2 We are starving

After passing the door, I saw a long stone corridor. Stone corridor shined in the dark light thanks few torches. Torches were different from the ones I had seen in movies.

I saw the young man moving on, so I hastily followed on.

We passed many corridors, I lost count after twenty. Before long we arrived near the stair, it was also put together from stone.

I found it funny, like I was in medieval age.

While going down the stairs, there were few windows, from where dark red light got in. When I looked out from a window, I saw the dark red sky, with red sun or moon, It was a unique experience.

I almost miss stepped on the stair, but luckily I recovered my footing fast.

I followed on.

I didn't have the will to look out anymore, because I felt like everything was a dream.

Suddenly he stopped near the wooden door. He opened it and signaled with his hand to follow him. I went on.

I passed the door, but I was greeted with the same sight, similar corridor.

He moved on and I as well.

We passed a few corridors and turned to left. At the end of the corridor, I saw a double door.

We went near the double door.

He signaled me to be silent. It's not like I wanted to say anything, even though I am still very perplexed.

He opened the door. And we silently slipped in.

I saw large wooden shelves. Everything was empty, almost empty.

I was a bit scared, but we moved on. Suddenly he spoke: Look for food.

He went alone on, I took a glimpse at everything, before deciding to go between the next line of shelves, and walk on, to find food.

I didn't see anything, on the shelves. Everything was empty or filled with crates. Shelves were far higher than me, probably two grown adult high.

I passed by shelves, peeked in crates, but I got greeted with emptiness.

I found it creepy because this didn't seem like a food warehouse.

I don't know how long I have been in this warehouse, but I finally found cheese, it smelled especially bad.

But I still took it, after taking it I saw it covered with mold.

But I felt hunger when I held it. I realized I was very starved when I looked at my body. I was very skinny.

I decided to keep the cheese. It wasn't a large piece, but when I remove mold later with the knife, I can still eat it, If I don't find anything else.

I searched on. Soon I heard a low shout, from the young man.

I moved fast near him. He waved me with the molded beard. I told: I got molded cheese.

He smiled at me. His smile was brilliant, even though his face was dirty from sweat and dust like we had a huge victory.

He signaled to me, to follow him.

Soon we arrived near the double door, where we came in. He peeked outside and signaled to me to exit the warehouse and move on, back to stairs.

From stairs, we went up, not much, because we went to door above.

After passing the door, I saw a long corridor again, but this time it was a wide one.

I even saw other people, but all had dirty faces and skinny bodies. Like all were suffering from food shortage.

I looked at my hands. My hands were dirty as well. Warehouse and bedroom were darker than the corridor, because of that I didn't see that before.

I found it funny, even though we all are holding a sword, it looks like we are miners. But I did see the red sky with a red sun or moon. Which made me still wonder what's going on and why is this place so large.

Before long, we arrived near the new wooden door. This door was a bit different, it didn't have the wooden handle, but a wooden plank as a lock system, guarded by two young men.

They saw us coming, and took the plank off from the door, and opened the door for us.

When we got outside, I was shocked. We came out from the large stone building, similar to a castle.

I found it very fascinating and bit even exciting, but I wished that I would know what's going on.

I heard a voice: Chris!

It was my name, called by that unknown yet familiar young man.

I asked: What's wrong?

He smiled: We have to go!

Everything feels so mysterious, but I decided to follow him on because maybe I get an answer at the end.

I saw a stone wall, a bit further from the stone castle. Along the way, there were a few empty fields, and near the stone wall were few wooden buildings.

We ran until we were near the stone wall, there was a narrows stone stair, up to walls. Near the stair, there was also a few small wooden huts.

We moved on a stair and started walking up to the stone wall.

Wall seemed long. I wished to know, what was beyond. But I was near the truth.

Suddenly the young man in front of me stopped.

He looked at me and pointed on the castle, from where we came.

He told: Today flag is up, the commander will come soon for his usual walk.

I answered: I understand!

But I didn't understand. But I kept quiet about it because it seemed like I remembered something, I even remembered the young man name front of me, he was James.

It seemed like I know more, but I couldn't recall anything more.

We moved on. When we finally arrived at the wall, I saw a unique sight.

Red sky, infiniteness, no end. Below I saw a red forest, further away few red mountains. I wasn't sure if those were mountains, but seemed similar.

I also discovered that my eyesight was surprisingly good. Too good, because on earth I had to focus and it took time to adjust, to changes in views.
