18 You Like Him?

It was rush hour, and Su Bei still could not find a ride. She had never been here before, and she was standing in confusion at the side of the road.

The neon lights shone brightly at night, but she could only feel the cold wind.

Suddenly, a taxi stopped in front of her. Su Bei was happy, only to realize there was someone else in the taxi.

The car door opened, and she was shocked at what she saw. "Chuxia!"

"Beibei, get into the car quickly," Lin Chuxia replied to her.

As she got into the taxi, Su Bei looked at Lin Chuxia with a shocked expression on her face. "Chuxia, why are you still here? Is this a coincidence?"

Lin Chuxia rolled her eyes. "Sir, I'm going to the international department store."

"I don't have the spare time to go shopping with you. Please send me home first, or else my mom is going to kill me," Su Bei immediately replied.

Lin Chuxia held her hand down. "Save it. I told Aunty to give you a break, so come with me tonight."

"You called my mom?" Su Bei looked at her shocked.

Lin Chuxia nodded. "I told them I'm so sick that I can't take care of myself anymore, and need you to help. Acting as if I'm on the verge of death made your mother agree to it."

"Lin Chuxia, you better stop with that. If my mother finds out, she's gonna skin you alive!" Su Bei scolded her while laughing.

Lin Chuxia stuck out her tongue. "I don't have a choice. I would travel to the mountains and seas just for you. Beibei, how about the two of us live together. Since we already have a child, we won't have to find another man."

Su Bei pushed off Lin Chuxia who had been sticking onto her firmly. "Piss off!"

Lin Chuxia laughed heartily and hugged her arms even tighter.

As they entered the mall, Lin Chuxia brought Su Bei with her around to the winter clothing section.

Su Bei looked at Lin Chuxia, who was trying on full mink clothing. "I say, you want to buy all of that?"

"Who are you kidding?" Lin Chuxia replied. "How can I wear this kind of clothing when I'm so slim?"

She then took a yellow down jacket and said, "This jacket is better for pregnant ladies like you." The jacket was shoved into Su Bei's hand. "Try it!"

Su Bei looked at her. "What's wrong with you? Buying clothes for me?"

Lin Chuxia tensed up her expression, then laughed. "I'm pitying you."

Su Bei's pupils constricted. "Lin Chuxia, you better stop with that evil laughter!"

Lin Chuxia dragged her to the changing room. "I'm just worried about you. Six years ago, you fell in love with the wrong guy and even had to deal with a terrible family! Your mother wanted to skin you alive at that time…"

"Lin Chuxia!" Su Bei's expression became ugly. She stopped and stared at her unhappily.

"Alright, alright, I'll stop talking. Let's try out the clothes, Madam!" As she saw Su Bei's anger flaring up, Lin Chuxia smiled and comforted her.

Su Bei glared at Lin Chuxia. "Who said that I regretted anything? If you talk like that again, we'll end our friendship."

Lin Chuxia bowed politely. "Yes, Your Majesty!"

Finally, Su Bei chose a down jacket which was about 1200 dollars.

She was not very willing to spend that much, but Lin Chuxia was fighting to pay that jacket for her.

When they reached home, both of them got under a single blanket.

"Beibei, you really don't know who the father of the child is?" Lin Chuxia asked.

Su Bei had a brief moment of shock. "He's a bastard."

Su Bei fell silent.

On what basis did she have to hate him?

That night, she was the one who crawled into his bed.

Tonight, it was he who let her vent her pent-up frustration.

The only thing she hated was that he did not allow her to abort the child, as if he was ready to marry her.

Seeing Su Bei in a trance, Lin Chuxia tried finding out some more clues. "Beibei, could it be that you like him?"
