6 Outpost gathering ( 1 )

After Ains and Evets left, I moved on the second floor to look outside.

I got greeted again by an astonishing view, and tomorrow I will see further. Just that thought got secretly excited, but I know that it will be dangerous.

James come up, I looked at him, he asked me: Still not training?

I thought in my mind, I wish could know what he means.

Even though I wanted to know, I still decided to answer: Not yet.

James nodded and took the chair, and sit down next to the window, from which I was looking out.

I looked at him, and I saw that he is leaning against a wall, while eyes closed. It seemed me more that he was sleeping.

I wondered that in conversation they did mention that commander was tier 1 warrior. I was too tired last time. Because of that I went and took a chair and leaned against the wall as well.

I closed my eyes and tried to feel my body, since that what I have seen in novels and animes. Maybe I will find a hint.

I don't know how long I tried, but suddenly I felt movement when I focused on my heart. My heart pumped more and more.

And I felt how my blood was running through the system. Every circle made me fresher even though it was painful.

I got slowly addicted, it felt like smoking, drinking or adrenaline rush, when one blood circle reached back to the heart, that final moment was very exhilarating.

I heard someone calling me, which forced me out from my tranquil space.

I saw James, who was calling me when I opened my eyes.

I asked: What's wrong?

He smiled and answered: Its already late, normally new group would come who can fill in Evets and Ains, but currently there aren't enough people.

He continued: And we have to sleep, before we go scouting, its best to be well rested.

I nodded.

James: Don't be so down, we can't push ourselves trough stages anyway, we underfed. I only recommended the train because time flows faster when you focus on something.

I thought what James said, and saw a chance to ask what tier means.

Because of that, I replied: I wish I could be tier 1!

James nodded and answered: Even I wish because when we reach tier 1, we would be moved out to the real army. Our Kingdom would never bury tier 1.

I was a bit mad at myself for asking question wrongly, but I did get a bit out of James.

When we reached our beds, we hastily put upper armor, knives, and swords away and climbed up to rest.

Soon I fell asleep, even though I felt hunger, but I could hold on.

I was up before James. I looked outside and saw something amazing, when I usually wake up or go to sleep I see blood red sun, but this time I saw dark red sun. It was slowly turning bright, from which I could tell that day was approaching, it was magical.

When it finally ended, I realized that James was up.

He told me: Get yourself ready.

I nodded and jumped down from the bed.

I got myself fast ready, the only difficulty I face every morning was upper body armor. It was easy to get it on, but I had to tie from both side to shrink it on my body, no one wants to move on loose armor, it gets uncomfortable.

When I was finally ready, I moved out of the room.

I saw James, I got a bit happy because if he had rushed first, I would need a lot of time to get out of the castle, and locate the outpost, where we get out.

I followed James, this times we went outside from even larger hall and even larger door. It could be called a gate. But still made from wood.

When we reached outside, I saw a small field surrounded by walls and gate.

Near the gate, I saw a large wooden building. I guessed that its outpost.

While moving near the gate, I realized that it was the gate from which we could get back to our kingdom.

And I started to realize that I never saw where is the gate to Lost Blood Fields.

When we reached to outpost and went inside, we saw Ains, Evets and one unknown person waiting for us. The unknown person had green hair and eyes, he was short, and underfeed like the rest of us.

The unknown person suddenly spoke: That leaves one more.

Ains replied: Mesla, don't be such a busybody, there is still time.

Mesla snorted.

When we reached near Mesla, Ains, and Evets, we nodded, they greeted us as well, by nodding.

Ains suddenly spoke: Miklakla is yet to come, did you even tell him that its today?

Mesla replied: Of course, I am the one that wants to go the most. If he doesn't come, I will drag him myself.

We laughed.

My first impression of Mesla was not the best. He seemed short-tempered, but not that bad when you speak whit him.

Mesla: He came.

We all hastily looked at the door and saw another short person with brown eyes and hair, waving at us. We nodded.

He had thick eyebrows and looked like a pushover, but I wasn't planning to judge him yet.

They do say, never judge a book by its cover.

When Miklakla reached next us, Mesla started speaking: Everyone, I think we all know why we are here. There were some changes though, this time to get back we have to gather at least 3kg food per person. This rule was added yesterday because the food crisis is worse than ever before. And we aren't the only team that goes out today, there were many others forced out, that's why you can see so many groups here.

Mesla looked at Miklakla and continued: Punishment for not going to scouting trip is death.
