Chapter 55 - Sweetly

Kasumi walked quickly to sit next to Ryota. She tried to ignore the whispering around her, but it soon began to mess with her head. Was she really imperfect? Was she not the best? Who dares to defy me? She's going to kill her sister for what she's done to her!

She kept these thoughts inside and instead smiled at the handsome prince in front of her, "I'm sorry that you had to see that. It was just a simple sibling fight..."

When she saw that Ryota didn't respond and kept a straight face, she grew worried. Does he hate her now? NO!

She laughed sweetly and pressed herself more against the table, trying to win him over, "You were right.. my sister does have a great voice..."

Kasumi almost threw up. She couldn't believe that she was complimenting her stupid sister! But, she would do anything for this prince. And she would to anything to GET with this prince.

Ryota sighed when he heard this, 'Really? Did she really say that? I can't believe it, this arrogant slut actually complimented someone else! This is impossible for this stuck up white lotus in front of me, but she did it! I guess I should be proud, she would do anything for me, even drop her dignity.'

Ryota gave her a soft smile before saying, "I understand. Now, don't take this the wrong way, but I have to leave. I have something important to attend to. Let's meet again?"

Kasumi was sad when he said he was going to leave, but when he spoke that last sentence her whole world lifted up, "Yes! I would love to!"

Arata was laughing on the bed hysterically. He was rocking back and forth and his tail was wagging in the air, "Did you see her face? DID YOU SEE IT?"

Miyu chuckled sweetly from the desk in front of the window. She was reading from a book. The book was on the history of royalty, all the scandals and families. Everything that you needed to know in the past few decades. She was researching about family relatives or deaths or even outright reasons why families might hate each other. Sadly, it wasn't so simple. Miyu could barely find anything in the book, and this frustrated her.

Miyu slammed the book on the ground, startling Arata. He stopped laughing and instead ran to her side, "Master, are you alright?"

Miyu sighed and smiled at him, "Yes, I am alright, Arata."

She picked up the book and put it in its pile, "I'm just a bit frustrated. I knew finding solid information wouldn't be easy, but it still frustrates me."

Arata sighed as well. She jumped onto her desk and blinked at her, "I'm sorry, Master. I wish there was someway to help you."

Miyu smiled and squished his cheeks, making him frown. Miyu chuckles, "Just stay your adorable self and then I'll be fine."

Arata changed from frowning to blushing in a second, tainting his silky, white fur pink.

He mumbled, "I'm not cute."

Miyu laughed and played with his hairs, "Yes you are, don't you deny it..."

Arata frowned and hissed at her, "Don't touch me, my hair is being tainted by you!"

Miyu let go and said, "Sorry, you could've said something earlier."

Arata hopped off the desk and onto the window, "Didn't feel like it. Hey, isn't that your husband?"

Miyu looked out the window, "Yes, that is..."

Ryota was sleeping on a branch that had a direct view through her window. She chuckled, thinking that he was spying on her. 'Wow, what a great spy, he even slept on the job. I'm proud of him, though.'

She jumped out her window and climbed the tree. She stopped and sat on a branch next to him. She took one of the small branches with a few leaves on it and broke it off the tree. She took the branch and used it to play with his nose.

After a while, Ryota began to scratch his nose, cutely. Miyu giggled and continued to do it.

When it seemed like he won't wake up from her tickling him, she threw the branch away and rested on her own large branch.

Once she closed her eyes, she felt a weight press down on her. She opened them up and gasped when she saw bright blue staring back at her, "You really didn't think I was awake, did you? You know, I'm disappointed in you, wifey."
