Chapter 7 - Future Wife

Fujimira Miyu tore the empress's hands off her before leaving her in the dust. Miyu rushed through the streets with the box in her hood pocket. Arata gripped his claws tighter on her shoulder to hold on. Miyu gritted her teeth when she noticed that the crowd doubled in size when she came here earlier. She had to shove millions of people and Miyu winced at all the contact. Miyu doesn't really like being touched much, she always thought of what that person last touched and it being smeared all over her body. Miyu was a very clean my person and liked everything organized.

A large man in a fine, blue cloak pushed everyone out of the way with his air power, which was actually quite weak. The crowd was forced to make a path for the large man but Miyu just stood in the open path, seemingly unaffected by the pressure of air forced upon her. The large man raised an eyebrow and tried to shove her again, harder this time. Miyu didn't budge and started to glare at the man.

"You have any business with me?" Miyu asked the man, agitated by the man and craving a fight. The fight beforehand was quick because of the fighters power level, but this large man seems to have a higher level. Miyu had a lot of pent up energy from her stupid family members and she wanted to let it out.

The large man coughed and glared at Miyu with red eyes, "You must move aside! I'm the messenger for the emperor himself, so let. me through!"

Miyu raised an eyebrow at the large amount of space surrounding her, "Couldn't you walk around me?"

The large man fumed, "Do you have any respect for the emperor?"

Miyu cocked her, "I'd have more if he trained his messengers to have a little more manners."

The large man grumbled loudly and ran towards Miyu. The thumps of the man's run and everyone surrounding them quiet. Miyu kept an indifferent face while the man walked in front of her and stopped.

"Do you want to battle little girl? I'd this really what you want?"

Miyu spoke softly but everyone heard, "I'll only fight if you bet something."

The messenger chuckled, "You need to bet something as well. I'm not coming out of this without anything."

Miyu grinned and held the box of coins she just won. She opened the box and everyone gasped, watching the interactions between the two people.

"This is what I'm betting, how about you?"

The messenger, seeming pleased, took a small sack off his belt and unraveled it to show Miyu, it had millions of tiny jewels.

"This is what I'm betting, are your ready little girl?"

Miyu grinned under her cloth, "Yes, let's put our bets to the side and then we can begin."

Miyu is ecstatic, 'this is a great way to get more money for my escape!'

They lay their bets to the side and walk a few steps away from each other. The messenger counts down and when he finishes, he immediately attacks. He uses air again and tries to force Miyu to fall down. But not even a hair on her hair moved. The messenger and frowned but decided to run and fight her with water. He runs straight at Miyu but she doesn't move a single muscle. She just stands there waiting, while the messenger runs at her. When he's a few feet away she lifts her hand up. The water flowing around the messenger immediately is taken over by Might and surrounds the messenger's feet and ties him to the ground. The messenger trips and falls face first into the dirt. Miyu walks over to him and uses Earth to tie his hands to the ground. The messenger is stuck on the ground, and everytime he struggles the shackles tighten. Miyu walks slowly to him, taking her time. She crouched down next to his head before whispering,

"Do you surrender?"

After their meeting, the empress ran home to her son. She stomped into the scroll room after a maid told where he was and yelled,

"I've found you wife!"

Ryota swiveled around and rose his eyebrows, "What now?"

Kouki grinned, "There was a powerful woman in 'The Little Lotus' bar and I'm going to meet her again next week! You must come with me!"

As Kouki began to chatter on about all the details, Ryota began to wonder, 'Who is this mysterious woman?'

When Kouki informed him that they mystery woman's name is Hood he got up from his chair and walked out of the room. Kouki got frightened with his sudden movement but soon recovered and followed Ryota out. He walked towards the guards at the front gate and told them,

"Find me the woman named Hood. It's not her real name. She is a powerful woman, so be careful. Make sure you find her, and do everything in your power. Make flyers for the people, get spies go look, everything. I need this woman alive."

The guards nodded their heads but Kouki was shocked, "Are you going to kill her?"

Ryota frowned, "I'm just trying to find my future wife."
