20 Confession

Su Bei and Qin Mosheng actually had a good relationship. A lot of important articles for the newspaper came from Su Bei.

Everybody knew that Qin Mosheng not only admired her talent, he even took an interest in her.

However, Su Bei did not think of him in the same way.

In her eyes, Qin Mosheng was too perfect. Rich, excellent, and good-looking.

A person that would be with him would definitely not be someone as plain and bad-repped as her.

Recently, Su Bei had a large appetite, and her morning sickness had disappeared too.

The steak she had was really nice. For a while, nobody talked.

At last, as she finished her final dessert, Su Bei focused her gaze on Qin Mosheng.

"Mosheng…"

"Call me Sheng!" That was the first thing that came out of his mouth, and Su Bei was a little surprised.

A smile appeared on Su Bei's face.

"You'll get used to it in the future." Qin Mosheng was determined.

Su Bei found that hard to believe. What does he mean by that?

Firing me off without giving any reason. Now appearing in front of me. How strange!

The corners of her red lips moved upwards. "Sheng!"

Having worked together for the past three years, it was the first time she addressed him like that.

A content smile appeared on Qin Mosheng's face. Su Bei continued, "I guess you owe me an explanation!"

Qin Mosheng nodded with a smile. "Do you want to know the reason why I fired you?"

Su Bei nodded. "Please enlighten me!"

The three years she worked there, she did her job perfectly without any error at all.

She was fired one random day, and the reason behind it kept her thinking for a long time.

Being fired was a big disgrace for the industry she worked in.

Qin Mosheng breathed in deeply, and his expression became stern, his eyes staring straight at her.

Su Bei shuddered. Why do I sense affection in his eyes!

Just as Su Bei continued to ponder this, the man spoke. "Be my girlfriend."

Qin Mosheng's voice was always beautiful. It was crisp, and it sounded uniquely magnetic.

Su Bei was shocked by his words. This was definitely not what she expected, even though she had dreamed about it before.

"Mosheng… you!" For a brief moment, she did not know what to say to him.

Qin Mosheng's seriousness did not decline, his eyes fixated on Su Bei's face. "Su Bei, don't tell me you don't understand what I mean."

Su Bei shook her head. "Editor-in-chief, can you stop with the jokes?"

"I like you! Since the first time we met!" His confession was straight to the point. "It's been three years!"

Su Bei looked at him, not sure how to respond to him.

"I really didn't know about it!" She shook her head.

"It's not too late!" Qin Mosheng smiled with relief.

"Then you fired me just because you wanted to confess to me today?" Su Bei asked.

The man smiled. "The rule that dating is forbidden in the company was set by me!"

Su Bei was already calm at the moment. She smiled and said, "This means that you wanted to fire me, then confess to me!"

Qin Mosheng understood what she really meant, and he looked at her. "Rest assured, I will not let your reputation be at stake!"

Su Bei looked at him. "What do you intend to do?"

"You'll know tomorrow." Qin Mosheng looked calm as if he already had a plan.

If Su Bei knew what he was planning, she would definitely not be sitting there calmly!
