that. He also tasted a new form of humiliation after realizing that his enemy not only knew that he would come to attack him…

He had full confidence in defeating him easily and had also prepared a contract to plunder him after his overwhelming victory!

However, despite feeling overwhelmingly insulted, Bege bites the bullet and began reading what was probably his death certificate.

And he wasn't entirely wrong...

"Really?

Deliver to you right now all our current possessions except for clothing, food, medicines and utensils necessary for navigation!

AND...

DELIVER ALL OUR ASSETS TO YOU WITHIN A MAXIMUM PERIOD OF TWO MONTHS AND ABSOLUTELY CESSATION OF OUR MAFIOUS ACTIVITIES!?

ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!???" Capone Bege shouted, totally outraged for more than obvious reasons... and that taking into account that he hadn't yet mentioned or even read each and every one of the outrageous impositions in that contract

"Yes! And in exchange I will allow you to leave my island alive."

Your boats will be safe from becoming aquatic botanical gardens and you won't be shark food.

This way you will be able to fulfill your part of the contract and carry out all the procedures for the transfer of ownership.

"Not bad right?" Answered Fred with a kind smile that contrasted diametrically with his terrifying eyes full of greed that looked at Bege as if he were a treasure chest.

A treasure chest wounded in body, soul, pride and financially that began to shake and turn red with anger. One so intense and well focused on a single person that icould explode at any moment with catastrophic consequences.

Catastrophic consequences for himself...

'Calm down Bege...

The first thing is to get out of here alive...'

Therefore, by reminding himself that he had no choice but to play along with his worst enemy he regained his composure to continue with the... negotiations...

"Ha...

I knew that the infamous Frederick Freed, the [Greedy Monster] was obsessed with money and that he wouldn't hesitate to drain every last drop of my blood, but…

I believed that the heroic Frederick Freed, the [Demon Hunter] and [Ballywood Hero] would prioritize eliminating... demons... like us from the face of the planet" Bege said, releasing his frustration by insulting Fred in the most subtle way possible. "I don't know whether to be disappointed or not... but your fans sure will be."

"Hahahaha...

I'm a businessman, Mr. Bege!" Answred Fred without feeling insulted at all "I do what can give me the most benefits and it just so happens that the assets that your mafia family is going to give me legally are more valuable than the reward the World Government offer for your head, which is unfairly zero.

That's why I'm giving you such good conditions compared to the rest of my victims."

"GOOD CONDITION?!" exclaimed Bege, who upon hearing such an outrage. He even got up from the chair even though he could barely move his injured body. "If you're really a businessman you should know that what you're asking of us is not very different from suicide!"

"That's your problem, not mine...

You should have thought better before trying to rob and kill me" Answered with his scariest demonic face and a voice with an exorbitant coldness and hostility towards Bege and his subordinates

So much coldness and hostility that caused shivers among Bege's subordinates, whose legs began to tremble as they felt that dense bloodlust emanating from the young man whose reddish hair expanded and took the terrifying appearance of a lovecraftian monstrosity that seemed to be prepared to devour their souls at any moment.

And if they had that horrible sensation, Bege, who was a few centimeters from the origin, clearly felt Fred's murderous intentions... the intention to dismember him little by little with his blood-colored hair in the most cruel and twisted way possible.

"Son of..."

Feeling so close to death, his body began to shake, so much so that his fresh wounds began to open, making difficult for him to even sit back down in his chair, which was already stained red.

Bege was in such a miserable state that... put a smile on Fred's face, who got up from his chair and...

Did he help Bege sit down again?

"Come on, don't make that ugly face... although it's not like you have many more records...

Hahaha...

Luckily for you, I'm a good person who likes to offer alternatives…" Said Fred, emphasizing that he didn't have such bad intentions massaging Bege's shoulders... and even healing and disinfecting his wounds. "If you look closely, I haven't put you in an absolute dead end.

There is a small gap through which you can escape.

I've asked for all your current assets, but I haven't mentioned your cash, so...

After you pay off all your debts... honestly, of course... you can use what you have left to go to sea and change your profession

One quite similar to yours now."

"Are you suggesting I become a pirate?!

YOU!?" Bege shouted as he turned his head to look with his stupefied face in the eyes of Fred, who was still behind him, to check if he had said it sarcastically or not "Are you kidding me!?"

He really couldn't believe what his ears were hearing…

The relationship between Fred and the pirates was well known!

When and how began his hatred towards them, how he made a living hunting them, the horrible things he usually do to them meanwhile and after hunting them and the state in which those who had been lucky or unlucky to survive their carnage were left.

HE HATED THEM TO DEATH! HE WANTED THEM AND EVERYTHING THEY REPRESENTED TO DISAPPEAR FROM THE WORLD!

That's why Bege really needed explicit confirmation to make sure he understood it correctly.

"Why not? I am a far-sighted businessman

If you manage to become feared, famous and powerful on the Grand Line sooner or later you will end up with a good reward on your head and...

Maybe then I'll be able to do... business... with you again." Fred said with a face full of greed as he finished stitching Bege's wounds with great professionalism. "Although it will probably be the last time..."

With this answer and treatment Bege was able to confirm several things...

He had understood Fred's message perfectly, as incredible as it seemed.

The story of the little hero with the noble mission of eliminating pirates, bandits and gangsters from the world to allow ordinary people to live in peace were just hoaxes to grow his fame.

Fred would let them leave here if they signed that abusive contract...

And that he needed to get much stronger or run much faster if their paths crossed again to avoid doing business again.

And finally, after understanding the real person behind the legend, Bege couldn't help but laugh despite being in a precarious situation. "Pff...

Huahuahua!

You really are a ruthless businessman...

I respect that... and it disappoints me at the same time...

I didn't dislike your antihero façade despite supposedly being on the enemy side."

"Whatever

You and all your men just have to sign this contract in blood, tell me all your secrets, those of your enemies, partners, associates, clients, etc… and... you can leave" Fred remarked as he put the contract back on the table and looked furtively at all the surviving gangsters after Bege. "Yes, you heard right, all of you."

Bege and all the filler gangsters were shocked upon hearing this unexpected demand and their minds were flooded with questions like...

Didn't the contract we have to sign only include the assets of the Capone Family?

Did that mean that all of us must also hand over all of our personal assets? Our homes and land too?

Are you crazy!?

However, none of them dared to voice their doubts and complaints, not after what they had experienced.

Besides, it wasn't necessary to ask if they had understood it correctly...

Fred's face becoming exponentially nastier, more malicious and greedy was all the confirmation I needed.

"...

Alright..." Capone Bege said on behalf of everyone, finally declaring unilateral surrender "Guys, line up...

Meanwhile I talk to this... gentleman"

And so it was done.

One by one, all the gangsters cut off their fingers and signed in blood and their fingerprint the infernal contract and the copy of the contract. A brutal contract that would practically leave them homeless in less than two months, but at the same time an offer they couldn't refuse.

And while they signed with tears in their eyes, Bege revealed the secrets and weaknesses of all his enemies without holding anything back.

And he did exactly the same thing, betraying his allies, partners and acquaintances!

Bege didn't give a shit about them now that he had fallen from grace and they would probably try to stab him in the back.

"All of that still seems too unethical to me…" Said the good Stephen, who felt a little uncomfortable stripping those people of all their possessions under threat of death "I know they're enemies that tried to kill us, but…"

But Perona didn't have so many moral problems, she only focused on the benefits they would obtain. Such was her enthusiasm that she even spoke to Fred with extreme respect despite having been fighting before. "And that was the last Boss."

"Great! It has become very easy to get money lately.

MUA HAHAHAHAHA!!!" Fred shouted, laughing unscrupulously in front of his victims with his classic evil smile

However, he wasn't the only one who laughed on that beach, although he was the only one who didn't try to hide said laughter.

'Huahuahua!

STUPID BRAT!' Capone Bege thought, unlike his lackeys with little understanding, he felt like the winner of this deal. 'Do you really think that bloody piece of paper has any kind of power over me?

YOU HAVE GIVEN ME TWO MONTHS TO DO WHATEVER I WANT! I'M A FUCKING MAFIOUS! I AM OUTSIDE THE LAW!

I have plenty of time to pull the necessary strings, such as mobilizing big guns from the Gran Line with parts of the assets that we have promised to deliver to you or partially following your suggestion selling everything and leaving where you can't follow us...

No matter how strong or sadistic he is...

He's still a fucking naive kid!'

"Okay, let's start by letting go of what you have right now.

Quick, I'm a busy man, I don't have all day" Fred said in collector mode "First take out everything on that boat, then the other and after that..."

Fred organized the operation, Stephen supervised the interior of the ships, Perona tested the effectiveness of her negative holes on the already extremely depressed gangsters and Bege's lackeys did the dirty work delivering everything inside the ship according to the terms of the contract.

And meanwhile Bege was still metaphorically lick his fingers despite maintaining his poker face with great effort. 'Stupid…

You'll be able to inspect both ships to see if there's anything of value left to steal, but I'm a Shiro Shiro no Mi user.

I have the greatest family treasures stored inside me!

It's a pleasure doing business with you, idiot.'

Although Bege had seen from reading part of the contract that Fred wasn't as intelligent as he thought, he didn't dare to consider him an idiot right away. His infamous enemy with a reputation for being highly intelligent had shown to have great knowledge about his Akuma No Mi and it wasn't unreasonable to think that he knew about the capacity to store all kinds of things inside his body

Capone Bege knew that Fred knew he was hiding valuable things inside himself, but Fred didn't know exactly what was there. For this reason, Bege opted for the strategy of giving him something of value that could minimally satisfy his greed, but keeping the really valuable inside inside.

After all, the only way to be sure that there were more valuables inside Bege was to enter inside his body to check... and Fred had already expressed his refusal to enter inside the body of his enemy.

It was undoubtedly a perfect plan to protect his assets, if it weren't for the fact that... he had made a pact with the devil...

'UGH!? THE WHAT!? WHAT AM I DOING!?' Bege thought as he saw helplessly how his body didn't follow the plan that his brain had previously drawn up. 'Why I'm giving him absolutely everything!?

Why don't my body and mind act the way I want!?

NO NO NO! DON'T GIVE HIM THAT! NOT THAT!!!'

One after another, in pairs, en masse... a lot of items kept coming out of Bege's stomach and piled up in the sand before the satisfied gaze of Fred. He may have been unable to do so five years ago, but now he was able to correctly appraise many of the valuable antiques and luxury items that Bege collected.

However, two among all the items managed to gain his interest above the rest.

"Oh...

You had very nice things stored in there, but...

Considering the way you look at this chest there must be something very valuable inside..." Fred said, enjoying Bege's expression as he opened the chest... before exclaiming like a child who just found the gifts under the Christmas tree "UOHHHHH!!!

An Akuma No MI and... the Akuma No Mi book!

I had been looking for it for years!

I love you Bege!"

"You...

What have you done to me?" Asked Bege completely pale, staggering and even more scared than when Fred mentally killed him several times a few minutes ago.

He has just experienced a fear equal to or greater than the fear of death. The fear of the unknown, the fear of not having control over his own mind and body... and worst of all, the fear of feeling like he was no longer the owner of his own life.

And that fear only fueled the sadistic satisfaction of Fred, who approached Bege and looked at him with contempt over his shoulder to further emphasize their difference in size... and power "Make you fulfill your part of the contract

Did you really think that this is just a worthless piece of paper?

Not with me!"

"But...

How? Your Akuma No Mi shouldn't have that power…" Bege stammered, unable to accept what was happening to him and what would most likely happen to him in two months…

HE COULDN'T BELIEVE IT! HE COULDN'T ACCEPT THIS!

HE WAS REALLY DESTINED TO LOSE EVERYTHING JUST AS HE HAD AGREED WITH THAT DEMON IN HUMAN FORM!!??

However, that was really happening and not even knowing how it was possible would help him remedy it...

Bege had no choice but to accept that he was dancing in Fred's palm to the rhythm he wanted.

BUT HOW?

WHAT KIND OF MAGIC WAS FRED USING TO FORCE HIM TO COMPLY WITH THE CONTRACT?

"Bege... Bege... Bege...

...

I'm more special than you can imagine" Said Fred, pinching Bege's cheek in an extremely humiliating way and then further humiliating him by turning his back on him to inspect the rest of his new possessions. "And I'm not going to answer any more of your questions

I'm not contractually obligated to do it... but you...

MUA HAHAHA!

If you're lucky, my family and yours will see each other in less than two months in Ballywood preferably signing my documents, whether you want it or not…"

"Thank you for coming to visit us and for bringing gifts!

Horo-horo-horo-horo-horo!" Perona said goodbye, subtly adding salt to the wound

"Here you have a copy of the contract

"Be careful on the return trip," Stephen said goodbye, politely dismissing the visitors from his house.

"Ciao figlio di puttana!" Fred said goodbye, without any politeness or subtlety... and even bordering on offense

"KYAAHHH!!!" Shouted Captain Mcnugget, giving them such cruel insults that not even Fred dared to translate them

---

As agreed in the contract signed by both parties, Fred and his men allowed Bege and his lackeys to escape from Narhad alive and without sinking like the rest of their ships. In exchange, Bege and his lackeys would hand over all their assets to Fred and his men within two months in Ballywood.

With this deal, the bloodthirsty and cruel Fred might have had enough interest in letting them go so that they could gather their property for him. Furthermore, he had expressed in various ways and on several occasions reasonably that he was interested in keeping them alive. In principle, Bege and his men shouldn't be nervous or even afraid that Fred wouldn't keep his end of the deal.

Even so, it wasn't until Bege and his men lost sight of Narhad Island that they were able to breathe a small sigh of relief and talk about what had happened.

"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!? WHAT THE HELL IS THAT MONSTER!?

WHY HAS ALL THIS HAPPENED TO ME!?" Bege shouted, completely red with anger, shivering and drenched in cold sweat from fear. Hitting the walls of his room due to the helplessness he felt... "WHY!? WHY!!?? WHYYYYYY!!!???"

On another occasion he would have hit his table or broken some item of relative value to get rid of his anger, but now there was nothing he could hit except the walls. Fred had taken everything, including his table, his chairs and even his bed.

"Father...what do we do now?" Asked his subordinates completely helpless, especially when they realized that their boss was as devastated as they were.

But that state of despair and alienation didn't last forever in Bege...

Hearing the anguished, hopeless and disoriented voices of his remaining subordinates asking to be commanded, Bege cooled his mind to do and be what he was expected to do and be, especially in times of crisis

A boss, a man of action, a mastermind, a lighthouse in the night, the pillar to hold on to when everything starts to fall apart!

Someone capable of transmitting peace of mind and providing solutions even when everything seems to be lost!

"First of all...

Study the contract thoroughly" Bege said as he handed the copy of the contract to one of his subordinates with a law degree to check it "I suspect that one of his collaborators has the power of an Akuma No Mi that forces people to comply with the contracts they sign...

However, in every contract there're loopholes that can be exploited for the benefit of some party.

We just have to find them and pray that they're big enough to minimally resolve our situation."

"It won't be easy sir...

I know we had no choice but to sign it, but...

He has thought in everything..." Said the mafia lawyer, overwhelmed by reading each and every one of the clauses of the giant contract. "We cannot disclose to third parties that Fred doesn't authorize what happened today or about the content of the contract.

We cannot take revenge directly or indirectly against Fred, his friends, acquaintances, collaborators and interests.

We have to ensure that we deliver the goods to Fred in the best possible condition, without damaging them in the slightest before or after the delivery, without endangering it in any way, protecting them even at the cost of our lives if necessary...

In the event that we die for any reason, another family member will be responsible for delivering the corresponding assets to Fred in the ways he stipulated in the contract

In case someone catches us asking about the property contracts or what happened in Narthad kill yourself immediately. If suicide isn't possible, repeat the key words over and over again during the interrogation. Repeat the keywords 10000 times as training before going to sleep.

We're prohibited from committing suicide, killing each other, deliberately causing incidents that endanger our lives, unless it is to defend the interests of Fredercik Freed and ensure the fulfillment of the contract.

Order of priorities, deadlines, where to deliver the property titles, who must deliver them, subsequent and previous procedures to deliver it, passwords to contact his trusted notary...

....

And the list goes on...

This guy is paranoid!

I don't think there are any loopholes to exploit, but... I'll do my best."

The lawyer tried to please his boss with that last declaration of intent, but Bege understood the message perfectly. They had been completely defeated by the infamous [Demon Hunter] and there was no chance to fight back.

The only thing they could do was accept the defeat, learn from their mistakes and look forward.

"Well, let's try to be positive...

At least he has let us leave alive..." Bege said melancholy looking at the clear sky through the window while thinking about Fred's proposal "Be a pirate huh?"

Why not? We're in the Great Age of Piracy...

I guess it's time to go with the flow... plus, the annual reunion between the five families is in two months too…

Fred must have something planned for them, especially taking into account the questions he asked me about them

Maybe it's better not to be there..."

"We're with you Father, we will follow you wherever you go, even if it is to the dangerous Grand Line" Said his remaining subordinates, showing impeccable loyalty towards their boss "We don't mind becoming a pirate or whatever as long as you lead us"

And although that loyalty was partially due to the fact that they had been left without a home to return to, they didn't want to be unemployed and because as former gangsters staying in West Blue was very dangerous now that their boss and family won't be able to protect them... that gesture moved Bege, although he tried to hide it

"Wise decision…" Said Bege, almost on the verge of crying slightly at that show of affection in such a difficult moment. "Although we have had a setback, I think…

UHHHH!!! AAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"

But what was going to become an epic speech to motivate his faithful lackeys and inaugurate their new stage as pirates ended in tragedy.

Before the stunned gaze of his subordinates, Capone Bege suddenly fell to the ground screaming in pain.

"Father! What's happening to you!?"

His loyal subordinates ran to help him, before they realized it and without knowing how, their hands and feet were stained with blood. From the blood that flowed non-stop from Bege's body, practically from all his pores... and that quickly began to dye the floor of that empty room red.

"His wounds...

FUCK! They've all opened!

AND THEY'RE WORSE THAN BEFORE!"

And when they saw that their leader's life was in danger, none of the lackeys stood by. Each of them had to do the best they could to save their new pirate captain.

Although there were no licensed doctors on the ship after the massacre, those with some knowledge of medicine attempted to close and disinfect his wounds. Others went to look for the blood reserves that Fred had the detail not to steal to replace the lost blood. Others stood guard around him to ensure that no one inflicted more damage on him than he had already accumulated.

And others tried to find the cause of those serious and sudden injuries, but the only thing out of place they found was...

"Snakes...

Where did they come from?"

"WHAT DOES THAT MATTER NOW?!

KILL THEM! KILL THEM!"

On the ground, among his boss's bloody clothes and even near some of his wounds, there were snakes everywhere!

And that helped explain a great horrible mystery...

"Oh no!

He has been poisoned!"

No matter how numerous, horrible, and deep the wounds on Bege's body were, they weren't enough to explain the terrible state of his captain.

Despite having lost a lot of blood his body burned with a tremendous fever, he was sweating profusely and had great difficulty breathing. He could barely verbalize the pain he felt and seemed to be struggling to stay conscious.

The venom of the snakes they were trying to kill right now was undoubtedly the cause of his terrible state, but …

"A DOCTOR! WE NEED A DOCTOR!"

Although virtually everyone aboard the ship had medical knowledge of treating common wounds, only the medical professionals had studied toxicology and only they were capable of identifying the poison afflicting their captain and how to neutralize it.

And the problem was that... the only two doctors they knew within the crew perished during the assault...

They were all aware of this in the same way that they were aware that they were in the middle of the ocean, where doctors were scarce, so they knew perfectly well that their cries for help would have no effect...

But still... even if it was desperately...

Everyone clung to the hope that a divine miracle would save the life of their Chief, Godfather and Captain.

"I'm a doctor and I think I have the diagnosis!

His stitches have turned into poisonous snakes and they have bitten him

That explains the poisoning and why his wounds have opened."

And their prayers were answered... but by the devil himself!

"OH NO! NOT YOU!!"

Before them wasn't a pious doctor passing by willing to help, but the source of all their evils!

Frederick Freed, the incarnation of the devil himself in their traumatized minds!

Captain Mcnugget... or Hawky... a metallic infernal winged life form born to kill that rested peacefully on the devil's shoulder!

Stephen Steel, the impregnable humanoid powder-armor attached to a hammer that turned anyone he encountered into minced meat!

Perona, the invincible ghost girl who brought depression, misery and marked with death those she didn't find cute!

Those nightmares that they thought they left behind boarded their ship thanks to some giant ducks that Fred summoned, although the gangsters never realized it.

"We meet again," Fred said, giving them his most diabolical laugh full of the worst intentions. "Did you miss me?"

Seeing that team of monsters again, the gangsters were completely paralyzed...

"No…not again…"

They were afraid! Extremely afraid that their invincible enemies had returned to finish what they started!

"Why?

 Why?"

They were confused, they didn't understand why they had come back for them after signing that strange contract that had left them ruined

Many had enough courage to stammer their fears and doubts, but only one dared to face Fred.

"Is this your doing Fred!?

You tried to kill our boss!?" The mafia lawyer shouted indignantly as he displayed the copy of the contract "This is not what we had agreed to!

In the contract..."

"I stipulated that I would let you leave the island, that I wouldn't sink your boats and that I wouldn't turn you into shark food…" Fred said, interrupting the lawyer as he pointed out his part of the deal in his contract "And you have managed to leave Narhad, I haven't and won't sink your ship and I won't command any shark to eat you

It's exactly what we had agreed to."

And with that brief explanation they understood it

They understood that they had been extremely naïve to believe that someone so twisted, vengeful and with such great hatred towards their kind would simply let them escape after signing a simple contract that they were forced to sign.

And even though they still didn't understand what Fred gained by doing that, the situation was obvious, they had come for their boss's life!

And although some mustered the courage to fight to the death against that invincible enemy to defend their boss...

"Why… why…I can't do anything?"

For some strange reason they were unable to attack him, his body didn't obey them and it wasn't because of the extreme fear they felt for Fred and his team of monsters.

"You promised that you couldn't attack us

Do you remember?" Stephen clarified, a little fascinated and disappointed to see that so many people fell for that same trick "You didn't establish that it would only be during the negotiations."

"Loopholes

Mmm… Ahhh...

I adore them!" Fred said, laughing evilly and licking his lips in satisfaction, overwhelmed by the great ecstasy of intellectually crushing his victims... just like his favorite manga killer pervert clown

A terrifying face that gave chills to Perona, who was also a victim of a similar tactic "You are... incredibly evil..."

But the lawyer was the only person brave enough to express that option in that room.

"You...bas...tar...d...

I never…should…sign…that…"

Capone Bege, who could barely stay awake despite feeling pain of a magnitude hitherto unknown to him, used everything he had to do the only thing he could to get revenge.

Cursing pathetically at his enemy!

"Oh you're still conscious...

Let me help you fix it" Fred said mockingly as he threw one of his classic needles full of [Sleeping Beauty] at Bege's neck. "As I have told you several times, I am a businessman and I do what can give me the most benefits!

And it just so happens...

That I can still squeeze a little more out of you... for my own benefit."

The drug took effect quickly, leaving Bege in a coma almost instantly. A dream that partly comforted his wounded and poisoned body, since that needle also contained traces of the antidote for the snake posion that was in his blood.

An act that made this situation even more incomprehensible to Bege's subordinates, who could only watch and ask.

"Bastard! What are you planning to do with Father!?"

However, Fred wasn't willing to answer their questions.

"Instead of asking questions, you should enjoy the two months you have left to live before handing over everything you have stolen to me, you fucking parasites." Fred said as he threw needles with [Sleeping Beauty] in the face of all the gangsters in the room. "Follow your boss's example and take a nap."

There was no one awake in that room anymore, no one who could explain what was about to happen next, no one except him and his own team.

"Well, it looks like we can finally find out what you were planning."

"I hope all the intrigue is worth it"

"KYAHHH!"

Fred told them days ago that Capone Bege could attack them shortly, the plan to easily defeat him, how he would squeeze every last drop of value out of his enemy with his Pact Magic and that they would also board their ship once they left the island

However, he never explained what would do after that...

"Yes, now you will know...

The moment of truth has arrived!

The moment that will determine everything that's to come!"

After saying those epic or perhaps presumptuous words, Fred took one of his swords and immediately transformed that sword into a huge snake.

A moderately huge snake that had been helpful to Fred in one of his previous fights. An Ophidius Ingestus, the origin of the ultra-corrosive stomach acid that Fred used to defeat the Hulk pirates and that's capable of devouring and digesting any animal in a matter of seconds

"ÑAM!"

Before the confused and disgusted faces of Perona, Stephen and Captain Mcnugget, the snake summoned and held by Fred fulfilled his will by devouring alive and without chewing the sleeping body of Bege who…

Died, dissolved and digested inside the snake's stomach in a matter of second

"And… that's it?

That's all? Did you want to test if your creations can eat people alive?

What's the next step? Check if the sword or the next animal you turn that sword into can shit Bege?

You could have used anyone for that!

KYAHHHH!!"

The protest of the Stephen, Perona and Captain Mcnugget coalition was understandable. They were extremely disappointed with this bad joke and were determined to continue chastising Fred for hours for selling them smoke so blatantly.

However…

Clanck! Clank!

A few moments later those protests stopped when they noticed that something strange was happening. Something was happening to the snake that Fred was holding in his hand... and something was also happening to Fred's face, which conveyed more madness than usual.

"Yes... yes...

YEEESSSSS!!!"

Some of the scales of the giant snake opened as if they were trapdoors, mini cannons protruded from them and its eyes became windows that revealed inside a structure very similar to that of a stone room and

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!????"

"KYAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!?"

That was enough to make Stephen, Perona, and Captain Mcnugge exclaim like rednecks and then render them completely speechless, but if they could vocalize they'd probably say something like...

"NANIIIIIIIII!!??The snake that just ate Capone Bege now has Capone Bege's powers! "

However, that was only the beginning of their descent into the abyss.

"Ha… Hahahaha…

HAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Laughing like a madman, seeing that the first part of his theory was correct, Fred moved on to the second phase!

First he unsummoned the giant snake, returning the sword to normal... and then transformed that sword again, but this time partially

A partial form between a sword and a much smaller snake. Fred created a combination as or more lethal than the previous one in Fred's hands, but both shared one element in common...

"This…can't…be…possible…"

The same castle-like features of the Shiro Shiro No Mi also appeared on the surface of that sword/snake hybrid!

This event left everyone present breathless, especially Stephen, who as an engineer almost suffered a brain short circuit upon realizing the implications of what he had just witnessed.

But Fred wasn't done with this descent into madness yet, he still had a third act left.

The final act!

"MUA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA!!!"

MUA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA!!!"

The sword returned to its normal form and then changed shape again under the powers of Life Life No Mi. And once again Fred used his powers to transform the sword, but in a simpler and more ordinary organism than a snakes, something that he used to see every day, something that he even used to eat almost every day...

It was... a fruit...

"I can't believe it...

That is...

HOW'S IT POSSIBLE!!?"

But it wasn't just any normal fruit!

IT WAS AN AKUMA NO MI!

THE SHIRO SHIRO NO MI THEY HAD SEEN IN THE BOOK BEFORE BOARDING THE BOAT!

"Fred... you... you..."

The weight of what they had just witnessed…

The immeasurable implications of its meaning....

The chaos this power could unleash on the world…

These thoughts created a rollercoaster of emotions for Stephen and Perona that they didn't know how to verbalize.

With the end of this three-act performance Stephen and Perona were left completely stunned, overwhelmed and even frightened. Their bodies trembled and they reflexively put their hands to their heads to try to physically contain their emotions... as if they were almost helplessly witnessing the birth of an unstoppable natural disaster about to shake the world.

And that dreamer natural disaster, in front of people who were dreaming and who believed they were dreaming...

Announced his arrival!

"MUA HAHAHA!!!

MUA HAHAHAHA!!!

The future of this world has been decided!

MUA HAHAHAHAHA!!!

Yes, from now on…

THIS IS MY ERA!

MUA HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

MUA HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

MUAAAAAAAAAAA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"
