One Piece's Breeze

Whitebeard huffed, feeling all the injuries he received in this war flare-up. But despite all the rear admirals and vice admirals surrounding him, his eyes remained fixed on his goal, the son he has come to save.

His haki swept through the battlefield causing his heavy expression to darken even further feeling his children dying one after the other. It was not like they didn't expect any casualties when they decided to save Ace, but whether it was him or the rest of his crew, they were all willing to take that risk.

Why?

Because they were family!

Marco and the rest of the commanders were facing off against the upper echelon of the Marines with his first commander even fighting Aokiji and Akainu on his own for the past three minutes. But he knew that neither Marco nor the rest of the commanders could hold on for long.

"AAACEEEEE!!"

He focused on the young man with the straw hat running with all his might towards the center of Marineford, not caring about all the injuries he piled up from the start.

Whitebeard sighed, this stage was too soon for him, even if he possessed Conqueror's Haki. His arrival might have been showy, appearing from the sky along with his crew. But that was it, at the end of the day, Ace's brother wasn't ready for this stage … nor was his crew

Straw Hat lost his arm, cut off by Doflamingo before he was rescued by Diamonte.

The swordsman was still standing, but his entire body was covered in burns. He could only stand at the back sending one or two flying slashes here and there to help his captain.

The orange-haired girl and the little deer were tending to the blonde one who was unconscious with a wound stretching from his right shoulder to his left hip, courtesy of Mihawk.

The long-nosed one was holding a rifle provided by one of his children and shooting every enemy that approached the blind side of his captain with impressive accuracy for someone who just awakened his observation haki.

The other woman was using her Devil Fruit to help bring his injured children to the back of their formation which Whitebeard was thankful for.

And lastly, the cyborg was missing his lower body, destroyed by one Akainu's wide area attacks, and the skeleton was left with only his soul lingering, his body petrified and reduced to powder by the woman Shichibukai.

The situation was grim, Whitebeard wasn't confident about the chances of success.

'Too many sacrifices…' His fists trembled. The air around him started fracturing seeing his sons and daughters dying by the second.

'Ace…' The giant's eyes narrowed on his son who had passed out after seeing his younger brother lose an arm.

Whitebeard took a step forward as all eyes focused on him. It was time for him to go and get his son personally, his life be damned! Trap or not, he was willing to jump into the inner section of the battlefield himself. He was about to show everyone the real might of the one called the Strongest Man in the World.

"I-"

[ 𝐀𝐢𝐫 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 ]

A calm voice, serene, as tranquil as water, resounded in the entire battlefield interrupting him. Whitebeard's step paused mid-air feeling a green blur pass by him followed by a soft breeze. Not a millisecond later, he, along with every Haki user immediately lifted their arms to cover their eyes.

*BOOM*

*BOOM*

*BOOM*

*BOOM*

Four resounding sonic booms echoed in a straight line, from the scaffolding where Garp and Sengoku were standing to the sea, followed by a shockwave, sending all the weaker fighters flying in all directions.

Whitebeard lowered his arms and he along with everyone else stood stupified for a moment, their brain taking a few seconds to try and comprehend the incredulity of the situation. Some even rubbed their eyes before looking again at the top of the scaffolding wondering if their eyes were playing tricks on them or if all the bloodshed around them has finally turned them crazy. And the old legend couldn't even blame them.

Because Ace, along with all the Mugiwaras were now nowhere to be seen.

Most might have no idea of what happened but the 1% at the top standing on this battlefield just realized that this entire war took the biggest turn it could have because of one unknown entity.

1 millisecond.

Whitebeard came out of his daze and grinned. Someone or something just swooped in and saved his son under the eyes of the top powerhouses in the world. They didn't use any fancy tricks: with just pure speed, they took Ace and the 9 Mugiwaras away before anyone could react.

All of this, in only one-thousandth of a second.

He chuckled seeing Sengogu's face that looked as if someone stole his wife under his nose. Feeling the tension leaving his body he turned around and laughed freely,

"Gurararahahahaha, MY CHILDREN…"

He faced his family that looked at him in confusion, not knowing what to do with this development.

Was Ace safe? Was this one of his hidden plans?

Whitebeard didn't know any better than them. But looking at the piece of paper that appeared in his hand a few seconds ago as well as the strand of green hair that was falling slowly in front of him, he knew that the war was over; no more children of his would leave this world today.

".. WE'RE LEAVING!!"

Two white spheres surrounded his fists as Whitebeard struck in front of him unleashing the most devastating shockwave he has created ever since the start of the war to delay the Marines while they escaped.

Seeing his sons and daughters fleeing immediately and Marco coming back with dozens of their scattered crew members who couldn't flee on their own in his wings, the legend smiled even wider. Finally Ace was safe.

How was we so sure?

Call it an intuition as a parent or maybe his super-developed observation haki, but he knew that his son was now safe and sound. He grinned before jumping on his ship and glanced at the name on the vivre card on his palm, his eyes flashing with a strange light,

"FEI"

Hello hello,

First of all, it will be the first and last time that I'll leave a note at the end of the chapter like this (I know it can ruin the immersion for some). I'd like to give you a brief idea of how this fanfiction is going to progress seeing as the prologue and the synopsis don't give you much info.

To be honest, I'm not sure myself, but from what I've planned so far, you can expect a lot of multiple POVs at the start to present the mc from different angles. There will be a lot of adventures and the mc's presence will hugely affect the original plot.

Not many Ocs and not many new islands/kingdoms created, the mc's adventure will mostly be in the islands we know from cannon and he will interact with characters we all know.

Romance? Yes but no smut and no harem. Pairing already decided.

Pikachu? Yes
