9 This Prince Wants to Butcher You!

With a population of three billion and an army numbering in the millions, the Azure Cloud Country was the most powerful mortal empire of the Ancient Sea World. However, no matter how large of an empire it was, it was still a mortal empire and as such, its most powerful expert had only reached the peak of the Primordial Spirit Realm. Usually, the highest cultivation level in mortal realms was Soul Transcendence. However, those would usually remain in seclusion as they desperately sought the road to immortality. Usually to no avail. Thus, the most powerful experts in the secular world were Primordial Spirit Realm cultivators.

The Azure Cloud Country had five of those, but today, in front of the crumbling Azure Cloud imperial palace, four were lying in a pool of their own blood while the remaining one, a wrinkled, white-haired old man, knelt with blood dripping from his orifices. His despondent yet furious eyes were locked on three floating immortals with slit green eyes who looked at him with a mixture of disinterest and contempt.

"WHY?! As immortals, as existences supposed to pursue the true meaning of the Dao, you have descended on our mortal world to shed the blood of innocents, slaughtering millions of people in a single day, countless souls full of hopes and expectations for the future! Why? What have we done to deserve such a fate? What have we done to offend you that you must be so cruel toward us? For generations, our Azure Cloud Empire has always advocated world peace and expended innumerable resources to achieve that goal! So why is it that today you want to exterminate us?! Give me a reason!"

The old man roared but with every sentence, spat a large amount of blood. In the distance behind the three immortals, there were several other weaker immortals wreaking havoc within the Azure Cloud City. It was gigantic by mortal standards with ten thousand square miles and more than fifty million people. That number, however, was quickly dwindling, with hundreds of mortals being slaughtered every second by the dozens of immortals. All had the same green slit eyes which shone with deeply rooted cruelty.

"Immortals, my old mother is already seventy this year, what harm can she cause? Please spare her!"

His mothers' head was smashed into meat paste and his heart gouged out.

"Immortals, please spare my child! He is only six years old! I beg you no!"

The child was cleanly slain, and his pleading mother gored.

"Immortals, please have mercy on my pregnant wife!"

Mercy she would not have. Only a gaping hole in her chest.

Countless pleas soared to the sky but were only answered with blood and gore!

"Hehehehe! Pitiful ants. What right do you have to bargain with us? Today we Ba serpents want to cleanly slaughter the fifty million people of your so-called imperial city. You want a reason? Fine, to feed our starving bellies!"

Hearing their leader's words, the remaining two men exploded in laughter.

"Elder brother well said! How are those ants qualified to get reasons from us? Absurd! Brothers and sisters, unleash your true forms, sate your hunger and show them, true terror! In any case, a few million less will not affect the boss' plans."

Hearing this, the dozens of immortals conducting the slaughter also burst into laughter and almost immediately afterward, their bodies expanded and morphed into that of massive green serpents whose undulating bodies soared toward the sky and stretched across thousands of meters.

Seeing their true forms, the already desperate citizens of the Azure Cloud Country fell into soul-rending horror. Even the more experienced peak stage Primordial Spirit realm old man couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with fright.

"Demons! You are not immortals! You are demons!"

Hearing this, the ridicule within the three leading serpent men's eyes only deepened.

"Imbecile. We are indeed immortals. Who told you that immortals had to be human?"

"Elder brother let's dissect this uneducated worm and save his remains for the young ones."

"Not a bad idea. In any case, the only ones that truly matter are currently being chased by Boss. Once Boss snatches them, we can then offer a massive blood sacrifice to the artifact and break its shackles. If we need more, we can just get it elsewhere!"

Of the three serpent men, two were at the middle stage of Dao Threading while the third one was at the late stage. As for the dozens of gigantic ba serpents, they were all in the Dao Revelation Immortal Realm. As for the boss in their mouth, he was a Great Dao Immortal! For such a lineup to appear in a mortal world was simply unheard of.

The gigantic ba serpents opened their maws and voracious suction power pulled thousands of corpses into them! Witnessing this scene, the people were in disarray for they knew they would soon become the serpents' meals. No one wanted to be subjected to such a brutal end!

"I do not care if you are immortals or demons. I only know that every single one of you worms is a rotten son of a bitch! If every immortal is like you, heaven truly deserves to be burned!"

The one who spoke was a scrawny, dark-skinned little boy with short dirty ebony hairs and a furious, blazing pair of black eyes. He seemed to be around twelve years old, and while obviously weak and barely managing to stand on his feet, he spoke clearly, with twice the courage of an adult.

Behind him were two younger children, a boy and a girl around nine years old who held the corners of his clothes with apparent fear in their eyes.

"Evil creature! Daring to insult immortals of the serpent clan, I will slowly peel off your skin and make you die a cruel death!"

One of the towering Dao Revelation serpents spoke and shot toward the boy.

"Bullshit! You have already done so many cruel deeds, yet only now are you going to become cruel? I only hate that I'm weak and cannot cleanly slaughter your evil lot to avenge the hatred in my heart!"

That boy and his two siblings had grown up in the imperial city and although their family was poor, and getting by was difficult, they were still happy and enjoyed the blessing of loving parents. However, in an instant, those wretched creatures descended from the sky and immediately began slaughtering the people of their city! Fortunately for them, when their parents saw the slaughter begin, they hid them within boxes and didn't allow them to come out.

However, when the beasts activated their devouring powers, although it wasn't directed at them, the boxes shattered, and their house fell into ruins. It was a miracle that they survived with only light wounds. But upon seeing his parents' corpses being swallowed, instead of clinging on any dim hope of survival, he stood up and spat his hatred-fueled words at the beasts.

"Yes, you are a feeble ant and can only wait to be slaughtered! But first I will make you watch as I swallow those little fleas at your side."

But as the Dao Revelation ba serpent's ferocious head approached the trio of siblings, a massive hundred meters long spear fell like a bolt of lightning, pierced its head, and impaled it onto the ground in a massive gush of blood!

"Cr-crr—"

The ba serpent tried to say a few words, but the spear nailing its maw prevented it from doing so.

*Boom*

Massive ice blue flames erupted from the spear and spread through the serpent's body. Strangely, however, wherever those flames went, the serpent didn't burn. Instead, its body was being erased by the blue flames' ominous power in a gruesomely painful process that only allowed its impeded mournful howl to be heard!

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!"

The other serpents attempted using several water incantations to cleanse the fire, but it was all to no avail and soon, the serpent vanished into nothingness, destroyed in body and soul!

"Who dared?!"

The three Dao Threading Immortal roared in unison. They could see that the fire now was extreme yin fire. A rare fire that could only be cultivated by immortals majoring in the ancient path of yin. Although they were Dao Threading Immortals, they had only cultivated elemental laws which belonged to the superior paths and were therefore slightly deterred.

"This prince dared!"

A booming, overwhelming voice echoed from within the sky. Following it, a white-robed figure descended onto the crumbling imperial city. It was a scholarly and refined youth who would usually exude extraordinariness and immortality. Today, however, he was enraged, and his eyes burned with the desire to slaughter!

Unable to recognize him, the trio assumed that he was just some roaming immortal with some karma with the Azure Cloud Country and therefore were not afraid.

"We are immortals of the Ba branch of the serpent clan under his Excellency, the Great Dao Immortal Ba Zu! The lives of those people are of great importance to his Excellency. Thus, if you turn around now and no longer interfere, we will consider your ignorance and forgive this slight!"

Although they had said that, they only wanted to wait for Ba Zu to return in order to confidently hunt down and slaughter that man!

"Hahahahaha! Turn around? This prince will not turn around! Not only will this prince not turn, but this prince will keep interfering!"

Hearing this the Dao Threading serpent trio's eyes immediately grew colder.

"You are not willing to give face to his excellency? Are you that eager to die?"

"Die? Indeed, today many immortals will die for this prince wants to butcher every single one of you!"

As if echoing his words, massive ice-blue flames erupted from his body and from his back emerged a palm-sized ice blue lotus which hovered above his head.

Seeing that blue lotus, the dozens of immortals' eyes widened with shock and disbelief.

"Complete Dao Armament! Peak stage Dao Threading!"

Instantly, they realized they had just kicked pure iron.

"Vermin of your caliber, worms that ruthlessly abuse their powers to harm the common people and fiendishly relish in the plight of the weak do not deserve to exist within heaven and earth! Perish in my extreme yin lotus fire!"

The blue lotus unfolded and from its core, released a geyser of cold blue fire which soared toward the dozens of massive Dao Revelation Serpents.
