4 Weird dream

I listened my heartbeat, while trying to find out what James is doing, I slowly sunk in dreams.

In dreams, I saw my journey to Lost Blood Lands. I saw how I got dragged on a caged carriage. I wasn't a criminal, but an outcast.

The journey was long. I saw how I passed through different places: Fields, Forest, Villages, Towns, Cities.

Soon, my cage was full. And we joined up with other carriages.

Two carriages, three and a few months later we were part of large carriage group.

I learned that all of us were sold to defend the wall, for the rest of our life.

And the only way to escape was the death. Or rarely, new kings or queens, who just got on a throne, will hold a test, to get more army under their name.

When we finally arrived at Lost Blood Lands, we got greeted by a commander, but the weird sight was, why no one fashes their faces, especially males.

I suddenly felt the push, I opened my eyes and saw James.

James asked me: Don't sleep, it will be difficult to rest later, we can play with dices if you don't wanna train.

I nodded, but I wondered, what does he mean with word train.

James: I will go get a cup and dices.

Soon he came back, and we played simple dice guessing game, higher or lower.

Time passed, I got bored, but there wasn't anything else to do.

When we finally heard knocks on the door, I was happy, because I am quite tired.

It was my first day in the unknown world. I don't even know who I am, I only know my first name, which is Chris. On Earth, I was called Chirs for short also.

I also dreamed about how I arrived here. But nothing more, and I know that everyone keeps face covered with dirt because of commander.

They are scared of him.

We went down from the second floor. James opened the door.

We saw Ains and Evets again. Ains greeted us with a happy face.

Which made James look at him oddly, James asked: What's the happy occasion?

Ains: Good news, our scout shift was pushed to on 15th.

James: What happened?

Ains: Nothing much, the last group had only one survivor, they ended up encountering large One-eyed blood squirrel group.

Evets: What happened, happened. What's important is, did commander came by?

James: No, not yet.

Ains: Bad luck, always falls on us.

James: You just had good luck, I guess you jinxed it.

Ains grinned and told: Blame my mouth.

James: Well for bringing good news we can enjoy something rare. Chris take it out.

I didn't understand at first, but I remembered that the only thing so far I have hidden was molded cheese.

I took it out, and Ains eyes lip up and he exclaimed: Truly good day today, give me, and let me cut us slices.

Rest laughed softly.

After that, we sit near the table on the first floor. Ains cut fast, and give us all equal amount cheese slices.

We put the cheese on our last beard and eat it. I can say that if you avoid the part how I kept cheese and beard under leather armor and between shirt, I found the taste good.

Probably because of hunger, because one small meal cant fill my body.

After we finished eating, Ains asked if we want to play dice.

I agreed because I hoped to find out more about this world.

Because I am scared that I will not wake up in this world again, after falling asleep at the bed I woke up, that's why I agreed so hastily.

James agreed with Evets as well, after hearing me agree.

We played for a while, but I didn't hear anything I wished.

Mostly all stayed quiet, or they talked about where to look food, and where to search for food in Lost Blood Lands when our scout time begins.

I also realized, that two days more, and we will be going, currently is 13th. And each month is exactly 30 days. Very weird.

After we finished playing, we went on our way with James.

While walking on the wall, I enjoyed the breeze. It wasn't to warm or too cold.

I also wondered why I didn't feel the wind in the tower, even though there is no cover on windows.

When we went down from a wall, we saw a pair of women coming up. They weren't beautiful or ugly. On my standard, they were average.

James greeted, and asked: Any news when Commander comes?

Women chuckled and one of them who was longer and had short white hair answered: Not yet, but I heard that there will be extra men with him because even they are facing food crisis now.

James thanked them, and we went on.

I didn't like the brown haired women, now that I wonder about it, she had a bit bigger mole above the brow.

While wondering about weird thoughts about those two women we got down from the wall.

We moved on, I saw more people this time passing us, I guess shift change is, and before we came a bit too soon because we went to search for food from the warehouse.

People looks piqued my interest. I saw that everyone had short hair or maximum near the neck.

James had red hair. I wished that I could see my hair. But I haven't seen any mirrors while being here.

I haven't seen any old man or women, expect commander here. It got me wonder because in the dream I was sure, I heard from the conversation that we have to be here for the rest of life.

I hoped in mind that I could be the next day here as well, to know more, but I wished that there was more food.

Before long we arrived in our room, I put away my sword, knives and upper leather armor, and waited for James to get on the bed. I laid down near the James and closed my eyes.
