10 Munchkin-bito

'This outfit really isn't her style…' Daz couldn't help but think while a small smirk stretched over his face in amusement.

Before him stood the munchkin, fidgeting uncomfortably in her new clothes that were just a little bit too large for her, causing her to occasionally trip and falter in her steps.

After Daz had explained his plan to the former slaves, and taken a small nap, he had thought on the problem of staying near the munchkin for her protection, while also keeping up his fake persona of still being a member of the CP0.

This had led Daz to the inglorious idea to stuff the munchkin into one of the outfits for the Tenryuubito available at all times on one of their ships, which this one was as well. This way, he would always be able to stick to her like glue, until they were out of danger that is.

Naturally, she had been rather confused when he presented those clothes to her, but explaining his plan to her had been worth the time once he saw her hop around the deck in order not to trip over her too large clothes.

Turning around, Daz walked over to the railing and looked in the direction they were sailing into. Before them, a literal armada of Marine ships sailed through the gigantic gates of Justice, causing his face to contort in thought beneath his white mask.

'What in the name of all that is holy is going on in Enies Lobby? Is there an emperor invading Enies Lobby? Or why are they throwing these many ships at the island?' He couldn't make heads or tails out of the Marine's actions. It made no sense to him!

Turning away from the railing of their ship, Daz walked back towards the table he had been sitting at, once more turning on the now docile transponder snail, which complied without a second of hesitation.

Adjusting the frequency to the appropriate channel, Daz listened once more to the podcast that was being broadcasted to every marine vassal with a working transponder snail.

After a few seconds of the same reports though, he heard something that nearly caused his heart to skip a beat in surprise.

'What in the ever-loving fuck!? A bloody Bustercall was ordered on Enies Lobby?! What deranged idiot was dumb enough to blow up their own island?! Oh my god, this is hilarious, aaaaaaahahahaha!' Daz thought dumbstruck and in amazement, before bursting into a mental roar of laughter, barely containing his real laughter all the while.

"Oh man, this is gonna be good, hehehe" he muttered to himself with a grin under his mask, though anybody listening would have heard the grin in his voice from a mile away.

"Listen up everyone, I got news!" Daz said in a loud and clear voice, immediately gaining the attention of everyone on deck.

"It seems some fucking idiot has ordered a Bustercall, in laymen terms a military blow up commando, onto Enies Lobby, which means we will have absolutely no trouble getting past the Marines. During a Bustercall, every Marine ship is ordered to concentrate solely on eliminating the marked target, which means we'll have a peaceful passage from here on out." Daz told everyone on deck, who immediately began to grin at each other in happiness, though Daz still spotted clear tension in their body language, which was good in his opinion. Made for a more vigilant crew.

With his piece said, Daz turned around to the now a little frustrated munchkin, due to her immobility in her new clothes, and walked over towards her.

"Alright munchkin, from here on out you'll be staying near me at all times, alright?" Daz asked her, getting down on one knee to be more closely to her level, and yet still towering over her, to which she nodded with a little apprehension on her face.

No doubt her gut told her of the coming troubles, which was rather easy when you had nothing to do but stay next to a tense and nervous crew at all times, but it was good that she listened to her gut in the first place instead of ignoring her instincts in such a situation.

"Don't worry, nothing will happen to you while I'm still around." Daz told her, patting her head now kept in one of those bubbles the Tenryuubito always wore in order not breath the same air as the common folk, calming her a little.

Still, she stuck to his side at all times like a shadow, and Daz nodded in satisfaction while walking back over to the railing, checking on their progress.

'Not much longer anymore and we'll be at the gates. Meh, no need to get tense. Shit will go down one way or the other anyway. We'll be fine.' Daz thought, leaning against the railing while rolling his lollipop around in his mouth a little, enjoying the last peaceful moments before shit would hit the fan, like it always did when he was involved.
