Su Yu was about to flare up when Qin Yan forced him to sit down. Luo Yingdong, on the other hand, walked up the stairs with a face full of disdain.

Only then did Qin Yan release Su Yu. She seemed extremely pissed off. "Do you know who you offended today? He's the young master of the Luo's in Liang City. Do you wish to be chased out of Liang City?"

There was complexity in Su Yu's eyes as he looked at Qin Yan. "What did he mean just now?"

Qin Yan could not be bothered as she replied, "What did he mean? What else? He has taken a fancy to Beibei, but your sister was not interested in him. I just can't understand your family at all. Many women dream of entering affluent families like his but not everyone can have their dreams fulfilled. Yet, your family is acting lofty!"

Su Yu's brows furrowed deeper with rage apparent in his eyes. "Do you want to crawl into their family as well? Do you regret getting together with me?"

Qin Yan cast Su Yu a death stare and grumbled softly, "Who doesn't want to lead a wealthy married woman's life? If I knew your sister would turn out this way, I'd..."

"What will you do?" Su Yu glared at Qin Yan. "You got together with me because you thought Beibei was going to become the daughter-in-law of Zuo's?"

Qin Yan's eyes went red. "Yes, yes! I did. So what?"

"Then why are you still sticking around? Why the hell did you agree to marry me?" Su Yu, who had always been a gentle and caring man, raised his voice with her. He was really infuriated.

Qin Yan also shouted. "Because I love you!" She cried as she said, "I can't leave you!"

Su Yu was tall, suave, and his looks were comparable to those good-looking actors in Korean dramas. 

Besides, he had a warm and mellow character, a decent work ethic, and was a Prince Charming to many girls.

Finally, Su Yu had picked Qin Yan out of a pool of many admirers.

When Qin Yan found out that Su Bei was going to marry a tycoon, she was determined to marry Su Yu.

It had been six years, and so much had occurred during that period. Even though she was discontent with things the way they were, she could not let him go.

Seeing Qin Yan weeping, Su Yu's heart melted as he sat beside her and held her in his arms.

"Stop crying. Whatever I said was out of anger. But, this is my current situation now, Yan. I can't provide a luxury lifestyle for you. You have to decide if you want to marry me or not. I won't force you into anything!"

Upon hearing what he said, Qin Yan cried even harder.

After a while, both of them finally calmed down. Qin Yan spoke again. "Dear, go home and tell Aunty that she should not stop Su Bei from getting married to rich men. Only then can we stand to gain something."

Su Yu frowned. "Yan, don't you bring this topic up anymore."

He paused for a moment before he continued while looking into her eyes, "Did you do something that you shouldn't have when you introduced Luo Yingdong to Beibei?"

Qin Yan looked startled. "What do you mean by that? I don't understand."

Su Yu said, "Beibei asked me who bought the bottle of water that she drank that night out of the blue. I thought her line of questioning was kind of strange."

Qin Yan knit her eyebrows. "What else did she say?"

Su Yu shook his head. "That was it."

Qin Yan nodded her head and heaved a sigh of relief. "Dear, I'm full now. Let's go back."

The two of them left after settling the bill, but Qin Yan went back with a heavy heart.

Lin Chuxia's home.

Su Bei snuggled on the sofa, fixing her eyes on the tablet.

"What are you reading? It's bad for the baby if you read for too long," said Lin Chuxia.

Su Bei put down her tablet and sighed. "I sent out many resumes lately, but I have yet to receive any news. I have to work to support myself. How can I do that without a job?"

Lin Chuxia grinned as she said, "You have a baby in your belly. Get the father to support the both of you. You're pregnant now. Why are you still looking for a job?"

Su Bei smiled and replied, "That pervert has given up. We're a done deal!"

Lin Chuxia was stunned before she exclaimed with surprise, "What? You guys are over? He doesn't want the baby anymore?"

Ever since Hua Jinan left furiously that night, he did not show up for the week.

Su Bei was thinking he had finally given up on her this time!
